After completing Kingdom Hearts 2, the ending movie jumped from the simple graphics that you have seen throughout the game to, once again, “super graphics.” Basically, the animation of Sora and Riku got much better and looked really decent actually. As you watched the pair on thebeach of “the darkness,” It’s hard not to wonder why they couldn’t make it to the REAL Destiny Islands, and if the game ended right there, would there be another one.

Although they left many things quite unclear, such as how a doorway even appeared in front of Riku and Kairi, I wondered why such a door would randomly appear right after Sora received the letter from Kairi. Although it is a bit romatic, one must ask “Why?” However, no one really wants to know. They were able to be reunited, even after Riku’s comment on how the darkness world was perfect for him, which is all that really matters.

One must ask them self, “What would have happened IF Sora and Riku had stayed in the darkness world. Would they have been to travel to other worlds, and would they get a tan of some sort? Would they have become powerful heartless because of the long hours they would have been forced to spend in the darkness? I’d actually look forward to reading fanfics about what kind of possibilities that the two could have been faced with, such as becoming the new evil force for the third game.

To be fair, I think that they should make a demo or a mini-something for the PlayStation 2 that would illustrate some of the things that could have happened if Sora and Riku had given in to the darkness and become heartless/nobody rulers (Something more than fan-fiction). It would make a great game for those of us who love the Kingdom Hearts series but hate the “goody two shoes” attitude that Sora has. I personally was happy when Riku was able to control the darkness and was pissed off when Axel died. Maybe it’s just my hatred for all things happy, bright, and blood-less.

While I will not be so bold as to say that Kingdom Hearts III will be on the PlayStation 4 (Live in your world, Die in mine!) I do think that the game will be pushed back a few years. Since it has been confirmed that there will be a war, which countless videos on YouTube have confirmed, I will be glad to know that the game will be contained on a Blue Ray disk, however, which will allow for the supreme graphics and extensive storyline. If Square Enix wanted to create an extremely confusing game, much like they have done with the Final Fantasy Series, they would do something similar to changing the main characters halfway through the game, or making two different plotlines, which will give many more hours of gameplay (and two different save files to play both).

If the programmers can create two or three different paths that the characters could take, instead of one “save the universe” string of thoughts that the player is forced to have, the game would be much more interesting. The possibilities are endless!

(Pardon my thoughts of the following paragraph. I am simply mad at a few things that occurred during KHII)

Speaking of saving the universe, I don’t understand why Sora was forced to serve under “King” Mickey, who was rarely around, a spy in the organization, and kept information from Sora that could have helped him, and saved us from the not-so-perfect voice for Sora in the English version. I admit, the voice was very good, but some of the emotional tones Soras was trying to express were not expressed in the English voice. I honestly wish that English dubs would make a sincere effort to TRY and imitate the emotions that the Japanese voice actors are able to accomplish. On a lighter note, Sora should have been given some kind of promotion, or even a reward would have been nice. He saved all the worlds TWICE from evil rule or obliteration, saved each individual world multiple times, and all he got in return were several variations of the Keyblade. You would think that anyone else would demand a little money, instead of going around to collect it from dying heartless/nobodies.

I really hope that Square Enix and Disney decide to do something other than “Slay the heartles.” It got really redundant when you would walk five steps and there would be ANOTHER five heartless/nobodies standing there which led to another round of button mashing on the controller. I don’ t think that there should be anymore killing of heartless/nobodies. Hopefully the Chasers will put up more of a fight.

I still do not understand how Sora, Riku, and Kairi expect to get off the islands without the stupid gummi ship, and what kind of urgent message that King Mickey could possibly tell them. They saved the universe twice and they still have to serve under some rat? Any

And unfortunately, all Sora talked about was getting home to the islands. There are always going to be heartless, so there couldn’t possibly be any room for peace for the kid. He wields the Keyblade, which everyone wants, and there is no rest for the poor youth. (Good thing that in anime you grow a foot and a half when you hit 13 or 14) People are going to come from everywhere just to fight him in an attempt to prove themselves, or just to get him to come over to their side. Maybe some food would prove better than fighting.

One of the benefits of having the game come out on the PS3 is the opportunity to fight in HighDef with 5.1 Surround Sound as loud as it can go. I look forward to being able to play in these conditions, provided I don’t blow up the speakers in the process.
