The latest VJump features the Alice In Wonderland world in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and it displays a release date of (drum-roll please) 2009/5!

If you look in the white box you can see the release date. As soon as a better quality image is available I’ll post it for you.

Is this a confirmation of the actual release date for Japan? Only Square Enix can confirm or deny this.

A Square-Enix representative has commented on GameStop’s release date for Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days for the Nintendo DS.

“We don’t have a launch date for [Kingdom Hearts] yet… hopefully that will come in the next couple of months.”

When I reported the release date, I originally said that this was the release date for Days. However, I went back and added that it was technically a rumor because no official statement could be found. Now we know that the actual release date for Days will be much later.

Kotaku Australia updated their website with news that Square-Enix brought toys to the New York Comic Con. That’s right. TOYS.

While the rest of the other video game publishers at the NYCC brought video games for fans to check out, Square-Enix brought lots and lots of toys. No playable demos. No trailers. Just toys.

At least these were new toys. On display were action figures and statues from Final Fantasy VII, Crisis Core, Star Ocean, and of course, Kingdom Hearts. Although, I bet most of these are already available in Japan. You don’t even want to know how many times I heard “Oh My God! Final Fantasy!” while standing there.

With the release date of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days in Japan rapidly approaching, very little news is being released, unfortunately. Do not get discouraged. We’ll provide you with any news we can find.
