New Days Scans From Famitsu

SCENE ONE
Only the three Roxas, Axel, and Xion are together having a conversation on Destiny Island beside the Paopu tree. Xion seems to be confiding her troubles to Axel and Roxas. Somehow she seems different then the two of them…?
“In sadness, eagerly wishing for genuine feelings.”
“The two of them merely watch Xion.”
“Roxas cannot find the words.”
Xion: “Hey… How could I be the same as you two?”
Xion: “I want to be together with you two.”
Xion: “But I can’t return how it is now.”SCENE TWO
Xion is troubled and struggling to find an answer, what could save her…? Like Roxas, Xion does not remember her former self. While being held up by Riku, Xion asks about her own existence.
Xion: “Who the heck am I?”
SCENE THREE
Roxas has an encounter with Riku on Destiny Island! Roxas seems surprised by something and Riku wearing his outfit from KH1 instead of the black coat stands behind him. At this point of time, these two couldn’t possibly have met and yet…?
TWILIGHT TOWN
Axel talks about his friendship with Roxas, and then about Roxas and Xion’s standing in the Organization. Roxas and Xion are said to be special, but does the reason for it concern their “weapon”?
Axel: “Friends eating ice cream together, talking about trivial things and laughing.”
Axel: “You guys are special among Nobodies, but after all I think it’s because of those things.”THE WORLD THAT NEVER WAS
The commander of the Organization Xemnas is fully prepared and ready to begin. Also, in the screenshot it appears Roxas has collapsed…?
Xemnas: “The time is up.”
Xemnas: “We must not forget why we Nobodies are gathering.”Roxas: “But there was something being said at Castle Oblivion…”
Saix: “As I thought it seems to be the influence of Namine.”
TWILIGHT TOWN – CLOCKTOWER
Xion talks to Roxas with sea salt ice cream in one hand. Is Xion confiding her troubles here?
Xion: “Therefore if I can’t use the keyblade, I… I’ll become useless.”
Roxas: “If Axel returns, then the three of us can eat ice cream together.”
HALLOWEEN TOWN
Roxas will travel to various worlds on missions for Organization XIII. It appears that Halloween Town will be full of difficult gimmicks, using your head to solve them will be necessary. Also, if you present a bone to Zero the ghost dog, you’ll be informed where the gimmicks are at.
“Solving a gimmick!”
Roxas: (This lantern appears to be lit.”)
XIGBAR MISSION
Other members of the Organization are assigned to support the newbie Roxas on missions. But on the contrary, this time Roxas is helping out. In Hallowwen Town he will be helping out Xigbar. While Roxas is good at close range fighting, Xigbar is good at long distance attacking. Balancing each other, they make a good team. Not just making fun of Roxas, Xigbar also gives him advice.
“Xigbar is a joker, but his other side is…”
Xigbar: “Hahaha! Saix sent me a really reliable guy!”
Xigbar: “Jumping to a misleading conclusion is dangerous. You’ll learn from experience.”JACK IN HALLOWEEN TOWN
In Halloween Town, it’s residents Jack Skellington as well as Lock, Shock, and Barrel appear. Though spying seems to become the standard for Roxas, there is a scene where they meet. Also, Pete who acted covertly in KH2 appears. It seems Roxas has fallen victim to one of Lock, Shock, and Barrel’s pranks so there is a fighting scenario with them. During the fight there are pumpkin bombs that display a number. When the number drops to 0, it explodes and inflicts damage.
Jack: “Good job Zero! I hid it here, my device of fear!”
Jack: “Under the black coat there are innumerable amounts of bombs!”
Pete: “My plan with the Heartless is already complete!”
Roxas: “Dammit… Why are you bothering me?”

and since xion and roxas keys are fake so they are made from keybladers.
because they can wield one even if they are fake i dont think that just anyone can wield it.

Who’s the bad guy supposed to be in 358/2? I you’re in the Organization then who exactly do you fight sense you can control Heartless and Nobodies XD.
Random Add-on: I wonder if any of the new KH games or at least KH3 will allow you to wield 2 keyblades in normal play without being in a form

dunno. I’ve wondered that myself too. Riku’s been speculated to be it with him being in the timeline meeting Roxas and capturing him, but who knows really?

Final Form…that would be pretty cool if she could. That’s a good point about Riku, master x. Maybe the whole game leads up to first Roxas beating Riku in The World That Never Was and then Riku coming back and turning to darkness to beat Roxas and take it back to Diz.

