Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep
The new installement of the Kingdom Hearts series for the PSP, explaining the deep past of Kingdom Hearts, we are introduced by 3 characters, Ven, Terra and Aqua, Ven has a relation with Sora, Ven means air, as Sora means wind, which are the same; Aqua means water, and Kairi means ocean, which leads the same to water; Terra means earth, as Riku has some relation with earth. The major playable character is Terra, seen in the scans. In the game, the world Hollow Bastion or better known as Radiant Garden will explain himself more. Disney characters will make an appereance here as well. The old man is an older version of Xehanort, the game itslef will show the gamers the Real Keyblade Master, as Tetsuya Nomura (Director) well explained on his interview.
Trailer Descryption:
Scenes of the ending of Kingdom Hearts 1 flash by on the screen, and two phrases are seen clearly onscreen. One reads “Deep Past” and the other “Shut-Eyes gives birth to the concealed fate.”
We are then confronted by a young boy who looks like Roxas conversing with another young boy with black hair. Their surroundings seem to resemble Hallow Bastion (Radiant Garden). The name “Ven” is thrown outward, referring to the boy who looks like Roxas.
The scene change various times before stopping at an iamge of the Old Man from the KH2FM+ secret ending. He is called “Master Xehanort” by Terra. Soon after, Terra summons his keyblade and the screen chandes.
Various worlds are shown, and one of which is familiar to us all. “Olympus Colliseum” is making another comeback, followed by a brand new world, that of which resembles Sleeping Beauty.
The video then changes back to Terra battling against a dark figure, whom you can tell is male. This is the same man from the Secretn Ending of KH2FM+, the one who the Old Man creates. Terra is able to forceably get the man’s helmet off, but his face is concealed.
King Mickey is shown summoning kis keyblde, and then the scene changes very quicly to Terra on a beach. He seems to be watching two boys play in the ocen. After he rests his weapon into the ground, the two boys he was watching are clearer and they look like Sora and Riku. Soon after, Terra says “Please don’t depend on me, just erase me… friend.

Malifecnt is probaly a main bady in the game but then agian i dont see her role in bbs,unless she has something to do with Ven an the others. I mean i hope i dont have to fight her agian .It would b alright but i just dont want tha hassel,u now what i mean.

I have heard that the new monsters are called ‘Others’ is this true? Personally I not 100% sure but I thought I should ask if anybody else have heard these new monsters being called this.

In that case doesn’t that add a bit of intrigue in Xemnas referring to Aqua’s armor as “Friend” in final mix? Especially if you’re going by the general idea that the definition of “friend” would be alluding in some way towards an alliance or similar. However we must remember that the game is Japanese! So friend might have completely different connotations than it does in english. This is assuming that Nomura’s interviews were IN Japanese. I haven’t seen them, but I thought I’d bring up the point anyways.

hmm, the word friend must have some significance then, if Nomura says so. But look at some of the definitions of friend, they are interesting:

3. a person who is on good terms with another; a person who is not hostile: Who goes there? Friend or foe?

2,3, and 4 interst me, they could be the relation between terra, ven, and aqua, like they were part of a group of organization, or even same nation.

man in bikini, we know all this already. We also know that you can play all of the three charters, all three has there own story and licks to one anothers. To fully understand the game you have to play each charter, it doesn’t matter which one you start off with either. We know about Ven’s identiy will be answered in the game, but there are bigger qustions which are going to be answered, Such as how the heartless came to exist, who does Answem (the heartless) and Xemnas (the nobody) belong to. Then theres everything that I mention in my last post.
I would like to hear something more about the game, not just about Ven as we wont know till the game is out.
I’m sorry if I’m sounding a bit harsh, but this a discussion has come and gone.

I read that the game takes place 10 years B4 kh1 and the main story is finding Ven’s true identity and that you can play through all three characters (ven terra & aqua) story and thier own vantage point

Ok, I have found some information which is legit, the real deal, and it’s very interesting, when i read it, a few theories came to mind, but I would like to hear others first before I say my own, if that’s ok. Well here it is and enjoy.
The scene between Terra and Maleficent in the Sleeping Beauty world was said to be hinting towards a connection, but Nomura won’t say what it is. Most likely, this situation will be similar to Riku and Maleficent’s in KH1 where Maleficent was slowly attempting to lure Riku closer to the darkness.
Nomura says that the KH2:FM secret ending is “an image to the end”. This could mean that the scene takes place near the end of the game.
There seems to be something special about the term “friend”. In the TGS and Jump Festa trailers, Terra and Ven usually refer to each other as “friend” (sometimes, the subtitles actually have quotation marks around the word). Plus, in a new scene in KH2:FM, Xemnas refers to Aqua’s armor as “friend”, and finally in another new scene, Xigbar talks about the “Room of Awakening” and about how the “other ‘friend’” might be in it.

but the thing is we may be giving maleficent too much credit. she is smart and does manipulate people a lot but i dont think she is using sora because she is still an evil person. and she was dumb/submissive enough to be controlled by ansem. i do think that she has something planned and will hopefully have a better/greater role in the games to come but i just have no idea how it will happen.

the only thing of BBS I saw Melificent in, was a screenshot of her talknig to Terra, but she was at her home world, and it looked like she’d taken control of it already! maybe then she coudn’t tavel freely to other worlds because the Heartless wasn’t around, so she asked Terra somthing or made a deal or proposition, or mabey he’d just defeated her! who really knows! but she was smiling, so maybe that was like a test or somthing, since I think Terra IS Xehanort and thats how they met or somthing…

Now this Maleficent idea sounds interesting. I definitely felt from her roles in KH I and II that she has some greater role in the storyline, but I don’t think that role’s in the past. Perhaps we will find out more about her motives? From the look of it, she’s sitting on the sidelines, waiting for a specific opportunity to do something. Obviously she’s got some overall grand plans for Sora (Hence Helping him with the nobodies). I’d say her fight with him in the first game was likely a test, and now she plans to use Sora for some greater purpose. However, I don’t think this has anything to do directly with BBS.

going along with the maleficent theory, i think we need to go back to her role in KH 1. We know she was collecting the 7 princesses of heart, and had help from riku, who at this time was becoming corrupted by the darkness (and “ansem”). How did she find out about kingdom hearts, and what wazs her overall purpose ?? To rulethe world, or something greater ???
and if im not mistaken, wasnt “ansem” using maleficent to get to kingdom hearts? how did they meet, and what kind of deal did they make to work together??

why bbs’s senario has to do with ven’s identification? what about master xenahorts apprentice? isnt he a mystery too? have u seen a sceen in bbs when ven is standing in front of the beach and he taks with someone that only his shadow can be seen in the sand?(the shadow has similarities to rikus appearence) ven say’s “he is my friend so erase me” who do u think he is talking to?

i dont mean to say that the rest of the theory was worthless but the only thing that really caught my attention was the maleficent thing. now that i think about it she really does have somewhat of a major role in all of the kh games and from the screen shots we can see that she will definitely be in kingdom hearts bbs. i think it will be interesting to know how it all plays out and what she really does know as far as everything that is going on in the kh world. it MIGHT just be possible that she is the real major enemy in the game considering that she usually does most of the corrupting but usually stays on the sidelines as far as battles. plus it only seems natural that a disney/square enix series should have at least one game where you find out that a disney character is the main antagonist and not just some random side boss who seems to be pulling the strings from afar but in the end you realize that they were a pawn all along.
