Wow… Sorry, Darkepper… you have it WAY wrong.
There was no farewell at the end of the game, and so it could not possibly lead to a new adventure, so the Worlds are not opening there Hearts… That part in his book was referring to the really near future, when Sora said farewell to Twilight Town and Hayner’s group… that event started a new journey that had Sora going between the Worlds through Gateways they created for him because of the threats.
“The Worlds Shall Open Their Hearts” is a figure of speech talking about the Worlds creating the Gateways for Sora. You should not take it so literally.
Although I will say, you aren’t the first. I spent ages a while ago trying to over-analyze that book, and the only answer I got from it is the one I am saying here.

I was wrong about the Xehanort thing when I said he may have already been a Nobody when Ansem found him. However, you were wrong, also. He does not have the same appearance as his Heartless, I just went to Wiki and checked and, thanks to all three pictures being in the same page, I found that his original actually has the appearance of the Heartless and Nobody kind of blended together.
Another thing, I never said that the Xehanort = No X Heart thing ammounted to anything, and neither did I claim that the Old Guy is named Ignis as a fact, so please don’t be so rude about it.
I am going to keep coming back to my theory of the Old Guy originally being an ally of the Knights, and I will keep theorizing that his name is Ignis. And if you do not agree, please try to get his real name.

OK Mix up I like the thoery and everything, but I can prove it wrong. If you were to look up Xehanort on wikipedia there is a picture of him from when he was Ansem’s student. He looks exactly like his Heartless except in a lab coat. He has the same hair and everything.
Now I’m guessing that you’re saying that the old man’s name is Ignis because of the fact that Terra, Aqua, and Ven are latin for Earth, Water, and Wind (with ignis being fire). That is sort of logical, but I would go saying that. Thing like naming an Unknown character have a chance of snowballing into people posting that as his name. I remembr when evrybody was posting Terra’s name as Aero. Just be careful when post something like that.
Now as for this whole was Xehanort a Nobody when he was found nonsense. If read the Ansem reports in KH1 Xehanort tells you about him turning himself into a Heartless. Which shows that he was a whole person when he was found. Now this thing with Xehanort becoming “No Heart” and “Another” only works for the Roman/english alphabet. Which means in the Japanese alphabet it doesn’t become squat.
So in short Xehanort was a whole person in when he arrived in Radiant Garden. You fought his Nobody and his Heartless. And Ignis, where as based on a logical analysis, remains to be seen to be the Old Mans real name.
on 06 Jul 2007 at 10:21 am 616. Mixup
And here is my own little reply to a number of people about their theory.
The idea is question is whether or not Xehanort was a Nobody when he was found by Ansem. It may well be correct, but you are looking for the wrong evidence. Even with an artificial heart, a Nobody cannot become another Nobody and Heartless. So that is that theory out the window.
And if you say, Xehanort is “No Heart” or “Another” with an “X” added like the other Nobodies, an X in the name does not make a Nobody, the X was a tag, to say that the Nobody was in Org. XIII.
I have gotta say, though… I have just stumbled onto something interesting… Maybe Xehanort never became a Heartless and Nobody when he was found. Maybe the Nobody and Heartless we see in the games already existed when Ansem took one under his wing.
My reason for saying this… look at Roxas and Namine’ and compare them to Sora and Kairi. They look similar, but quite different. In KH2, however, we see a cinematic of Xehanort walking in on Ansem and Mickey having a chat. Xehanort looked EXACTLY the same as Xemnas, even though Nobodies differ in appearance to the original.
With that, I have something else to say… Xehanort’s Heartless stole Ansem’s name, right? Well… Xemnas can be rearranged as Ansem with an “X”.
I don’t see any real significance in that, just thought it is interesting.
Anyway… back to business…
I believe that the old guy is named Ignis. He was good but turned evil for unknown reasons. After the battle in the trailer he was badly beaten and with his body weakened, he was no longer able to withstand the Darkness and became a Heartless (the bad Ansem from KH1) and also left behind a Heartless (Xemnas)… he somehow did not retain his memories when he transformed, and it was Xemnas that was found, near death, on Ansem’s doorstep.
After that, Xemnas was given the name “Xehanort” by Ansem and he started to study under him. Due to the overwhelming power of Ignis’s Heart, experiences where shared between the Heartless and the Nobody, without either of them realizing it. And that is why they both stole Ansem’s name, even though only one knew him.
I know this leaves a lot that is not explained, and may not even make sense, but it at least tries to clear up a bit behind Xehanort. Because, as we know… Ansem only ever ASSUMED that Xehanort was turned into a Heartless after he sealed him away in the Realm of Darkness.
If there are any other possible explanations as to why Xehanort’s Nobody looks just like he did (even though every other time we have seen the original of a Nobody, it looked different) please fill me in.
It’s gonna drive me nuts trying to figure this dilemma out…

