Kingdom Hearts 3 Theories
I have viewed most of the Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix+ material that can be found on here, seeing as I have not managed to lay my hands on a genuine copy for myself. I have played through Kingdom Hearts 2 since I got it on March 28th, 2006, and have beaten it within a couple of days on Proud Mode. I unlocked the secret trailer, and became one of the first to view it.
I began to understand the story and how everything came to play in the story a lot earlier than most of my friends, and quickly became the Kingdom Hearts Guru where I was known. That’s total rubbish, but I’d like to believe I was!
Anyways, I thought I had seen all there was for me to see, and quickly pushed all other attempts aside to learn more. Unfortunately, I didn’t take Final Mix into account, because I had come to understand that it would contain no new content at all, let alone the surprising additional cut scenes and “Part 2″ of the secret ending. After surveying the content on kingdomhearts3.net, I have made it another chore to understand the story some more, and maybe piece together what is to be expected in Kingdom Hearts 3. So, if you don’t want any spoilers at all, then I dont know why you clicked on this at all, but please leave now, as I will basically be spilling the general story line, as I know it, to Kingdom Hearts 3.
Now I am going to cover what we know already. From what we have witnessed in the secret trailer, and which is the only leads we can have so far to KH3, is what we all know so far to be the “Keyblade War”. We have seen the three Knights and we have seen the mysterious bald dude, with his “heartless” like counterpart engage in battle. We have viewed the keyblades scattered across a barren wasteland, and we have seen “Birth by Sleep”. Also, some of the subjects in Kingdom Hearts 2 have become very interesting and may play an important part in Kingdom Hearts 3, just as Kingdom Hearts did for Kingdom Hearts 2. Some of these factors are the “Room of Sleep”, mentioned in one of the cutscenes from Final Mix, and Xemnas, the leader of Organization XIII, connection with that room. From the cutscenes, it has been told that the “Room of Sleep” is infact, in the depths of the Lab where Ansem the Great created the majority of his experiments. It has been come to known that Xemnas would occasionally wander to the Room of Sleep and perhaps “Sleep”. He has also been caught talking to someone else within the Room of Sleep, when it is clear that he was the only one to enter into the room, so there is obviously someone totally unknown to the other members of the Organization who communicates with Xemnas, leaving his intentions to lie somewhere other than the unification of the Organization XIII. Also, the beginning to Kingdom Hearts 2, that sums up Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories in a trailer also plays an important part that I had just begun to piece into the theory today.
Now I will start to place in updates what I believe is the story of Kingdom Hearts 3. Remember, this is only a theory, and does not mean what I say is written in stone. Anything can happen in Kingdom Hearts 3 and can simply and totally disprove my theory, because we just don’t know for sure yet. I will in bullet form, continue to make updates on this page once I discover them, and edit or delete any previous ones in case any dead on predictions I make totally contradict another prediction. I hope you enjoy this, and take my ideas into consideration. If you have an opinion, find something that doesnt make sense, or just want to correct me on my facts; then please by all means comment. The more I know, The more you will know.
More Theories on KH3:
- I believe the old man in the Final Mix secret ending, is in fact Xehanhort (Ansem). This being based on how he is wearing exactly what Ansem wears, plus he has distinguishable deep, yellow/orange eyes (Ansem’s most famous feature.)
- The reason why he is older looking is because the Door to the Light has withered away most of his power.
- The Room of Sleep and the Room of Awakening are connected.
- Xemnas uses the Room of Sleep to restore power to Xehanhort (Ansem) and “awaken” him.
- Time Travel is in play, seeing as the Room of Awakening is somewhere during the era of the Keyblade War.
- Xehanhort is the general cause of the Keyblade War.
- Xehanhort is seeking the Master of the keyblade, needing it in order to open something.
- The Chasers, I believe, are the new form of enemies in the game.
- The Knight that gets frozen is in fact Roxas, but in a different time line.
- Roxas in the alternate time line goes by the name of Ven, and has no other recollection of who he truly is.
- The Enigmatic Soldier mentions “Aqua…Ven…” before he battles Sora, leading me to believe Roxas’ name to be Ven.
- Aqua is the blue haired female knight shown in the Final Mix Trailer.
- The Enigmatic soldier is still unknown, but is surely not Sora.
- In the Room of Sleep cutscene in Final Mix, there is armor lying in front of Xemnas as he enters into the Room of Sleep. Upon further inspection, the armor is Roxas’.
- Roxas might also have a connection between the two rooms, and it could be possible to how he would’ve gotten into the Keyblade War.

