There’re also new interviews from a magazine, found in the “Light In The Chaos Blog”. Found at KH-Vids:
- A part of the latest secret movie is related to the new series.
- You get the “Experience Zero” ability at the beginning of Critical Mode, which is for those who might find Critical Mode too easy. It a problem if you accidentally equip it though.
- At the top of Pride Lands, there use to be exactly 144 heartless there, but in Final Mix they have become one enemy. (No more free experience from there.)
- Making the Enigmatic Soldier an Optional Boss Fight was a staff member’s idea.
- The Organization XIII battles from before have changed a lot.
- At a new scene, when Zexion is walking, he suddenly stops as though he’s thinking of something. The players should be able to work out why Zexion stopped.
- The Organization XIII Mushroom Heartless were an idea from the staff ever since Kingdom Hearts II was developed. Back then it was too big to put into the game, so it was added as a sidequest for Final Mix.
- At first Nomura was going to put the Roxas fight in Kingdom Hearts II, but due to the time consumption, he took the fight out in the end. He also wanted to add an additional bit to that event, and a new form. He was thinking about the abilities that could reside around the first Kingdom Hearts game.
- The music after the battle against Roxas was meant to match the event completely. When Nomura did the battle against Roxas, he wanted to convince people about how emotional the battle was, and so created an event after the battle. The battle music he saw as “Different” for when he had Sora face up against Roxas.
- There are some changes in the game the staff made that even Nomura doesn’t know about!
- Re: Chain of Memories was made more from a less justifying view first. It seemed that Nomura wanted to make the camera like Kingdom Hearts, but it would be hard for the team to fully do this, so he changed it around. (Thank goodness they didn’t.)
- The team also put in a few changes for the Last Boss against Sora. Nomura took charge for this battle. It seemed to be *** of **** of Sora. (The *** were censored in the magazine.) All he can say is that it has to do with Marluxia, and it is a very very painful attack.
- The New Series is NOT Kingdom Hearts III. (Nomura wants to make sure you remember that.) (The fact that he says it’s a series is promising!)
- For Re: Chain of Memories, Shimomura and the team worked day in and day out, although this was only for the battle music. She wanted to have different feelings such as “Happy Battle” “Sad Battle” and “Terrible Music”. There is also something about a “Third Form” added to the Last boss.
- Yoko Shimomura put ALL her work and effort in the Roxas battle music. She was pushed to her limit. The battle is meant to be very very emotional. Nomura believed Shimomura already met the standards, but Shimomura wanted to push herself further.
There are two versions of the Organization XIII battles. The first ones are scattered throughout the Worlds, and Nomura stated no one should have any trouble with them at all. However, for the re-fights in the new area, players will have to be at least be level 99 if they want to stand a chance.

The “Roxas” look-a-like’s eyes are still moving, so he’s not dead. Just frozen, I guess.
When they say ‘The New Series’ is that refering to the secret ending video and the series portrayed in that?

I can’t wait to play that next Kingdom Hearts game!! :3 It sounds like it’ll be so awesome!
Oh, and the boy who got frozen isn’t Roxas (looks just like him, though!), because Nomura had said the armoured guys were all new characters.
And no, the Roxas-ish kid didn’t die, since, like Dawn said, his eyes were still moving.

That was hot. I don’t think any of them was Sora. To tell you the truth that had to be something that happened along time ago or when Mickey was in the dark realm, but watever it was it was hot. It gets darker and darker and i have a feeling this might be the best out of the series. I don’t see wat was everybody’s problem KH2, it had some cheap scenes bu it was a damn good game it reminded me of FFX-2 after the fun and play the story unfolds so dramatic and satifying.

I think that many people have overlooked a very important fact in the secret ending video; When the moon is revealed (It was hidden behind the clouds), Only then does the enigmatic soldiers’s eyes change colour. Is he similar in some way to Saix, the berserker of Org. XIII?

At least I’m pretty dead sure that the old man is Xehanort, When you do that final mix battle with the soldier he is repeating xehanort’s name at the end, as well as the names of his two comrades at the beginning; Aqua and Ben(Gwen?).

And yes all or almost of this has to when Micky was in the Dark Realm. Like a bad memory coming true no matter what he did to prevent it(King Micky). THE KINGDOM HEARTS WAR HAS BEGUN.

That Old man can Hardly be Xehanort. He looks Nothing like him. Also he seems to dress in the same Clothes as Ansem from Kh1. I think that was Sora that got Frozen. Could have been Roxas it was really hard to tell. This Game looks so brill but there is loads of Questions yet to be answered and somehow I get the feeling we wont know then all for a long time yet

If that was their children, that would be awesome! Can’t wait for it to come out. I’ll probabaly in collage by then or high school or whatever. in a different site i went to someone pointed out that kingdom hearts (the moon) was a different color. then the guy’s eyes change color after seeing it. so maybe it’s like an evil version that the old dude created

That guy is SO EVIL. If that’s the story line i don’t think i really like it. I prefered the story in Kingdom Hearts II, how about you whay do you think? Kingdom Hearts is so emotional for me, i don’t ever want it to end, it’s amazing. RIKU IS SO CUTE!!!!!

hey, i also have a theory,
listen, ok, remember when they let out kh1? it was for ps2. then they let out re:chain of memories, and it was for the newest handheld device (GBA)and that was the real second one. then theylet out kh2, for ps2, (again) so if they make a kh3, by next year most likely it’ll end up on psp. and its totally possible, butthat would suck because the graphics would be so terrible, and it would be so hard to play it. but, i have a psp anyways, so ha ha!