YEAH NO YOUR NOT ON THE SPOT IF PEOPLE ARE HERE TO TRY TO EXPLAIN THINGS YOU CANT SAY THAT YOUR THEORY IS COMPLETELY RIGHT. OKAY ANYBODY ON HERE CAN SAY WHAT THEY THINK KH3 IS GOING TO BE LIKE BECAUSE THEY ARE ON THE PAGE OF PREVIEW WHICH NOBODY REALLY KNOWS ABOUT. YOUR THEORY MAKES NO SENSE BECAUSE YOU CANT TELL THAT Xehanort WAS ALWAYS GOOD ALL ALONG BECAUSE YOU CANT PUT THAT TOGETHER BY “LOOKING AROUND YOU” SO DONT TRY TO SAY THAT HE IT OBVIOUS AND THAT THE FACTS ARE RIGHT AND YOUR TRYING TO BACK THEM UP “LOL” ITS NOT FUNNY BY THE WAY. SO STOP SAYING YOU KNOW WHATS IT IS GOING TO BE LIKE AND YOUR JUST BACKING IT UP.

could you guyz read the beginning of the story im writing and tell me what you think please
here it is…
The fog swirled and danced over the rough waters of the sea as the music of the night played. The moon glowed menacingly through the thin blanket of clouds in the sky. For most people, tonight was just an other rainy, but ordinary night in Duronoia, but if you got far enough into the forest, you would have known for yourself that this was no ordinary night. For tonight a young woman fled for the life of a child she barely knew. Far, far into the stormy night she ran, carrying the small bundle of a baby in her arms. Suddenly though, her flight was stopped short as a man in a long cloak stepped in her path. The woman stopped and the force of the wind whipped the hood off of her head revealing long blonde hair and captivatingly dark brown eyes. By the looks of it the man guessed that she was only still in her teens. between fourteen and 16 he thought to himself then he opened his mouth to speak“this little game is over Erin.” said the man through a mock playful smile. “Now hand over the kid and ill be on my way.” His red hair hung over his piercing green eyes and his wet clothes clung to his skin as he took another step forward drawing a knife from the cloth of his sleeve. But the woman stood still not even reacting to the fact that this strange man said her name. “You know I cant do that Marvola.” she spat out the mans name as if it were a curse. “ Now if you would,” she gestured to one side with her head , her long wet hair flipping around her sholder, “step aside..”
Marvola laughed harshly and gave a small wistle into the night. At that moment two large hands roughly grabbed Erin’s sholders and two soldiers stepped up behind Marvola. Apparently, the coward had not come alone. She hugged the now awake and crying baby closer to her body. “great” she thought to herself “I thought that that old lier told me that the spell would keep her quiet. “To great of a coward to come and get me yourself Marvola?” she taunted “had to have backup to come and get me?” she gave a small tight giggle, though the look on her face was still grim. “Just a small lady in waiting not even 17 years old yet?”
Marvola ignored her tauntings and took another step forward. “Like I said” he said still with his triumphant mock smile on his face,
“hand over the girl and I may let you live” this time it was Erin’s turn to laugh, a bitter smile broke the grim expression that was on her face moments before. “for how long Marvola will it take you to realize that you are a terrible lier?” The smile on Marvola’s face vanished, replaced by a furious glare, but he calmly said, “True, with what you witnessed tonight and as dicipline for what you have done I am afraid I cannot let you live, but if you do not hand the baby over right now…” he paused to wipe something off of his knife. “lets just say it wont be as fun of an experience for you.” he flashed another mock smile before taking another step foreward. A voice from behind Marvola made Erin jump. She had almost forgotten that the soldiers were there. “Uhhhhhh Sir,” It was a tall, brawny brunette soldier with cold eyes that were stairing greedily at the infant still crying in Erin‘s arms. “why do you not just take it from her?” he to the third man behind Erin and the grip on Erin‘s sholders tightened “I mean, its not like she can do a whole lot to fight back right now.” the baby gave another wail louder than the last. And Marvola shot her a glance that immediately made her fall silent. Then, he turned to the man who had spoken. “What is your name again?’ he asked, he seemed totally uninterested in this man’s name which puzzled everyone for a moment. “Moran sir” the soldier answered after a pause. Marvola flashed another mock smile. “Well Moran,” his smile got bigger and more friendly, but his eyes just got colder with the effort. “why not try your plan.” he jestured toward the baby with his knife and while it was in the open, Erin noticed the blade was decorated like that of a rosebush. The blade was split in four distinguishable pieces made to look like the stems of roses, whose thorns pointed in every different direction, but the flower that should have been seen on all four ends were still buds, all angled into four points placed closely together.
Moran stepped forward quickly and reached out for the infant lightly wimpering in Erin’s arms. But just as the tips of his armored fingers touched the cloth surrounding the baby, he suddenly screamed in pain and fell to the ground. The grip on Erin’s sholders wavered for a fragment of a second before becoming painfully strong. And The two other men with Marvola stared in discust, horror, and disbelief down at Moran as he screamed still watching his hands start to morph and crack starting where his skin touched the baby. His fingers cracked and twisted, morphing into strange angles, and just as his whole forearms started to do this, his hands sprung to flame. The strange silver fire seemed to move faster than known possible. The body of the now shreaking man was now ingulfed in silver, cold flame. The other man still standing behind Marvola looked around wildly, stairing down at the terrifying sight. His knees quivering in an attempt not to run away, far away, never looking back. Suddenly as it started, the fire was gone, in its place was just a pile of dust. Slowly soaking down into the ground with the rain. Yet, though Moran was gone, his screams still seemed to echo through the night. Erin was to preoccupied watching the horrific scene before her to notice Marvola, but as she looked up to see his eyes, she was surprised to see that his expression was not full of fear, or shock. But anger, and pleasure. He stared down at the remains of his fellow man and smiled knowingly to himself, annoyance burning through his eyes. Erin shivered not because of the coldness of the air on this night, but the freezing intencity of the mans eyes as Marvola again turned his attention to her for a brief moment before turning to the other men with him. “Does anyone else have any bright ideas?” he asked glumly. The soldiers didn’t answer their leader, they just continued to stare down at the spot where their companian once stood, eyes wide with fear. “How did that happen?” he laughed coldly to himself “that is the question spinning through your simple minds, is it not?” Erin glared at Marvola with absolute lothing air around. How can anyone trust that thing? she kept thinking to herself. why would anyone want to serve under such a terrible man? and with a small dark smile, to herself, she answered herself. Fear, and idiocy.
“Well” Marvola started his explanation as though he were talking to a room full of schoolchildren instead of two frightened soldiers, a 15 year old girl, and a now moaning infant. “She went to see that old fool living under the stairs of the castle before setting off. We all know that that old man wouldn’t make it that easy.” he paused to try to decipher Erin’s reaction when he mentioned that he knew what she had been doing before she left town. Just to spite, she tried to put on a facieal expresion that would be as hard to read and blank as possible. Marvola simply laughed and kept going. “ And if any of you had noticed, the air around the baby seems to not blow with the wind” he smiled and gestured to the blanket still surrounding the baby and it was then that everyone noticed it wasn’t blowing in the wind like everything else. Though everyone else was getting wet and blown from the heavy rain and harsh wind, the small child in Erin’s arms seemed perfectly dry, warm, and content. “ That my simple minded friends, is a side effect of a magical charm proventing the child to be taken without the girl handing her over without doing so willingly.”
thanks

