Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
Part of the new installements of the Kingdom Hearts series, the untold story of Roxas while Sora was asleep, the game focuses on the daily life of the Organization 13 Main headquarters (Xemnas, Xighbar, Saix, Demyx, Xaldin, Axel and Roxas) and how was Roxas of that time, the game its after Kingdom Hearts Chain Of Memories, thats why some gamers had call the game “Kingdom Hearts Chain Of Memories 2″ since is coming for the DS too. The title “358/2″ will explain itself once you had beat the game. The story is about how long Roxas stayed on Organization 13. As well as his battle with Riku in the secret ending “Deep Dive” of Kingdom Hearts 1.
Trailer Descryption:
We are introduced with the scene where Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories had came to an end, and are then confronted with the phrase “The other side attached to Sora still sleeps”, along with “The mind comes back whenever they touch.”
The video then focuses upon Roxas and Axel, sitting atop the clock tower in Twilight Town. This seems to be the same scene from Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+. Soon after, the video shows Roxas being invited into Organization XIII. He is being greeted by all, and introduces himself, and they do the same to him. Then the scene fades into Roxas actually joining the Organization.
Following this is a short clip of Mickey talking about Axel, and Saix near Roxas. Roxas is shown pulling out both of his keyblades, and it moves into gameplay. The gameplay confirms indifenatley that you may play with Roxas, Axel, Saix and Xigbar.
Xemnas then mentions something very interesting. He explains that a 14th member has joined their Organization, and that this member is female. This scene is quickly followed by the title of the game: “Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days” and a whsipering Roxas saying “I will disappear from this world in 151 days”

According to an inteview I read on IGN you’ll be able to play as every character of ORG13. Witch means I’ll be throwing down as Marluxia or Zexion.

Birth by Sleep, ask yourself, when was Roxas born? When Sora slept. Think about it, it’s not a spell or phrase, it’s Roxas’ birth. And 358/2 days, it is based when Roxas entered the Organization, and when he quitted too, and this DS game is occuring in Sora’s slumber, I mean, something had to happen when he slept. So what I don’t understand is why it is called 358/2 days instead of birth by sleep, well, because, the DS game is more based on Roxas entering and quitting the Organization, not in his birth. So another question is, why is the PSP game called Birth by Sleep? What I think, is that Terra, Aqua and Ven were somehow in charge of preventing Roxas from entering the Organization. Now, remember in the Secret Ending? Tetsuya Nomura mentioned Keyblade Wars, Keyblade Master and other phrases, then it said “it all began with… Birth by Sleep”, and if Birth by Sleep is a videogame, and it happened before the Keyblade Wars and the other stuff, then Tetsuya Nomura may have given the names of the upcoming KINGDOM HEARTS GAMES!!!

I think I read some where that the 358/2 days thing was because sora was asleep for a year which is 365 days and when you subtract 7 from 365, it’s 358, and you play with Roxas for 7 days. I have no idea with the 2 stands for though. Thats kinda a weird title for a game but whatever, it still sounds awesome!

Diego Gonzalez-keyblade master: Roxas was not born while Sora slept. Roxas was born when when Kairi turned Sora from a heartless to a human. It is in the Secret Ansem Reports in Kingdom Hearts 2.

I only have Chain of Memories but I’ve seen all KH 1 AND 2 clips on YouTube. Do youthink people will get what’s goin on in KH3 if all of these new games are for different game systems??? Well, indeed this is a BIG mystery. Roxas was born when Sora turned into a heartless, trying to save Kairi. Namine was borned too. But what troubles me is what happened to Roxas after that, and before KH:COM. Axel did say something about Roxas. I wonder if my mobile (Nokia N93 DX) can be used as a gaming for KH:Coded. ;-; Guess I have to save up for DS AND the games. O_O YAY I hope we can play as different characters. I want to try play as Demyx or Axel, and Zexion, and Marluxia, and Xigbar, and Xaldin, and EVERYONE ELSE.

say you didnt have a phone or a PSP but only had a DS, u could simply buy the game, and if your friend has a PSP or decent phone, you can simply ask them if you could borrow it fot a bit. where as you can still play 358/2 days.
you dont have to go crazy over buying the other consoles unless you really have a lust for experience of the new games. i only have a DS and wii, but its the story im mainly interested in so ill just read up about what goes on once the game has been out for about a month.
but it still sounds like its gonna b worth the wait.

