Final Fantasy Versus XIII Not So Delayed After All?
In usual backpedaling fashion, Eurogamer has received word from the horse’s mouth (Square-Enix) that FFVersusXIII is not being delayed after all. The big SE confirmed that at some points throughout development, some workers have been pushed to work on Final Fantasy XIII “in their free time”, but that this will not have any profound effect on the development schedule of FFVersusXIII.
This directly contradicts translated statements from Mr. Nomura himself. Truth be told, nobody is really sure whether the rumor smash is just Square’s PR department buttering things up. We will do our best to keep you all posted on any further accounts.

I absolutely love Kairi. She is just ‘wow’ amazing. Plus she’s the perfect girl for Sora too I might add, not to mention stunning. Ever since I played Kh1 and Kh2 she has been one of my favorite characters, other than Sora, Riku and Roxas of course.

I guess my fav bad guy would be xehanort. Also to Key of Reason, just because I happen to like to like female characters from a game as well as the main characters, doesn’t mean its a bad thing. Plenty of people are interesed in male and female characters, but know they can’t have them (for obvious reasons) and the way I look at it is no different than going after celebrities for a hookup or date. On another note, Sora is lucky to have Kairi all in all, truth be told. (unless some people here are a fan of yaoi and if so I would really not want to get into that ball park of who Sora likes more.)

I was talking about Riku. I made a typo and should have said the Riku/Sora pairing instead. I’ve seen and read of hundreds of forums that have had that kind of thing tied right into convos about Kairi and Sora and I of course didn’t want to offend people who are fans of Riku and Sora liking each other. (although it is a little hard to do without insulting people who are fans of the Sora/Kairi pairing)

To everyone who was agreeing with me on what I said to riku and his mom,
your support knows no bounds. (exdeath64) I suggested Bambi since it was one of those things my gym teacher talked to my buds and I about respect for our neighbour and all. Also to the rest of you guys, even if these guys do get away with some stuff, its like what Thanatos98 and KHobsessive said, eventually they’ll get their ‘just desserts’. I’ve listened to them a few times. It’s so so with me and that particular band so I’d just say it’s not one of my favourites, but it’s not on my crossed off list and trust me for a band to get on my crossed off list is huge (they’d just have to be flat out terrible in my view.)

Bleh! I hate all the Kingdom hearts sites now! (not really)All the forums are filled with noobs and their theories about Terra being master Xehanort and the keyblade war. They are all excited because they think Terra is Master Xehanort and they’re all confused about the “Lost Two” and the Dark Soldier. I had a good story for myself based entirely on true facts, but thanks to them, all my ideas are messed up and now i don’t know whats what. In the immortal words of Bart Simpson, “Don’t have a cow man!!” It’s just random people Final Form Sora with different theories as all. They have a right to an opinion. I won’t justify saying that they’re right about Terra being Master Xehanort, but of course it’s just an idea. If it weren’t for that eye transformation in the secret vid of KH 2 Final Mix ppl would have never made that connection in the first place. Besides I’m making a story myself loosely based on the idea of KH BBS (that and I was basing it on my parents too of course). In fact I’m pretty much all, but done it. So if I can keep going despite these random comments on Terra/Master Xehanort, I’m sure you could do the same as well with your story if you wanted to.

I can no longer update this site btw, but here’s the big news.
Firstly, 358/2 Days will be the first of the three new games to be released, as there was a small ad in the “Dragon Quest V” box saying it would be coming in 2008. Predictions are that it won’t be released until around Christmas.
Secondly, the 358/2 Days official site has now been launched at square-enix.co.jp/kingdom/days/
The story known so far from Tomogirl:
‘It explains Roxas and Axel spending time up on the Twilight Town clock tower eating sea-salt ice cream. Then, it goes into how their afternoon is lazy. I can also get the part of “Roxas taking a glance at Axel” which matches with the picture of him smiling at a not pictured Axel. The ending portion briefly says the interference that concerns “Organization XIII’s Roxas” and “the birth of the 14th member”.’

