Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep
The new installement of the Kingdom Hearts series for the PSP, explaining the deep past of Kingdom Hearts, we are introduced by 3 characters, Ven, Terra and Aqua, Ven has a relation with Sora, Ven means air, as Sora means wind, which are the same; Aqua means water, and Kairi means ocean, which leads the same to water; Terra means earth, as Riku has some relation with earth. The major playable character is Terra, seen in the scans. In the game, the world Hollow Bastion or better known as Radiant Garden will explain himself more. Disney characters will make an appereance here as well. The old man is an older version of Xehanort, the game itslef will show the gamers the Real Keyblade Master, as Tetsuya Nomura (Director) well explained on his interview.
Trailer Descryption:
Scenes of the ending of Kingdom Hearts 1 flash by on the screen, and two phrases are seen clearly onscreen. One reads “Deep Past” and the other “Shut-Eyes gives birth to the concealed fate.”
We are then confronted by a young boy who looks like Roxas conversing with another young boy with black hair. Their surroundings seem to resemble Hallow Bastion (Radiant Garden). The name “Ven” is thrown outward, referring to the boy who looks like Roxas.
The scene change various times before stopping at an iamge of the Old Man from the KH2FM+ secret ending. He is called “Master Xehanort” by Terra. Soon after, Terra summons his keyblade and the screen chandes.
Various worlds are shown, and one of which is familiar to us all. “Olympus Colliseum” is making another comeback, followed by a brand new world, that of which resembles Sleeping Beauty.
The video then changes back to Terra battling against a dark figure, whom you can tell is male. This is the same man from the Secretn Ending of KH2FM+, the one who the Old Man creates. Terra is able to forceably get the man’s helmet off, but his face is concealed.
King Mickey is shown summoning kis keyblde, and then the scene changes very quicly to Terra on a beach. He seems to be watching two boys play in the ocen. After he rests his weapon into the ground, the two boys he was watching are clearer and they look like Sora and Riku. Soon after, Terra says “Please don’t depend on me, just erase me… friend.

if they make a kh3, i hope they do a FF world or a FF story..not just in a Disney world that have to encounter..why don’t just make a balance between Disney and FF world..what i mean is, if Sora still the main hero on kh3..Sora will travel each of one world, don’t always travel to Disney world and their stories..why don’t make a difference a bit?
like Sora travel to FFVII world where he met Zack Fair and helps him to stop Sephiroth or meet Cloud Strife, helps him to find Sephiroth..that will make the game better..not just in a Disney world where the FF characters are in there to support the Disney’s story but also in a FF world where the Disney characters are also in there to support the FF’s story..i do hope the KH 3D-CGI movie like a FFVII: AC will come out based on the KH1..

I think I read some where that this game takes place before Sora started his journey. I don”t know if it”s true though.

This game, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, is a prequel to KH1. It is set ten years before Sora gets the keyblade.
Now, Sora, Riku, and Kairi were all already born during this time. Sora’s 4, Riku’s 5, Kairi’s 4 and she hasn’t come to the islands yet (as far as I can tell). This means that Terra, Aqua, and Ven cannot be parents to any of them… so please, people, stop posting that theory around. ^^’
Kingdom Hearts 3, however, will pick up where KH2 left off, and will have Sora and the gang in it.

Hey, it takes place b4 KH1, cuz in 1 trailer, sora and riku were kids still…. It may show how xehanort bcame evil, how Kairi got 2 the islands, and how this all connects. Kh 3 takes place after, and Terra, Ven and Aqua r about 20….

When they make KH3, they will leave off where KH2 did, with the 3 of them on the island. All the different games are all related somehow. Oh, and Vincent Valentine from FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus might be in KH3, too. That could be your FF world for the game.

Xeharnort created the guy in the black armour and the article is wrong when it says that Ven is air and Sora is wind, its actually Ven is wind and Sora is Sky. In the video Terra holds Sora’s keyblade, Aqua holds King Mickey’s keyblade and Ven hold Riku’s keyblade. Xeharnort is Terra’s , Aqua’s and Ven’s Master but betrayed them or something. In the game you can play as Terra, Aqua and Ven, you have to play and finish all their stories to unlock the whole story. I do have a theory: Terra and Ven relates with Sora and Riku and Terra asks him to forget the island including kid Sora and kid Riku and Ven also washed Sora’s and Riku’s memories so they wouldn’t remember Terra and Ven.

its not out in america or the uk till next year i checked lots of websites and the release date for it in japan is december and that is still subject to change its going to be a long wait…. still the game does look good each character gets their own individual story that can be stopped and changed to another characte whenever wanted. and their is meant to be many new worlds from disney .. hope this helps

It hasn’t really been decided yet in Japan because they predict when they finish but if they are not finished they will tell us on the website. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days in japan was actually meant to come out early but was delayed one month, so it could also mean that Birth by Sleep will also be delayed.There is 55% that it will not be out in December but early next year. There is new worlds but also old worlds. There is an odd chance that the computer world in Kingdom Hearts 2 will be in Birth by Sleep but there is a good chance that the story also includes the story of the Princess’s like in Kingdom Hearts 1, the Princess’s that gathered to open the gate or something.

