Sorry, but it has not yet. Tetsuya Nomura stated that Birth by Sleep was a mess as far as time goes. The staff is hoping to get it released by the end of this year in Japan, so I’m expecting early to mid spring for Europe and NA, possibly later if they don’t hit their goal.

Ok, people are saying lot’s of weird stuff. I’ve looked around and watched videos from gaming conventions and stuff, and heres things I’ve pieced together:
Birth by Sleep takes place 10 years before Kingdom Hearts 1.
The main characters are Ventus/Ven, Terra, and Aqua.
The main enemies are called “Unbirths”.
Ven is NOT the same person as Roxas, because Roxas wouldn’t have been created for 10 years. But they do have identical features and similar clothing. I beat Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, and there is a cut scene where Roxas’s copy Xion is fighting Xigbar. But whenever Xigbar looks at Xion, he see’s Ven. So somehow Organization XIII ties in also.
One thing I’ve noticed is that Sora means wind, Ven means air, Riku means ground, Terra means earth, Kairi means ocean, and Aqua means water. So theres some connection there.
Theres a movie of Terra watching two young boys playing with wooden swords on the beach (Sora and Riku) and he whispers, “Forget about me, my friend.” So they definitely knew each other.
There has been speculation that Sora is an Unbirth, but I don’t think so.
There has also been speculation that Terra somehow becomes Xehanort, Ansem the Wises apprentice. You can decide that for yourself by comparing images of them.
Theres a lot more stuff, but to much to write. I’m not saying any of this is true, it’s just what I’ve read and pieced together.

It’s pretty cool, but if ventus was sealed inside sora, there has to be a connection to Xion in 358/2 days because Xigbar sax Ventus instead of Xion.

ChibiSora, actually your comment makes a lot of sense. Ventus and Roxas both look alike. In the secret video he dies. maybe thats why Sora can use the keyblade.

The God of War collection is coming out and I was just thinking it would be freaking awesome if there was a Kingdom Hearts Final Mix Collection. It would have Kingdom Hearts Final Mix 1 and 2. Even if it wasn’t HD i’d still buy it. I think everyone should write to Square Enix to make it happen. Thats how The God of War Collection got made.

Terra is not xehanort first of all Terra is a girl and second xehanort is a guy. another error is of some people about ventus not being sora,also just roxas and ventus being each other is not accurate them three are one because of roxas.roxas has ventus’ heart and when roxas went into sora in the second game so that’s how them three are connected.oh,and people are getting mixed up about kh3 release date in japan its sometime at the end of December and hits everywhere January 10,2010. i am the number one kingdom hearts fan and this is true.

yea #1 KH Fan Terra is a DUDE, Aqua is the girl. Ven is still alive becuse his eyes are still moving. And Clearly Sora and Ven are connected someway because Xigbar sees her as Ven, but Roxas isn’t ventus’ nobody because welll thats just stupid, His name is ROxAS=SORA+x and than Roxas would be like 20 something or older, so yea Number one Kingdom Hearts fan get your facts straight, you are clearly not the number one kingdom hearts fan and nothing u said was true, except Xehanort being a guy but thats common sense.
