New iPhone game from Square!
Well, Square has just announced yet another gem in its line of games released for the iPhone systems. It’s called Victorian Mysteries: The Moonstone, and will have the player trying to solve a theft case! Sounds like my type of game actually. Along with FFIII already having been released on the iPhone earlier this year, I hope we can expect to see even more great titles added soon! You can read the full article below.
SQUARE ENIX UNVEILS CASUAL GAMING GEM
Victorian Mysteries: The Moonstone Out Today on the App StoreLOS ANGELES (June 23, 2011) — Square Enix, Inc., the publisher of SQUARE ENIX® interactive entertainment products in the Americas, announced today the worldwide simultaneous launch of Victorian Mysteries®: The Moonstone for iPhone®, iPod® touch and iPad®.
Part of the Victorian Mysteries series of games from developer Freeze Tag Inc., The Moonstone is adapted from Wilkie Collins’s 19th century novel of the same name — widely considered as the first detective novel ever written in the English language.
Players, playing the role of Detective Cuff, are drawn into a world of suspense, suspicion and deception as they are tasked with solving the mystery of the missing Moonstone. The investigation focuses on the disappearance of a large Indian diamond given to a young Englishwoman for her eighteenth birthday. When the gem goes missing, suspicion falls on all parties involved.
“The Victorian Mysteries series of games has been a smash hit with PC and Mac gamers,” said Freeze Tag CEO Craig Holland, “so we’re excited to be working with an international publisher like Square Enix on the global launch to bring this classic detective tale to a mobile audience.”
About The Moonstone
On her eighteenth birthday, Rachel Verinder inherits a large diamond called the “Moonstone”. In addition its extreme monetary value, the diamond also holds great religious significance to the people of India. So much so, in fact, that three Hindu priests have dedicated their lives to recovering it.
During her birthday party, she wears the Moonstone on her dress, and it catches the eye of everyone who sees it. When the diamond is stolen later that night, there are a house full of suspects to be questioned, including potential suitors, servants, entertainers, and other party attendees.
About Victorian Mysteries
Developed by Freeze Tag for mystery lovers, the Victorian Mysteries series brings classic tales of intrigue to life on interactive entertainment platforms like mobile devices and computers. From Wilkie Collins to Gaston Leroux, enduring classic literary mysteries from the Victorian era are adapted to create immersive, suspenseful and engaging gaming adventures.

Sadly, it has been said by Nomura that KH3 would not be worked on until after 3D. We were all expecting something about 3D to be shown at E3, since it was announced. But the news that there was nothing there is sad indeed
