Kingdom Hearts Coded
Part of the 3 new installments of the Kingdom Hearts series, focusing on Sora and Jimminy Cricket, this game has been consider Chain Of Memories 2 since the style of the gameplay and the story, this game assembles Sora in his old clothes, which it might be or after Kingdom Hearts 1 or before Kingdom Hearts 1. The worlds we see in this game are Traverse Town and Destiny Islands. Disney characters in this game are Mickey and Jimminy Cricket. This trailer will explain better the game.
Trailer Description:
When the video begins, we are introduced with a series of images, followed by the words “Kingdom Hearts: New Concepts and Game Titles.” Right after this, the ending to Kingdom Hearts 2 plays, followed by the phrases “The secret ending has been dealt with, and the worlds extend once again” and “flow”.
The screen fades back in to Jiminy Cricket and the phrase “Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories”. He is peering into his journal, noticing a phrase he cannot remember writing. It reads “You need to return, to heal the wounds”. This phrase seems to alert Jiminy in some way, as he runs off to report the finding to King Mickey. The king is startled by the discovery, but only replies with “Only he is the one who can solve it.”
We fade in and out to Sora standing on the beach at Destiny Islands. He is wearing his Kingdom Hearts 1 style clothing, but he is only shown as computer data being transmitted.
When the image of Sora dissapears, a battle scene commences. As Sora is movning blocks around to finsish a puzzle game, heartless are attacking from all angles. The gameplay mecahnics seem very odd. After the puzzle is finished, a command called “Debugging” appears on the screen. After being activated, Sora moves extremely quickly and then vanishes.
The last scene includes Sora aned Mickey in Traverse Town. Mickey says to no one in particular “I was here on that day.” and “Let’s speak truly”.

Tetsuya Nomura’s blessed gift, want to know what it is? Well, it is to be able to show us stuff we don’t understand, then later on, he makes us understand. For example: In Kingdom Hearts 2, who lifted Roxas and stole his munny pouch, we didn’t know until later on we knew it was Riku. Or at the beggining of the game, who were the two black hooded guys talking “He looks a lot like you. Do you remember your true name?”, well now we know they were Roxas and Xemnas. Or in the Secret Ending we thought Birth by Sleep was a spell or phrase, now it is known to be an upcoming Game! I JUST WISH I HAD A PSP to play BIRTHBYSLEEP! Something just hit me! If Mickey is wearing those clothes,and if you’ve played Kingdom Hearts II you see Mickey asking Ansem the Wise for advice.This might take place during that time.

i think that this realy sucks because not everyone will be able to play this game and allot of people really want to… you should really consider making this and the other two for ps2, or for at least a system that people can actually play instead for playing it on a PHONE!

I heard that KH3 will be for cell-phone, PS2, PS3, and DS. they are not sure about putting it on the Wii, but u never know and they say it is going to be twice as long as KH2 and that it might not have Disney worlds like the others, so it would be great to see what they will make up.

Coded is strictly for the cell phone. It takes place after Kingdom Hearts 2 and no it is not Kingdom Hearts 3. None of the side games are Kingdom Hearts 3. Also they are not going to make Coded for any other system, the same for the other two games. They are each going to be on there perspective handheld devices only.

I am ungodly upset about this move, but I trust Nomura. American cellphone technology is no where near the Japanese and I am positive that he will figure out a clever way for American gamers to enjoy “Coded”.
Because, to be frank, the last KH cellphone game was a sin against nature and possibly the most frustrating P.O.S. ever devised by man. I beat that !@#$ing thing and almost gave myself a mother!@#$ing ulcer doing so.

What carrier will the game come with? Verizon, T - Mobil, Cingular, Sprint, All-tell? I mean cell phones don’t have cartridges to load it has to come pre loaded. Xela: Actually it hasn’t. You are probably thinking of Kingdom Hearts for the VCAST. That is a Kingdom Hearts project done by Disney and Superscape. Square-Enix was not involved in the making of that game.

Xela: I search the internet. Check different Kingdom Hearts sites. Look at the references on the stuff about KH on wikipedia, if it doesn’t have something you can reference it from don’t bother looking at it. I read Nomura interviews and stuff like that. The stuff is out there you just have to find it.

Tazimus Prime : How would you know the game, ”Kingdom Hearts Coded” happens before Kingdom Hearts 3? I mean, you saw the picture, right? There’s this Sora’s face looks completey different, and its the same face fomr Kingdom Hearts 1. But I think it happens after Kingdom Hearts 1 or before Chain of Memories. But all you say it happens before Kingdom Hearts 3.

Kingdom1286: Kingdom Hearts Coded happens after Kingdom Hearts 2. This is a stated fact by Nomura. Now he has also said that this isn’t Kingdom Hearts 3, in fact he said none of the said games are Kingdom Hearts 3 but they each have clues to Kingdom Hearts 3. So you just make the connection that Coded happens before Kingdom Hearts 3.

Nage: There is still no official release date yet. We might here something at Jump Fest, but for right now it is merely speculation. However they will be released in Japan first and they will probably released from third quarter of 2008 to first quarter of 2009.

This is the second game for the cell phone, the first one, Kingdom Hearts: Mobil, Had no plot. It did nothing for the story and If you didn’t play it you missed nothing. This will probibly be the same way.

I don’t think this will be the same. Kingdom Hearts Mobile was made by Disney Mobile and Superscape. Square-Enix was not involved in the creation of Kingdom Hearts Mobile.

For some reason I think that this game does take place after KH: Chains of Memory but before KH2. Maybe it takes place while Sora is sleeping and he is dreaming all this along with Jiminy Cricket, Donald and Goofy. All dreams are connected some how so maybe this takes place while they are all dreaming…

nick: Well the reason his clothes are different then what they are in KH2 and are the same as they are in KH1 and CoM is because that isn’t really Sora. The is a virtual Sora created when King Mickey digitizes the journal. Nomura has stated it himself that this game is after KH2 and the plot summary from Square-Enix states that it is after KH2. This game will also reveal what King Mickey was doing in KH1. So, yes, this game is set after KH2. If you don’t believe me why don’t you go read some interviews instead of making yourself look like a noob next time.

358/2 Days and Coded are going to be released in the summer of this year in Japan. Birth by Sleep will be released sometime later in Japan. Which means we probably wont see 358/2 Days until the end of the 3rd quarter or somewhere in 4th quarter of this year. Birth by Sleep will probably be released in America next year.

Y’know, the fact that they’re releasing games for 3 different systems (all of which I, and many other people, don’t have) really makes me mad. I doubt most avid Kingdom Hearts fans will be able to play all of the games. It was frustrating enough when Chain of Memories came out, for those who didn’t have a Gameboy (and yes, I know, you don’t HAVE to play it to fully understand the storyline). I’m really mad at Disney and Square Enix right now for making it so difficult to enjoy their games.

yeah, i dont really like the debuggin’ stuff its LAME! ,as for it being for cell phones i think that would be really cool although it would run the batteries right out of the phone, you would need to be connected to a charging plug when you want to play. Kh2 final mix was released the year after japan made it (for America)but it was put out of production. i saw it on ebay, and a few other sites had it too. problem is it costs bout $150.
Re:chain of memories wont be released do to multiple glitches, breaks in the code, bugs, and other problems that cant be fixed without changing the game too much. happens with the translation and other programs used to allow it to be used on American ps2 consoles properly.
