Disney approach Square about KHIII!
KingdomHearts3.net has been kindly informed by reader Phillip Tucker that IGN have released an article in response to Dengeki PlayStation’s recent interview with Tetsuya Nomura.
“We’ve already been approached by the Disney side saying that they want us to make it,” said the busy producer regarding the next installment in the series. “What I can say at this time is ‘We have various ideas, but we’re not at the point where we can say that.’ Looking at the development schedule, after KHII FM+, the Kingdom Hearts team has Final Fantasy Versus XIII awaiting, so it’s physically impossible at the present. I feel that it’s not the right time to talk about the future of Kingdom Hearts.”
Clearly this is not confirmation that there will be a Kingdom Hearts III, but this is probably as good as we’re going to get for a while. All the FINAL FANTASY games are coming out, so they will not wish to overly congest their market.

First off, of course I’m not the Riku from the game lol. There will most likely be a KH3 but not KH4. It’s been announced that due to development on Final Fantasy XIII, KH3 will be released sometime within 2008-9. The interview revealed that we have to work out for ourselves what the expressions at the letter mean:
“I was troubled for a very long time on whether I should show the letter’s contents or not, and in the end I decided to let people speculate it themselves. You can guess what’s in the letter by looking at those three’s facial expressions: Sora looking at it blankly, Riku smirking and Kairi looking slightly worried. If it was just a “Hello, it’s been awhile”, they would be smiling instead so at least it’s hinted it is not that kind of simple letter.”
As for the Keychains, there’s been talk of Keyblades without Keychains possibly being fakes, but many people disagree.

excuse me, but im not exactly getting whats happening right now. ok, first of all will there be a knigdom hearts 3? i am dieing to know!!! also do u know when it will be released? and i noticed that when sora, riku, and kairi were reading the letter why was riku smiling and sora and kairi looked concerned? oh and i know this is also a very stupid question but when the screen name on the top says ” response from riku” is that the riku that plays him in the game? oh i love u sora, riku, axel ,cloud, and roxas

I agree with Namine completely lol. My life would be a shambles without video games! I’m a gamer and I always will be!
It seems we’re not talking much about KH3 anymore, but I would say we just have to wait and see what clues KH2: Final Mix gives us.

lol I’m much older and plan to be a gamer probably all my life, You’re never too old to have fun playing games. They will make Kingdom Hearts III - According to the interview, it depends on the amount of demand for the next game, and as there is MASSIVE amounts of demand for KHIII, I’m 98% sure it’ll be made.

I am a enormouse kingdom hearts fan…and im only 13…if kingdom hearts is coming out in 2-3 years, I will not be able to buy them because my parents said I will be to “old” to play video games. So thats a problem…you will be losing more buyers. I love kingdom hearts alot…sometime…since I bought a big wooden sowerd… me and my friends would play kingdome of hearts in my back yard and in th woods, I would be Sora and my friends would be Donald and Goofy…and the heartless would be big work trucks or tree’s. When I am at home…my 5 year old sister would ask me if she can play kingdom hearts because she loves the disney character’s. Kingdome hearts is just so magical and heart-warming. They taught me lessons of life and friendship. If you would like…I would beg you, PLAESE MAKE KINGDOM HEARTS III! There’ll possibly be a fourth FFXIII released slightly later apparently, but unfortunately I don’t think there’ll be a Kingdom Hearts 4.

of course they gonna make KH3. Some other people are working on Final Fantasy 13. So you gotta have to wait and stop complaining. if you want it right now, talk to the creator.

My girl eh? Didn’t know I had one lol. I’m pretty positive there will be a KH3, but it’ll be many years from now. We’ll get more info as to what it’s about in the KHII: Final Mix Secret Ending. If there turns out not to be one, that probably means there won’t be a KH3.
Anywhoo, quotes from the interview:
“Who are the 3 armoured people?”