Chronologically it would make sense right? Otherwise then how did Roxas end his 358th day then before heading off to the Simulated Twilight Town for 6 days? (I guess technically his 359th day if you count the day he was born.) Weird, that means we already know one week about Roxas’ time being alive. Well there could be 2 days if it’s leap year lol. Maybe it’s just the time time when he’s in the Organization because he probably wasn’t recruited in on his first day. I’m wondering now if Roxas was around when Sora beat Xehanort’s heartless because Sora turned into a heartless before then.
I beat Riku the 3rd time in about 30 seconds cause I finally figured out the combos things and what I’m doing that far into Re: CoM lol. Just subtract the 50-100 deaths that I’ve had so far and this would be just like KH XD

Well 358/2 might be interesting but not necessarily good because something has to happen to Xion because she isn’t around in KH2. Just like something happens to Ventus and Aqua in BBS to cause them not to be around in KH and KH2 unless for some unusual reason they’re hiding out until KH3 like Terra seems to be when he shows up as the Enigmatic Soldier in Final Mix.
No problem about the updates Kyo…everyone has issues with technology at times and some are just more serious (and annoying to deal with) than others.

why do I get the feeling that the more this game (kh 358/2 days) is played, the more sad/depressing it’ll get once you get to the ending? (I guess it is kinda obvious since half of them are killed off in COM and the other half are done in by the end of KH 2, but still.)

vinvin, think about it. The more you enjoy each of the characters of Organization XIII, the more sad it will be. Sora kills off like half of the entire Organization in re:COM and KH 2 combined (excluding Roxas who merged with him, Vexen who was burst into flames by Axel, and Axel himself from a suicide blast). I mean in the end, we all know that each of the characters are going to die (or in Organization XIII’s case, disappear one by one (note: I did not say erased from existence)).

I have to agree with Ricky that BBS will have a sadder ending than 358/2 unless of course some of the characters survive and disappear only to reappear in KH3. Both games (BBS more so than 358/2) are leading up to KH3 so maybe the characters do survive or at least leave a lasting impression for KH3.
That was by far the most awesome moment in Re: CoM when Axel made Vexen spontaneously combust =).
On a side note I didn’t think Linkin Park’s CD was that bad…just different. I’m assuming you’re talking about Minutes to Midnight unless I’m completely outside of the loop about another CD XD
On a side side note the new GoW III trailer looked awesome. I’m not for sure what games come out next year besides possibly Final Fantasy but hopefully GoW III is 2009 game of the year caliber =) (assuming it comes out on 12/9/09 like it says on IGN)

Well hats off then. All I’m saying is that you never know. I’m personally speaking as someone potentially that if I were a fan of Organization XIII, after playing 358/2 days think here. The ending is the clock tower scene in Twilight Town and Roxas leaves a torn up Axel behind, awaiting his destiny to be. In the end, its been stated that Organization XIII has been destroyed, no more and no mass. We don’t even know that this game will be called KH 3 either so we can’t just up and say that this will involve Org. XIII and VAT and MX+DS all over again.

Besides, TN said these new games leading up to a fourth game involving all of them have these main themes, “Xehanort’s Memories, Riku and Mickey’s time in the Realm of Darkness, and Roxas’ time in the Organization”.

well u know…its covering the events of their lives in KH 1. While Sora was rescuing people from the heartless in KH 1, Riku was with the Hellfire Club (Disney Villains united of course) and Mickey was on his own journey to combat the darkness that threatened the worlds. Mickey met Riku coicidentally while finding the keyblade to Dawn in the Realm of Darkness and of course along with Sora because of the conflict with XH (Xehanort’s Heartless). After that Mickey and Riku were separated for a short amount of time and then we get into KH COM/KH re:COM. Coded is going to explore all of those events before COM/re:COM.

Who really knows when 358/2 will be out in North America because it comes out in February in Japan…for all we know it could be closer to the end of the year.
I don’t know much of anything about Coded but I don’t think it really plays a part with anything. I could be wrong, but I’m thinking SE just wanted to make a cell phone Kingdom Hearts game. Didn’t they do something like that with Final Fantasy before?
My BBS predictions: Ven has to have some connection with Sora and Roxas because he wouldn’t look almost identical to Roxas otherwise so maybe there’s something special about Unbirths and other people like there is with Nobodies. I’m betting that Terra will make an appearance with Sora and the rest of the gang in KH3 or whatever the next game with Sora is in. If he is the Enigmatic Soldier in Final Mix then he probably meant for Riku to have to keyblade until Riku gave into the darkness. Aqua I have no clue about. She could end up being some relation to a main character or maybe reappear with Terra in the next KH game. Just throwing it out there that Kairi’s grandma was telling her a story in Hollow Bastion in KH and her mom is never shown since Kairi just appeared on Destiny Islands (almost definitely wrong though since BBS is when Sora, Riku, and Kairi are young not before they were born…maybe a sister then).

As far as I’m concerned, until Tetsuya Nomura and his buddies down at SE/Disney release the game on its precise release (unknown) and we each have a copy in our hands playing it satisfied, any info. regardless if its true or not, is still valid. Personally in my beliefs, I think the Dark Soldier has to have some relations with the main protagonists other than he’s working with MX and they’ve disappeared. He’s got a similar build to Riku and a similar dark suit as well making some sort of relation to him too (too much of a coincidence if you ask me).