DragoonKain kind of took over from me in a roundabout way - He’s the head honcho on the forums, but as far as Kingdom Hearts news is concerned, he’ll be posting very rarely. He prefers the Final Fantasy news in general, which is why he’s posted about FFXIII.
Kain isn’t running the site though - Nor did I. Sora (of course) is the guy that owns and runs this site, but he left it to about 4 of us to update on our own, and I was the only one posting anything.

A new Finisher Attack Technique called “Lock Shock System” appears. More Screenshots of Ven and Terra without dialogue. The release date is still TBA.
358/2 Days:
There is a screenshot of Axel saying “How many times do I bring them back?” (He is talking about one person but the gender is unknown.) There is a screenshot of Naminé saying “Surely she is unable to endure it.” The members of Organization XIII are assigned missions. The release date is 2008 (not too specific).

no. its not. During E3, Microsoft landed a huge blow on Sony when they anounced FFXIII coming out on the 360. They had pretty much said that the Microsoft Press Confrence was over when they said that they had one last anouncement (that they supposedly almost forgot)and they showed the trailer for FFXII on the 360. Microsoft had asked all the cameras to zoom way out and not show the screen close up like all the other trailers. Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo have this rivalry and with the FFXIII thing, they got a good edge on the competitors. They made it pretty clear that the Final Fantasy Franchise was moving to the 360 and not anything else. sorry if you were hoping for the Wii. Who knows what Nintendo has in store for us next year and this year to come.

i think terra is kind of the brut strength fighter kind of like valor and his fighting sylel is like well how can i say it he swings slow but he hits very hard
then ven is the speed one and he kind of fights like master form if u see the first vid from khfmx+ most of the time ven is fighting in the air

It’s not rumour that Xion could be the 14th Member, but fact that Xion IS the 14th Member.
As Xion is the 14th Member, that means the original person the nobody came from has to be one of:
- Ino
- Ion
- Nio
- Noi
- Oin
- Oni
Personally, I believe (and, for that matter, hope) that it would be Oni, partially because it’s a real name from Japan, and partially because it’s the coolest name there.

Well,
I’ve been sitting on purchasing a PS3 based on FF and KH. Seeing as FFXIII is now being ported to the 360, I’m getting less convinced about purchasing the PS3. The only other two titles that have me moderately interested me are Disgaea 3 and Kingdom Heaerts III. But, seeing as Disgaea 3 is pretty much the same as the first two games, that leaves KH3 as the only decisive factor.
If Kingdom Hearts III ends up being ported to the 360, I’m not wasting my money on the PS3, I’ll go buy a cheaper system and endure the alleged performance downfall.

I really wish that they would just send khIII to the ps2 I mean wouldn’t that be the smarter thing to do anyway theres like 10 freakin people in the world who actually own a ps3 and most of them probably got em for the new racing crap so if they want to keep the kingdom hearts series going they might as well just send it to the ps2

