    Well maybe they moved from one time zone to another and they were told school started at eight so they set their watches and left, so they were a few hours late for school.

    That wouldn’t work though, because w/out time there would be no watches. My mistake. But they woke up at the same time every morning and they were late for school.

    Kind of. First, they lived in one time zone, then they moved to another time zone and they didn’t know so they thought school would start at their eight and not the time zone’s eight.