well thats a good thought but my thought might be a lil different well I’ve herd the names of the 3 knights which are called chasers are aqua,ven,and terra aqua being the female ven being the warrior frozen by who i think is ansem and the last and oldest warrior is terra, this has bin stated by the creator the game Tetsuya Nomura, ok and well it hasn’t bin said if that is ansem or not i can only think that the warrior next to him is riku because if you remember in the series riku was under the control of darkness and wore the same suit while in that form. now from what ive herd it might be set in the future or the past which i have no idea about and also isnt xemnes and xehanort the same person along with ansem?

(to the guy below me)well as his reincarnation, that might happen. nomura did say that they were brand new characters and being reincarnated your are basically the same person. just a new body in a different time so maybe.
anyway, terra or the brown haired guy you referred to, could have a relation to xemnas as you see in “the gathering”, he is standing on xemnas’s dragon which could usually only be called by xemnas. and yes they do look alike but as nomura said, they are brand new characters so no it is probly not xehanort. but that does not mean they are not connected. here is something i heard somewhere else. and after reading many many facts on this site, and then reading the thing i am about to type, everything might be a little clearer.
as many of you know, “Terra” means earth, “Ven means wind, “Aqua” means water. the names of the soldiers and then “Riku” means land, “Sora” means sky, and “Kairi” means sea. now all of you know this already and that they would pass down there blades(if they did). now for the ones who saw the enigmatic soldier fight translated, Terra did pass down his blade to Riku but then sora got it(since riku was in darkness)and then he mistakes him for xehanort. and after that he says “I see. Your strength is… What i sensed in you is…” then he disappears.
here are some more things i read. the old guy wears the same outfit as ansem(heartless)in the first kh.
and his “double”(as i will refer to him right now)is wearing an outfit that strikingly looks like the outfit riku wears in the first and in Re:CoM.
so maybe, as you can see that the old guy has connections to alot of characters. now what i said before, sora got terra’s blade. then that would mean that maybe passing down the blades got mixed up(if they did i said IF). then ven sent to riku and aqua sent it to mickey. why not kairi, because it was the kings blade there, not hers.
the whole thing about passing down keyblades is probly wrong(or at least i think they are). they could of passed them down a long time ago and then the keyblade just took whatever suited the best person. like it said in kh1, the KEYBLADE chooses its master, not the person.

Roxaslives: Terra is not Xehanort. Nomura has said that the knights are completely new characters. Ven is not Roxas for the same exact reason. Why do you keep on believing that he is Roxas? Aqua is completely new too.

could it be possible that the guy with brown hair at the end is somehow xehanort but xehanort is this brown haired guys reincarnation? cos he has deep yellow eyes… maybe somehow he and the old guy are connected cos they both have yellow eyes? cos at the beginning they said that keyblade could bring light or destruction, so maybe the brown haired guy is xemnas’s light side and the old guy is withered by the dark side of xemnas if you get my meaning? thats my new theory. OR! the brown haired bloke might be xemnas, and the old dude might be his dad? thus relation?
also, i don’t think mickey can age can he? so it this could be set a while back, becuase he dosent have the kingdom key, he has like master yen sid’s training keyblade or something like that so i’ve heard.
i still believe that ven or whatever is roxas/sora. it would make sense.
no idea who the girl could be now though. maybe kairi cos she could wield a keyblade in kingdom hearts 2 so maybe? but i dunno.

i believe that the old man in birth by sleep is without a doubt connected to xehanort. cuz if you saw the scene where xemnas sits down in the chair in the room at that one place(cant remember what its called). you see ven’s armor and he looks at it and says “It’s been a long time my friend.” and you see ansem in the first kh wearing the same clothes as the old man and the ability to use a keyblade(through riku). so that would possibly mean that when xehanort turned into a heartless and nobody, the memories ansem the wise thought were lost came back(and abilities). and only his heartless could hold a keyblade when he gained a body which he did through riku. and it is obvious the old man did something that pissed of the armoured knights.