Tabata: It’s not as simple as that.
Nomura: When you advance to the next stage, a movie event is shown. I think the beginning of the latest trailer reflected it, the lines “A forbidden secret――” are connected to it. Though it is on the mobile phone, it’s not to be taken lightly. The contents of it’s story draw near to the conviction of the series.
—Are it’s contents connected to the future of the Kingdom Hearts series?
Nomura: That’s right. It’s in a position similar to how Chain of Memories was. I think if you can play it, you’ll recognize it draws upon the mysteries of the entire series.
—What kind of story will it become?
Nomura: “Their torment has been lessened” is the foundation of the story, and the “forbidden secret” is connected to it.
—Being made from the data of Jiminy’s Journal, will it relive the first Kingdom Hearts?
Nomura: Even though it advances according to the story of Kingdom Hearts, the stages are different and each one slowly approaches the “forbidden secret”. Why did someone leave a message in the Jiminy Journal? The story will solve this mystery.
—Is there a connection to 358/2 Days and Birth by Sleep?
Nomura: Yes, they link in various ways.
—The arrow commands were revealed publicly, it seems the game could be played with only one hand?
Tabata: Now one can enjoy Kingdom Hearts quality gaming with the input buttons of their mobile phone, this will lead to other elements.
Nomura: Since the contents of mobile phone software has become outstanding, please anticipate this game.
358/2 DAYS INTERVIEW
—This time the trailer revealed the name and voice of the 14th member!
Nomura: The timing of revealing her voice to the public was a mistake. (Smiles) In fact, it was not intended to be released. It’s because her voice becomes a hint.
—Riku has officially seen the face of Xion, did he recognize it?
Nomura: Seems so, doesn’t it? Roxas is the hero this time, Sora doesn’t have any active involvement with the Disney characters. But for example, look at Belle and the Beast, they’re interested in discovering what love is; the players will learn about the character’s hearts. Roxas learns various things from the Disney characters and before long he becomes doubtful of the Organization.
—Axel yells at Xion, “I’ll bring you back no matter how many times it takes”, but why does the word “you” refer to multiple people?
Nomura: That’s still a secret as well. But Axel’s determination here of “bring you back no matter how many times it takes” is connected to when he said he would bring Roxas back in Kingdom Hearts II.
—The keyword “memory” also appears, but what in regards to this?
Nomura: The catch copy* of this game is “I can’t remember, something important”. Though in the original Kingdom Hearts the concept was to “illustrate the heart”. In regards to the relationship between one’s heart and one’s memory, it is intimate. In this game the main characters are nobodies who don’t have hearts, therefore the theme of memories is featured.
*A ‘catch copy’ is in copywriting, large text that appears in ads or brochures to catch the reader’s attention.
BIRTH BY SLEEP INTERVIEW
—In the recent trailer, their are lines alluding to Master Xehanort aiming for those with hearts of pure light. Is Master Xehanort’s goal also to take over the world?
Nomura: It certainly indicates what he’s interested in, but that’s the first of Master Xehanort’s intentions.
—The story follows the viewpoints of the three characters individually, but what happens when the three characters interact together?
Nomura: The three characters will start out together, and then afterwards each of their stories will begin respectively. Within the story, the main characters may encounter one another. The three share the main goal of chasing after Master Xehanort who has disappeared, though each character’s exact goal is subtly different.
—As for original masters, they who teach the methods of wielding the keyblade to their pupils, do they exist?
Nomura: Not just that, but also the role of keyblade users, since the thoughts of each master differs, it’s their spirit being taught. The reason why a master must train others to use the keyblade is explained in this game.
—The voice of Snow White is very quiet.
Nomura: Actually, we choice a voice that matched the old version of “Snow White” that was released in Japan (1950), so it’s the original one, so to speak.
About the Birth by Sleep Battle System
—The changes to the style of battling are an interesting idea.
Nomura: Some players might have wanted a change in strategy. Initially, the player was free to rearrange the commands, as proposed by the team in Osaka, now such a form has been expanded upon. They said, “We want a system different than the form changes of Kingdom Hearts II”.
—How about the Shoot Lock System?
Nomura: I asked, “is it difficult to implement?” when the system was being worked on, it was also written into the first planning stages. But for Birth by Sleep, there is still a lot hidden within the system.
—What of the enemies called “unbirths”?
Nomura: There is meaning in various ways, adding “un” creates the opposite meaning of “birth” thus the “unbirth”. With this, the “unborn” is given real meaning. Unbirths designate the feeling of this game’s motif. The kind of existence they have will be revealed soon.
—During a battle, there are various circumstances indicating commands.
Nomura: It’s the developed system of the ‘reaction command’. At first, the Birth by Sleep system was designed to be closer to the original series, but it has evolved a lot. Because it is considerably high speed, the first time players may be a bit surprised.
—Even the boss battles have been elaborated compared to the previous ones.
Nomura: The Osaka team has a lot of affection for the enemies. It was handed over to the staff and they were asked to please try it out. They were watched over as they played it. When the player had to be more offensive, they said things like, “It’s different! I really can be more of a kid!!” or “Ah, it’s strange…” (Smiles)
—Their affection is contagious. (Smiles)
Nomura: Anyways, I think that the testing of various things for the battle system is being finished.