Kairi, first of all that wasn’t Sora. Second: Tetsuya Nomura said that this is a new series with new characters. It’s all new! Sora isn’t in it, nor Kairi, nor Riku. The old gang may be mentioned in this new series, but they’re not going to be in it.

General, please forgive me if I say something stupid ( I haven’t done much research ), but I watched something with an older-looking guy, an accomplice of some sort, and three opposing warriors.
One of them had either the Oblivion keyblade or Riku’s blade, I couldn’t tell at the time.
Another got frozen by the older guy and thrown off a cliff or something and as he fell, he was stripped of his armor. When he finally gets to the ground, you see thatt he strongly resembles Sora, and the third warrior seems to resemble Kairi in her actions (her concern for the Sora look-a-like.

O_O What if this old guy is the creator of the Keyblade? That would be crazy anyways, what people should know by now, is that the frozen kid = Not Dead, the next KH won’t be called Kingdom Hearts 3, and this video confuses the hell outta most of us because we have no clue who these people are….

the only (dumb) thing i dont understand/think is stupid is that all of the sudden (in KH2) kairi got a key blade and all of a sudden knows how to use it. now i know that its not hard to attack with a keyblade but i think its really dumb how she gets a keyblade all of a sudden when sora and riku get it because soras light and rikus dark-ish but kairis just a pretty face.

one more thing i think reason why kairi is able to use the key blade is because she was in sora body in kh1 and well in she in there she my have been given able to use the key balde. but she may may not have all the power of riku or sora

there is a scene of Zexion and Xigbar talking about the ‘room of sleep’ where xemnas talk with a person alone!that person is aqua that appears in another scene.

and say ‘it’s been a long time… my friend’ and shows aqua’s armour!

xigbar say thats after the apperance of various keyblade wielders(KH2:final mix secret end), Xehanort was catched by Ansem the wise as his assistent!
THAT’S WAS THE BEGGINING OF EVRYTHING!the secret scene shows xehanort begginig to transform himself into a nobody. after that Ansem the wise took him!and then after taking care of his master, xehanort reopens the underground laboratory!!!

Ok, when they zoom to Roxa’s alike soldier, i feel like he was more Sora than Roxas, well Roxas doesnt exist…
Why is the king there??, that’s the big question i think…
And…..how many years have the king XD, or maybe until the copyright dissapears XD….
I have the game but, i din’t destroy the soldier, i lvl 82 now, well still a long journey, the other thing is that the final, well, the real final boss of the game is so easy, there wasn’t improveements or something, and you know, Xemnas-AnsemX, Roxas-SoraX-and all the gangs of the bad boys .

frist of all the tallest knight is XEHANORT.and like riku he has the power of darkness but is still good.(thats why at the end his eyes turn yellow)
the old guy wants the power of kindom hearts. the 3 knights try to fight him but fail and aqua and ven loose ther hearts. xehanort trys to use the power of darkness to stop the old guy but looses his memories.then king micky finaly stops the old guy. 10 years later ansem the wise finds xehanort. wile studing under ansem, xehanort finds the armer of aqua. thus giving him some of his memories. then trys to birng her heart back at any means. and is swallowed by the darkness thus making ansem and xemnas. thats why xemnas has the armer and calls it old friend. the knight sora fights is xehanorts first nobody. this is so becus also like riku was once evil. a and gave this heart to the old man.( that is who the guy in black is,xehanorts heartless) but like riku came back to the light.

Well… It seems that the Knights (Ven, Aqua, and possibly Xehanort) have some kind of connection to Sora, Riku, and Kairi.
If you notice the meanings of their names are related. Ven is Latin for Wind, and Sora is Sky. Aqua is Latin for Water, and Kairi for Ocean/Beach. The only person who’s name doensn’t have anything to do with the characters is Xehanort.
Another little theory I have is that the old guy takes over the body of the Knight (tentatively Xehanort), and assumes his identity. This would explain why his eyes turn yellow. In the Ansem Reports, Xehanort writes that his body is aging, and that he needs a new one. I suppose that the old guy actually wrote the reports, and found a young body in the Knight.

guys, remember nomuras sorta first interview, well, he said that the new kingdom hearts project will take place in both the past and the present.
and one thing that always made me wonder was, y we NEVER saw sora’s mom OR kairi’s OR riku’s. and they were on some deserted island. and in KHII there’s a mainland like right next to it. but ANYWAYS. we never see any parents. but we DO HEAR sora’s mom in KH(yes, sweet memories of kh1) and nomura said that theyre ALL new char. BUT old char will be mentioned. which could mean that these have something to do with sora and kairi, and riku’s parents, and sora kairi and riku are mentioned.

i think it takes place while sora is chaining his memories and the guy at the end is kari’s dad because she wasn’t born on the island.