I heard the rumor, probably like all of you guys, that the “3rd” kingdom hearts, if you will, is going to be on ps3. Unfortunately, I only have a ps2, but I love these games and the passion in them so much that I think I’ll probly get a ps3 just because of this…Do you guys think I should or not? I have an Axel figurine also got it at some store in Temecula.
Oh it is about time they did a side story on dealing with organization XIII. I was going to email them about doing an fighting game, but this might be promising. As it is sweet that I do own an DS. Graphics on an DS are good in my opinion it beats having an GBA.
I heard that there is a traitor in the organization in this game, but not really sure. I bet with this new female they are probably going to try to make her extra powerful and cheap to beat. I hope not.
Xaldin was a pain to beat in KH2 and frusterating, but so was Demyx. That sitar whacking does not help and you lose much health if you miss the command and the dang water geyers are hard to avoid. Axel is hard on expert mode and doesn’t really give you a chance to heal yourself.
If it is true that it says you can play as any organizaiton character (even ones that were destroyed in COM) then with Zexion people forget that he not only traps people in books and do spells, but also can morph into people and use their abilities. Just a possibility. Xenmas has those life savors weapons and nothingness power, since he is the leader he might be extra powerful wouldn’t make since otherwise.

Coded doesn’t really get me going that much I mainly want Birth by Sleep and 358/2. I really am looking forward to playing as someone different besides Sora. I think if there is a KH3 and if you play as Sora. It should be Rated T since more teens play it more than 12 and below. And you should be able to be able to pick Sora side. Meaning there are some things in the game where you can make Sora good or evil. Like Star Wars Knights of the old Republic and Fable.

358/2 days is set just after chain of memories, so i don’t think we will get to play as marluxia, vexen, larxene, lexeaus or zexion since they are dead after chain of memories. but then again we might be able to play as them since nomura mentioned about zexion absorbing enemies hp, and how lexeaus was going to be slower but stronger than other members.
so i duno…
and xaldin is not a easy person to beat. have you ever tried him on proud mode!? its like a mouse trying to destroy the empire state building.

All kingdom hearts games should be made for the ps3, imo. Though the DS’s… less than adequate graphics actually look pretty good.

As stated before You can play as any organization member character. I don’t know about the 14th member though.
Thoses screen shots of four members are 4 characters hooked up to mutiplayer DS system as advertising.
Besides from youtube it shows a cutscene of the members and you can see some of the ones that are supposed to be dead, but that can be before the chain of events of the betrayal of them.
What! Wait a minute? Where was there even mention of Marulxia being a girl was supposed to be a guy? Dang where do people get this kind of information? …. Or info of even Lexaesus being the slowest though it makes sense.
I don’t think they should take Zexion’s book away from him. It is like stripping a weapon that symbolizes or indentifies the member. How degrading.

That is really interesting, but I don’t see how that was possible unless Xemnas himself changed the gender when Marulxia became a nobody. Just a speculation on that as they were all creations.
1-6’s job was get more members. Zigbar was supposed to find number 11, but he told Zexion he gave his mission to Lexeaus due to being lazy. Perhaps Lexeaus could of screwed up somehow?

People I have BIG news!!! What you are about to read is not a lie! I was searching Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+ and I found this:
According to the pages of US video game magazine EGM, Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix, once thought to be a Japanese only release, is to get a North American release.
Final Mix offers a revamped version of Kingdom Hearts II, plus a full 3D remake of the GBA sequel/spin-off Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. This remake has been dubbed re:Chain of Memories and, together with a significant visual overhaul, will benefit from a number of gameplay tweaks.
There’s no official release date or any official confirmation of the game’s release in North America. Should the rumour be true and the game does get released in North America, then there’s a good chance we’ll also be seeing it across Europe.

Yes, thanks for finding out information from the EMG magazine because I couldn’t open the plastic bag in it unless I wanted to chance getting fired at my job. It sounds like the guy at gamestop knew what he was talking about. He said they were releasing it next year Next time I am there I am going to try to see if I can reserve it. That way I will find out when they are going to be released.
So what did it say about the Kingdom Hearts COM changes? Are they going to get rid of the cards? I hope they don’t because there would go all the Axels cutscenes and I would hate them for it.

What I believe is that the voices will be in Japanesse but everything else is in English. With the new Kingdom Hearts 2 with the new form and all of the new keyblades and etc…will be in english the new scenes will have the enlgish subtitles but you won’t here anyone talk basically they are mute. I went on youtube and did Sora VS Vexen and I found out that you can make your own battles who you want on your team and any kind of song you want ex: In the End-Linkin Park. It was awsome. You can do the same with Kingdom Hearts 2 but I haven’t found out how you do it but it is cool! There have been several magazines saying it will be released in America such as gamePro and Animerica. Not only gamestop’s electronic store. What part of the game in KH II are the gravestones? I need this to try to confirm something.
Why would they try to drill in the mind of Axel and Roxas? It is almost an obession and creepy…. anything it is unfair that they have Axel interact with and talk with almost every organization members- 1,3,4,6,7,11,12, and 13. Why is that? What about Demyx? 8 and number 9 correspond. Polar opposites, but still no converstation among them. You would think there would be.
However, Square-Enix in KH II decide to give Axel and Demyx similar fighting styles including flying through the screen with their elements not to mention they are the only organization members you fight twice in the game. This is what I don’t understand. Why give characters similar fighting patterns, but no speaking parts?