Yeah… sorry Thimien, but your last huge post is mostly just repeating everything that has already been said by others.
And, I am also sorry to say that I disagree with almost every point. No particular reason, it is just that, while I was reading through it, something just didn’t fit. My gut is telling me that something is missing, or simply wrong. Really sorry to be such a jerk…
And…ansemriku
It is actually said in the game that every world is made up of both Light and Dark. Meaning EVERY world has a Dark Realm version of itself, but no twilight one.
There is only three exceptions to this.
The World That Never Was. That is a world in itself, it has no Light or Dark version, it was actually a blend of the two.
Twilight Town was just, well… a station in between the Dark Universe and the Light Universe. It is more-or-less the main Gateway between the Realms.
And Traverse Town had no Light or Dark version, either. It was merely the remains of Worlds consumed by Darkness all merging together to create a new world. And it could not have a Dark Version, because only the Light worlds were being destroyed, so there was no Dark worlds forming a Dark Traverse Town.
These three worlds are the only “twilight” worlds, and as such, they were easily accessed by both the Dark Realm and the Light Realm. You might notice that when someone escaped the Dark Realm in the game, they wound up in one of those three worlds.
Even Nobodies were typically born in one of them, as they themselves were the same as the worlds… (neither Dark or Light).
All of this is actually said in the game, or in the Ansem Reports (secret or otherwise) on the game.
So what I am getting here comes straight from the horse’s mouth.
And a message to everyone who says Nobodies aren’t evil. I partly agree with you, but the Nobodies were willing to kill EVERYTHING in order to get what they wanted. They may not be evil, but they sure ain’t good!
ok… kairilover, you got seriose issues man, she’s a videogame. I’m sure there’s a place for that on the internet but not here.

Holy crud, anti… that was the rudest comment I have read on this page. And that is saying something…
Try to be more tactful in the future, and make this site a lot more pleasant to come on.
on 06 Jul 2007 at 3:25 am 613. ANTI-PS3!!!
Thimien…

Grah… I think my mind just imploded from all of these theory’s. Ouch.
What if the video doesn’t take place in the past, present, OR the future?! O___O OMG!!!
Nah just kidding, I’m not that dumb. You say there’s parts from the past and future, I guess I’ll go with it. I realy can’t put a time on it though. So I’m gonna wait.

And I myself must apologize for my untactful remark here…
You have come to the wrong place for that, Storyteller.
I do not mean to be rude, but that is not what this site is for. Sorry.
All that aside, it does seem like a good story, although I agree with ansemriku (but seeing as how FF, KH, and Eragon are all good, it is fine)
I just want to point out the typo right at the end…
the last sentence…

Yes I know, I’m about to be a mean non-nice critic, but I’m honest, and you can work on it to fix the problem.
It honestly looks like you have a decent plot, but seems as if you just finished final fantasy VII and kingdom hearts 2, and Eragon.
Sorry for being so frank.

could you guyz read the beginning of the story im writing and tell me what you think please
here it is…
The fog swirled and danced over the rough waters of the sea as the music of the night played.