Just to let you all know that the person who made Kingdom Hearts said that Re:Chain of Memories is the last game he will be making for the PS2, so in the future he may make Kingdom Hearts for the PSP, PS3, Wii(Really Unlikely), Phone and the DS (50% chance)

My theory is that since Tetsuya Nomura is already thinkng of the future in the KH series while making BBS, they will have to include Terra, Ven and Aqua in KH3. Sora would meet them and we would learn more. Unless they die in BBS, otherwise, why would Square Enix make BBS before KH3? Think about it.

They made BBS before KH3 because they wanted you to know that before Sora there were other Keyblade holders and to tell you what happened before Sora got the keyblade there was already a keyblade war and no that he got the keyblade first.

Yes, that is also true. But at one point or another, Sora will have to learn about who Terra, Ven, and Aqua were. In KH3 most likely. But BBS is the first new KH game they have made since 2006, and the voice actors (Haley Joel Osment, Hayden Panettiere) will probably be older than 16 in KH3. I wouldn’t doubt if they made Sora and Kairi 18 years old. Although at the end of KH2, they were reading a letter from King Mickey, so if KH3 leaves off where KH2 did, they would have to be younger than that.

omg people i just got a theory well you remember in the beginning of the Kingdom hearts series how when the heartless came to Destiny Island we heard Sora’s mom calling him but remember we didn’t hear his dad maybe it is because his father is dead because he was also a keyblade wielder and he gave up his heart to save someone and turned into a heartless. unlike sora maybe his heart wasn’t strong enough to revert back like sora did and as we all know with every heartless that is created a nobody is born and Terra is sora’s dad’s nobody and the only reason he can hold a keyblade is because of sora’s father’s heart. Plus in the trailer Terra is always saying don’t depend on me that probaly becccause to he has the fate of every other nobody which is to fade away from existence I just thought of that on the so let me know what you think!

Well your thought is a little out there. But it could be true. You never know. Wouldn’t Sora know about the keyblades and all that then too? Also, Terra is more similar to Riku, Aqua is like Kairi, and Ventus is like Sora. Sora’s dad is either estranged and a former keyblade holder, or maybe his dad just wasn’t around at the time that scene happened. But I like that idea, though.

the events of BBS take place quiet a few b4 the first KH game! and Master Xeahnort (old guy) is not the Xeahnort everybody knows.

zero: No they shouldn’t. First the Final Fantasy characters are only cameos. Second, most Final Fantasy characters have different worlds as homes. Wakka (FFX), Tidus (FFX), & Selphie (FFVIII) live on Destiny Island. Leon (FFVIII), Cloud (VII), Cid (FFVII), Yuffie (VII), Tifa (FFVII), Sephiroth (VII), Arieth (VII), Yuna (FFX), Rikku (FFX), & Paine (FFX-2) are from Radiant Garden. Setzer (FFVI), Siefer(FFVIII), Raijin (FFVIII), Fujin (FFVIII), & Vivi (FFIX) live in Twilight Town. It would make it impossible for Final Fantasy worlds to be in KH due to the fact that a number of the characters from different games live in different worlds.
Khfangirl: Xehanort threw Kairi off into the sea of worlds hoping that she would lead him to the keyblade. This is in the Ansem Reports in KH1.
Brysen: Alright first Master Xehanort didn’t create the DS. The DS is his apprentice. Second, the part in the video where Terra, Aqua, & Ven pick up the keyblades is to show that the events of BBS are connected to the main KH series. Third, Master Xehanort is not TAV’s master. Nomura confirmed this in an interview. Fourth, of course it is going to be about the Princesses of Heart. They’ve revealed that much in the trailers.
Curab: No, Coded was the first Kingdom Hearts game released after 2006. 358/2 Days being was released last month. Also family isn’t important in KH. Sora’s dad isn’t a keyblade wielder. He’s jsut a character we don’t of because the story doesn’t effect him.
Micah: Nope, sorry. First, Terra is whole being. Especially in BBS. BBS happens before the creation of the Heartless, and by extension the Nobodies. This is confirmed by Nomura, and by the Ansem reports in KH1 which reveal that Xehanort created the Heartless. Second, Terra is not Sora’s father. Sora is four years old in BBS. Terra is at the most twenty. In order for Terra to be Sora’s father he would have had Sora when he was sixteen. Disney wouldn’t go for and neither would Square-Enix for that matter. Family is not important in the KH series.
Nobody: Birth by Sleep occurs before KH1. Ten years before KH1 to be exact.