Hey Organization fan, I doubt they could be all that old. The Nobodies themselves (The members of Org anyway) I would doubt are older than 20/30.
Ansem/Diz doesn’t seem to be much older than 40 or so From what I could tell of the reports, Ansems team became the nobodies/org, and that was within Ansems lifetime. Axel on the other hand. . . I don’t even know where he came from. I get the feeling he wasn’t one of Ansems’ colleagues.

Interesting facts, but where did you get the information about their ages? I must ask.
I do know that the two ’senior members’ (reference to the graphic novel and Kingdom Hearts COM game. The oldest ones are Lexaeus and Vexen. Vexen to me looks like he may be in his late 30’s or even 40s.
Keep in mind that I have looked at the offical Kingdom Hearts book and the organization members are all in their respective number order when they joined.
Ansem’s colleagues are 1-6
1 Xemnas, 2 Xigbar, 3 Xaldin, 4 Vexen, 5 Lexaeus, and 6 Zexion.
Xemnas as Ansem’s apprentice went ahead and created 7-13
7 Saix, 8 Axel, 9 Demyx, 10 Luxord, 11 Marxula, 12 Larxene, 13 Roxas, and probably supposely the 14th member.

i made a very vague but lucid theory on the XIV member. we already know that she is a girl. what if she was the nobody of aqua. maybe at some point at the end of birth by sleep, aqua somehow lost her heart. which would also mean that she has a heartless as well. maybe xemnas recruited the nobody of aqua. that would explain why he has aqua’s armor in his hidden chamber and he calls it old friend. this would be more valid if xehanort was the character that the birth by sleep characters are related to. maybe xemnas somehow obtained xehanorts lost memory and that the main antagonist for kh3 has already been revealed.

I know that they are polar opposites, but still you would think because of their rival elements they would even exchange a few words.

Nage, sorry, but it isn’t coming out this year. Considering they’re showing it off for the first time during the Jump thing (Dec. 23rd and 24th), I don’t think it’d come out till next spring at earliest. Then give a few more months for it to be translated and brought stateside. Americans, and especially Europeans, still have awhile to get this game.

I was just thinking that he should interact with Demyx since he has the element of fire and Demyx the element of water. I hope he does speak to Demyx in this game. There are alot of fans who like them. Why shouldn’t they? It would be disappointing to some fans if they don’t speak or even interact.
Almost every other game that includes characters who have the power of fire and water are against each other or are rivals,few are friends. So hint the idea if you have connections.

Nage: Some people say that the Dark knight is one the Chasers like Terra, Aqua, and Ven, thus making a 4th Chaser. However I disagree with that. The Dark Knight is Master Xehanort’s apprentice. Jump Festa 2008 has officially kicked off and the first bits of information regarding the presence of Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, Birth By Sleep & Coded have trickled in.
KINGDOM HEARTS: 358/2 DAYS
Playable Demo Report
• Roxas, Axel, Xigbar or Saix are all playable in a Twilight Town based mission
• Each playable character differs, Axel can use his fire attacks etc.
• Enemies in the demo included Small Wizards, Shadows & a Fat Body.
• After exploring the stage, you have to defeat a familiar boss, a Dark Side.
• Upon mission completion, the user can view statistics on how they did.
• Game has a planned release date of Q2/Summer 2008
Each forthcoming game also has a new trailer being screened behind closed doors at the event. Firstly, the 358/2 Days trailer features the still-secret Organization member, XIII, helping Roxas & Axel after being surpised by Heartless. Also, King Mickey (in Organization attire) is shown looking towards the Twilight Town forest. Lastly, there is brief scene of Roxas with Aladdin & Jasmine in Agrabah.

in CoM there was one female Organization member, Larxene. In CoM, they only call it the “Organization” not “Organization XIII” so isnt it possible that at that time, Larxene was the 14th member? and shes also the only female member ever to join the Organization, and we never see her in KH2 because she was defeated by Sora in CoM. so yeah thats my theory lol.

The 14th member should have the power to control metals. Just trying to think of elements not used yet. Something is telling me she might have the power to control darkness. As Roxas controls light.
Nomura also said that it is the darkest game.
DS cost in America $129, but it is better than an used one. Sure you can probably find them on ebay for lesser, but buyer beware….

I must admit i look at the screen shots they dont look that great, but im probably gona buy a DS to play it, since i got a SD to play Chain of Memories, and that looks Retro compared to this lol
Still i think the story will be promissing, will be usefull to know what we missed while Sora was a sleep for one year
But Birth By Sleep is the main bomb, cant wait for that to come out!

ashez: Well you don’t a DS to play chain of memories all you need is GBA, but chain of memories will run on a DS, I think. If you’re looking to get this game though and are about to buy a gameboy and chain of memories go ahead and get the DS. As for your second question, yes Namine is Kairi’s nobody.

However, from Organization XIII I have seen Axel, Demyx, and Roxas plushies around. They may have other members, but I haven’t seen them at all.