JOSH READ THE ANSEM REPORTS IN KH2 IT MENTIONS THAT WHEN SORA BECAME A HEARTLES WHEN KAIRI GETS HER HEART BACK MEANING SHE LOST HER HEART SO A NOBODY WAS CREATED READ ON AND YOULL SEE KAIRIS HEART WAS PURE LIGHT SO SHE COULDNT ACTUALLY BECOME A HEARTLESS THATS WHY SHE WENT DORMAINT IN KH1

I was just thinking tht with all these characters tht are all intertwined with the storyline of kingdom hearts tht mayb some are nt just fighters for good such as Sora, mayb sum of them have a job or are required to do something tht will help thm win.

hold on a sec. i dont think namine is kairi’s nobody. seeing how kairi kept her body and the fact that namine has only memories of sora and not kairi’s. so that means either kairi has a heartless we dont no about or namine might be a heartless that kept her body like how ansem did

Just want to tell some things I’ve heard from a friend that Sora is still the mane character and in the movie(secret ending)it isn’t Roxas who falls from the mountain.Roxas will only be seen in KH III ‘Keyblade War’ as a flashback.So Roxas’ and Namine’s part is over for the KH series.And also KH III will be about the “lost two”.So Sora isn’t anymore the good or the bad guy.So I think there be also a new good and bad characters.Only he doesn’t know who the E.S.(Enigmatic Soldier)is.

Well also don’t forget that at the end of the trailer mickey comes and sees the vortex thing so I think the it happens in current day but on the cross roads where it splits into four directions at the end of KH1.
It looks like some how the keyblades were somehow disguised as grass so no one will know that some people will need them to stop the keyblade war.
Also, I might be completly wrong and this could be happening in some other demenision because although you see Mickey that doesn’t mean that it is Mickey. don’t forget Mickeys past is very covered up so he could have turned into a heartless but then turned back to normal like Sora did.

I no Ven is Roxas and I think that Aqua is a nobody of a character that we know nothing about. Then I belivie that the nobody with the brownish hair is Riku’s nobody because in the first game he turned into a heartsless so he must have a nobody too and I think that is him…

the third warrior I believe, is squall. why, I don’t know. but if you pause the vid before his eyes go all yellow, it looks just like him, except with his hair pulled back on the top.

(My awesome theory is still in modification. *sigh* But here’s something else that bugs me.)
In KH2 there’s the part where you fight Roxas in the World That Never Was and in this fight Roxas says, “Why did he choose you?” and then they fight some more then he says, “I see, that’s why.”
I want to know: Who did the choosing and how does Roxas know that this person choose Sora?
Anybody know or have a guess?

Heres what I think is gunna happen.
The letter sent by Mickey is gunna be explaining about the choas of the keyblade and it has awaken Xemnas or Xehanort or his older form (shown in Final Mix)
The Chasers I think are Sora, Riku and Kiari, but they are in a different timeline or their nobodys. Ie. Roxas, Namine…. and Sora Riku and Kiari are just reincarnations of the Chasers or their nobodies (if that makes sense)
Soras and Riku and Kiari then set off on a journey to discover the “dark” side of the keyblade, and to find out what happened with Xemnas and Ansem etc.

So does any body know wat it says or has Tetsuya Nomura said anything about it? please reply casue i am really anxious to know about it.

i wanted to get your opinion on this too. do u think that even though i hear kh3 is gonna b for ps3 that they might make a ps2 version too for it. it would probably make millions of people mad if they didnt do something to improvise with a lot of people like me who cant afford a ps3 for $600 that doesnt even have a ton of games out for it yet
