The official North American Square-Enix site has been updated with information about the Japanese versions of the 3 upcoming games:
Square Enix, Co., Ltd. (Tokyo, Japan, Square Enix), a leading developer and publisher of interactive entertainment software and services, announced three new titles in the award-winning KINGDOM HEARTS series at the Tokyo Game Show 2007 held in Makuhari Messe. The new titles are KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 Days for the Nintendo DS™, KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep for the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system, and KINGDOM HEARTS coded for mobile phones. These titles are currently only confirmed for release in Japan. Release in other territories will be determined at a later date.
KINGDOM HEARTS is a fresh and original series of role-playing games created by the collaboration of The Walt Disney Company’s game development affiliate, Disney Interactive Studios, and Square Enix. The first installment, released in 2002, has been followed up by two chart-topping sequels. The immense popularity of the series has earned worldwide shipments of over 11 million copies in only five and a half years.

Long before Sora took up the Keyblade, there were other Keyblade masters. One of these masters, Xehanort, disappeared one day along with his apprentice. Its not confirmed for PS3 what are you talking about? And SE only switched to Sony since it was selling the best, now that Nintendo’s in the lead they will switch back.

come on, the only square game released for a nintendo console (not counting the advace ports) was crystal chronicals. ever since VII was not allowed for n64 square and nintendo have been at odds. (it apparently had to do with cids swearing along w/ a few other things)

Hey,has any of you thought about the Heartless and Nobodies,and the heart???What would happen if someone cought the right “spirits” of the guy,and tottally fused em back together???Or better yet,but the heart in someone else’s Nobody/Heartless!!!One that they do not own!
btw,In Chain,it shows how Sora got in the mess between Oblivion and the Mansion in Twilighttown,does’nt that count for something?I mean,If Chain was’nt made would’nt you be wondering how Sora got there?And who Axel and the other guys are?(Including Namine’)

I think people should stop complaining about what systems there on ect. Just be glad that there releasing new games. Im happy that birth by sleep is new people and that there taking a break from Sora and his crew, even though they will more then likely be mentioned in the story or something.

on kh2.co.uk theres way more scans of the videogames birth by sleep and so forth with great graphics!!!! it shows Ven on destiny islands he shows great resemblence to Roxas and Sora,theres someones shadow by him and someone far away in the background!!

i’m shocked!0_0 I can’t believe it 3 new kh titles but it is true y would they make 3 new gamez when they KNO that they well be ignoring the other MAIN chars like sora,donald,goofy,riku,kairi,and namine that really SUCKS! but i like the idea of making 3 new gamez also cuz everybody was rguing(can’t spell) about the want it for psp and ds but now square has another problem evryone of u guyz r getting mad about it for ds,psp,and cellphones…(sigh) well the game I’M going to get is BBS that sounds interesting and mayb (if i get a ds) 358/2 days well anyway kh is the best KH 4EVER!

What a tragedy. 3 new handheld KH titles and no mention at all of KH3?? Come on Square, get with the program–quit selling off all these crap games and holding off on the ones people really want to play. Really, who the heck would rather be playing these games on a DS than on a PS2 or even a PS3? I’m not much of a fan of Square at the moment. Guess I’ll just have to wait to play FFXIII to get another noteworthy game from Square.

Coded should cover the King’s story during the events of KH and KH2. you’ll just play the game as a digial version of Sora. This is most likely done because everybody wants to play as Sora and they want the continuation of his story.
I’m kinda disapointed that you don’t get to play as the king. His in game mechanics in KH2 when you control him are really cool, even though they are very basic.
