New Images From Famitsu
Well we have some new images from Famitsu. Click any to enlarge:

Here’s a better screenshot than we’ve had before of the three knights included in the battle in the Extended Secret Ending.

It appears that the Enigmatic Soldier may be summoning something else as the HP Bar isn’t the 16-17 bar one that we’ve seen previously. There may be a lot of tricks we don’t know about, but he’ll definitely be harder than all of the Organization members.

In Riku’s Story, we know you can do a Card Duel, and it appears it will be timed.

A friend card can be used in battle for a friend to help, but you can see original techniques when the cards are stocked in different ways. Here’s one of Mickey’s.

Information From Famitsu Scans
Thanks to KHV for this:
- There are special scenes featuring Zexion.
- One of these additional scenes is Vexen looking for Xemnas.
- Zexion seems to be looking for something - Xemnas is well informed on what Zexion is trying to find.
- These events take place BEFORE the construction of Castle Oblivion.
- You get to learn a little secret about Xemnas after defeating a certain enemy. It’s about a man who was losing his memory. It’s done on purpose that no one is allowed to hear it.
- There is a mysterious man in a Black Coat who seems to be well informed about Xemnas.
- Vexen and Zexion work together to search for Xemnas.
- In one image Vexen is saying “Where is Lord Xemnas?”
- It should be noted in the secret ending that the Heart in the sky thought to be “Kingdom Hearts” is a different colour.
Quoted from Famitsu referring to the Secret Ending: “Is this the Holy War from those who have the Keyblade!?!?!?”
- Nomura enjoyed putting his illustrations into Puzzle Mode.
- The Puzzle Mode can be accessed from Jiminy’s Journal.
- There are pieces of the puzzles scattered all over the many Worlds.
- The pieces resemble crowns. (This is the Crown Quest - Collecting crowns gives you more puzzle pieces.)
- The number of pieces are different each time, depending on the illustration.
- The names of the illustrations are as following: “Awakening”, “Heart”, “Inside and Outside”, “EDGE”, “Twilight”, and “Evening”. Scroll to the bottom of this news post for the images.
The controls for Puzzle Mode are as follows:
- Circle is used to pick up a piece.
- X is used to put the piece back down.
- Right analog stick is used to rotate the Piece left or right.
- Select Button is used for a hint menu.
There are several different methods to earn this, but it also means that the Crown above Sora’s head will have a different color, depending on the method.
-Theater mode is accessed by completing Re: Chain of Memories.
-There is an extra thing you can earn by beating Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix+ first, and then Re: Chain of Memories. This means you gain extra things from both ways round.
- Various abilities are needed for Crown Collection.
- Don’t expect the same thing when refighting the Organization XIII, their attack patterns change every time!
- A New hint is shown in the secret ending.
These are official names of the cutscenes:
- Roxas Day 1: Town of Dusk.
- Roxas Day 2: Reality that moves.
- Roxas Day 3: Passing Each Other.
- Roxas Day 4: Road to a Decisive battle.
- Roxas Day 5: A Distorting Life.
- Roxas Day 6: The End of Summer.
- Sora in Twilight Town: Awake Sora.
- Hollow Bastion 1: Gathering Shadows.
- Beast Castle 1: Beast’s Accident.
- The Land of Dragons 1: Strong Mind.
- Olympus Coliseum: Hero’s Crisis.
You can press L2 or R2 to switch between the English and Japanese voicing on compatible scenes.
- He has 16 bars of health.
- He has very powerful magical and physical spells.
- He is able to perform unbelievable combination attacks.
- You should not make a single mistake.
- His attacks are strong and he is very very fast!
DUEL
Duel is only available in Riku’s Story. When you put out a card, and your opponent puts out a card of the exact same number, you press triangle, and both you and the opponent pull out another card at the same time. The one with the highest number wins.
Hit
If you continue putting out higher cards then the opponent, you get a special attack known as “Hit”.
- A new skill for Riku known as Maelstrom is shown.
- A new move with Mickey is known as “Holy Burst”.
- Pluto is now a card available in Sora’s story.
- “Lucky Bounty” allows you to find treasure, with a card.

S-E Magazine & FF 20th Anniversary
Square-Enix just launched Volume 0 of the new version of their Official Magazine, including advertisments for the Square-Enix Party 2007 and Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+ Character Report Volume 2. Click any images to enlarge them:
The Character Report Volume 2 is a 96 page book which includes characters from and the worlds of Hollow Bastion, Traverse Town, Olympus Colosseum, Neverland, Agrabah, Deep Jungle, The Land of Dragons, Port Royal, Beast’s Castle, Space Paranoids, and The World That Never Was. There will be additional information included. It will be released on 29th March like Final Mix+, and will cost 1,000 Yen.
There’s also talk about the Kingdom Hearts Manga. Shiro Amano, the graphics artist for the novels, appears to love Roxas’ look and thinks he has a strong mind.
Nomura has also said again about the surprise at the Square-Enix Party 2007, but it’s unknown whether it’s actually Kingdom Hearts related or something else. They’re also celebrating Final Fantasy’s 20th Anniversary at the Square-Enix Party 2007, which leads us to believe that the event will be mostly Final Fantasy based:
This may mean that Kingdom Hearts won’t be featured very much at all, although we know that Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+ will be demonstrated there even though it will have already been released.
If you don’t know about the party, please read the Square-Enix Party 2007 News Post.

Two New Secret Ending Screenshots!
There are two new Extended Secret Ending screenshots shown in a magazine! Click to enlarge:
It appears that all five of the currently seen characters in the Extended Secret Ending can wield Keyblades, whether they have Keychains or not.
From the magazine, it’s said that the Enigmatic Soldier, being the strongest enemy in Final Mix to battle, is defeated easily by the Old Man in the Secret Ending. We see him defeat all three of the Armored Unknowns easily.
In the screenshot we saw from the Commercial, the mysterious man looking up at Blue Kingdom Hearts is apparently looking after one of the Armored Unknowns:

More New VJump Scan Screenshots
Our friends at KH2.co.uk have now posted High Quality VJump Magazine Scans of the entire article about Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+!
I’ve taken screenshots of the new images from it to show here. Click any to enlarge:
Top-Left: This is a screenshot of the Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix Difficulty Menu when you select New Game from the Title Screen. The Mode options are “Beginner”, “Standard”, “Proud”, & “Critical”.
Top-Middle: In Re: Chain of Memories, it appears in battle there can be a “Duel” Reaction in Riku’s Story. This begins a “Card Duel” which may result in “Successful” or “Failed” it seems.
Top-Right: “Mapcard Roulette” would be part of one type of Roulette minigame that takes place in the new “Roulette Room” in Re: Chain of Memories. Presumably the cards are spinning fast and you have to press Circle to select one (or for it to slow down to one).
Bottom: We can see a new attack by the Armored Unknown (the Secret Boss) in Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix. Also, after the previous screenshot where it appears he’s flying, he looks like he’s solidly on the ground here.
For anyone who hasn’t previously seen them, the other screenshots and many more are on the Official Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+ Website.
On a separate note, Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+ is 13th on Famitsu’s Most Wanted list.