While I am rambling too at the moment, I have been thinking about something. Doesn’t it strike you guys odd that there have been legends of the keyblade itself, but no actual witnesses in the Keyblade War other than the keyblade wielders themselves (of whom none remain). It’s like the entire KH never knew they existed. This has led me to some odd ideas so here it is. Maybe just maybe, the keyblade masters had their own organization (something similar to Org. XIII) that was dedicated to the secrets of the keyblade and its great powers. They knew its capabilities and the consequences if put into the wrong hands, thus training apprentices to combat threats to using the keyblade for evil and pass on that knowledge.

technically it’s Spring 2009, that of which starts on March 21. mid 2009 would be June, which is far off from what was predicted and is pretty march the start of Summer 2009, where KH BBS is in that range for release (my guess personally is in between July 25 to August 15 2009 for Japanese release.)

A secret organization of keyblade wielders sounds good to me whether it’s right or not master x lol. The only thing is has Tetsuya Nomura actually said anything about keyblade wars? We can assume from the field of keyblades in the secrect ending of KH2 and there was a fact KH3 box art with that title but at least I’ve never heard anything official on the keyblade wars…as cool as they would be =)

it was briefly mentioned as well in a conversation between Zexion and another member of Org. XIII during the early years leading up to KH 1. They recently introduced Marluxia into the Org. and Castle Oblivion was nearing completion (hence why I think Marluxia was put in charge was because of the timining). This member mentioned of their past actions against Ansem, and that when a ‘great keyblade war ended, Xehanort appeared with no memories of his past on the verge of death itself’. It was also in the Secret Video of KH 2 Final Mix leading up to the fight between MX and the DS and VAT.

I think it would make sense that there would be a keyblade organization because we know so very little about the weapon itself other than it can unlock and seal away hearts, etc. etc. Also that the only mention of the keyblade masters was a ‘great disaster’ (which we don’t even know about) as well as the keyblade war.

I was just saying all this because KH BBS is so deep in the past and very little people know about the keyblade wielders. They would also have no affiliation with Org. XIII because they would have been around long before them and otherwise they would have been mentioned by Luxord, Demyx and others other than the original six apprentices, probably coincidentally meeting VAT somehow. Also the keyblade wielders are pretty much gone, dead, kaput. Riku was the last chosen keyblade wielder before the war to carry on the keyblade’s history, but even then, Riku and Sora wouldn’t squat about it. The only other guy that would know is Yen Sid because of BBS and him training King Mickey. I do agree though that Terra, Aqua and Ventus along with MX and the DS are the last of the keyblade knights from that particular time.

Besides Tetsuya Nomura stated that the cutscene with Kairi’s Grandma was a fairytale, having not a lot of importance to the story. Although I wouldn’t be surprised if there was an original conflict long before VAT that caused the keyblade masters to learn about their own weapons and use it for good intentions/bad intentions.

I had always wondered where the keyblade wars idea came from but never bothered to look. Just because the scene with Kairi’s grandma isn’t relevant doesn’t mean it can’t hint at other things like the fact that it wasn’t her mother of something like that. Since I’m sure that’s definitely true XD.
Ven, Aqua, and Terra meet Disney characters that later meet Sora. Something happens at the end of BBS that makes everyone forget Ven, Aqua, and Terra so that could also make people forget of the keyblades. Also there are characters in KH that know of the keyblade but not where it came from. Leon was the one that explained some things about the keyblade to Sora. King Triton seemed to know quite a bit about the keyblade masters and that they aren’t supposed to meddle in the business of other worlds.

I never said that the Disney Characters didn’t know about the keyblade, just that they know so little. The worlds’ paths were closed off in KH 1, but that didn’t mean they forgot about the keyblades or Sora. I just think that if VAT did meet them as well, surely someone would know about the keyblade’s purpose. Which is why I would think the keyblade masters and their apprentices did do their training in secret to keep enemies at bay, and also why there is barely any information on the keyblades. Leon I’m sure learned of the keyblade as well as other FF characters only because VAT were in Radiant Garden. It was the same thing with Maleficent. She only knew because of Terra in the Enchanted Dominion. So thus, even King Triton’s knowledge as well as other Disney Characters/FF Character’s knowledge of the keyblade is very limited to those three main characters (Ven Aqua and Terra), not the entire group of keyblade masters and apprentices put together.

oh sorry. This article is about the tranlastions to what was mentioned about kh 358/2 days above. I admit I did take this a little off topic. From what was said above, Roxas may encounter Pete in the same way Sora did in kh 2. There was also more info. on Xion as well that was mentioned too.
