Release Date
Kingdom Hearts 3 is yet to be a confirmed title by Square-Enix or Disney. It is therefore clear that there is no release date yet for the game. We have simply added this page in anticipation of there being an eventual title, and this will be the page to confirm a Kingdom Hearts 3 release date.

yo i have A theory.
What If there is the 4 chasers (armoured figuresin the beginning and they created Kingdom hearts as a way to link all of the worlds and the hearts in them. Kingdom hearts was a peaceful idea, but it contained unlimited power becasue of the strength of all the hearts in them. THe 4 chasers each followed thier own paths in thier world known as the cross roads. One chaser , Xehanort, became greedy and wanted the power of Kingdom hearts for himself. He (the black and red figure in one of the new pics) and his acomplice (insert random name. I”l use 344 for now) plotted to try to steal it. THe chasers had a great batle over it. In the end the other three were unable to defeat Xehanort so they did the next best thing. They banded tgeather and used their keyblades to open kingonm herats and steal his memory. But with such a large amount of memory it was impossible to simply erase it. So they scattered it into fragments and gave one person in each world a pice of his memory. Lost and confused, Xehanort was stripped of his chaser powers and his keyblade. He awoke in Hollow bastion, where Ansem the Wise took him in.
THe memories remained dormant the whole time, safely kept out of his grasp. THe one factor that the chasers forgot was Xehanort’s acomplise 334(please come up with a better name). He waited in the shadows hoping that Xehanort would be able to decover his memories. When He was defeated (at the end of Kh2) he sought the help of Malificient to regain the memories. He knew of how she was able to summon all of her supporters during the events of Kh. He asked her to do it again to help him recollect the memories. He promised her the throne in disney castle as the queen of all worlds. She recalls her group of followers and a few new people for the task. They recovered on of the memories in the heart of MAlificent.(of of the memories must of went to her).
This casued a chain reaction across the worlds. All of the memories that were locked in peoples hearts were begining to stir. THey brought on unpredictable behaivorin those people.
King Mickey caought wind of this and sent Sora and Co. a letter asking for thier help in retaining the memoris in order to restore the balance of the worlds. THey set out to the worlds newly reconnected by the chain reaction of the memories. the memories could be retained from the peoples hearts through the use of the keyblades, or would be released if heartless stole that heeart.
THe chasers, seeing the danger in Xehanort beiing reconstructed by his memories tried to stop both parties. THey treid whenever they could to prevent them from retaining a memory.
In a sense a war started out over who would be the first one to gather the memories. Sora, Mickey and Co. to gather them and lock them away, or 344(name please!!) and Malificent’s party to respawn Xehanort. With the chaser’s caught in the middle trying to stop both sides.
What do you think. I had a previous theory before, but with some of the new updates I rethought it out to include them. Please comment with questions and critisisms. I am curios to see what other people think about it. Onca again I need a name for 334 or the old man standing bedide the black and red armoured figure in one of the new pics.

this goes to dustin the 4 chasers are actually riku sora mickey and kairi. Now i know that doesnt sound right but i recently took a trip to tokyo 4 a gaming contest. and i played the jap… version of kingdom heartsfm+. and theres a twist the armored figures are the dark side of there hearts. remember at the end of kh2 riku talks to sora about the realm of light being safe now and talking about how they could be the dark…. so thats all i know 4 now ill keep bringing the info. oh ya keep up the work luv the site guys

it must come out in the PS2 or PS3 if it comes out on the wii, then it would be kind of messed up because most people are used to using the PS2 controller and i would much rather not swing the controller around all day. The graphics look so awesome they keep making games better and better i don’t care if it comes out on the PS2 or PS3 because i have both.

The manager of the Gamestop near me said that KH III will come out on PS3 AND the Wii. On the Wii, he said, there will be a Mushroom Kingdom(Mario) level. He doesn’t know when though. There will be something about it in the next issue of GameInformer.

I think that KH3 should come out on both the PS2 and PS3 just to make it fair. I don’t have a PS3 so it would be nice for it to come out out the PS2 and why would they make it for Wii? Playing a game like this you”ll end up poking someone’s eye out slashing the controller everywhere! When I saw the secret video at the end of KH2, I saw something, I don’t know where, that said those 3 people weren’t Sora, Kairi, or Riku. And it also said it was something after the keyblade wars or something like that. I can’t remember. I watched the video on YouTube. Well, whatever. I think it should still have certain charecters if it comes out such as:

OK simple deduction on a few things about kingdom hearts three one yes the chasers are separate from the original cast (i.e sora riku etc) almost all members of the organization were destoyed >>>roxas but there is question about rikus nobady from when he had a heartless also the fact that mickey shows up in the fmv sequence at the chasers battle with the rouge chaser awnsered things though that are confirmed the chasers choose who there keyblades go to thats why mickey sora riku and kiari(newly obtained) are allowed to weild the keybalde but another interesting part is that when you are fighting one of the chasers in final mix he is waiting for xeanort/ansem then when he learns its just sora and the gang he attacks so that means the chasers dont have a good trust value so wether or not they are good or the have there own intentions is unclear but i think with good reason that the sleep comment has somthing to do with xeanort and ansem not riku or sora/roxas so with that also it is confirmed that the chasers all have different paths the chaser that was calling for xeanort is DARKNESS the roxas look alike is LIGHT the blue haired ne is TWILIGHT which i think is either mickeys or kiaris chaser and the old guy/chaser is DAWN so knowing these facts the journey is going to be mostly about finding out how the keyblades came about and why the war is starting (again due to the fact the creator hinted that it was set in the past or the future in his interview)then how is the team going to defeat the main chaser ill refer to as DAWN but a main fact in this epic journey that needs to be discussed is what will happen to the worlds, keyblades, and the characters after the battle is won are all the doors to other worlds going to be shut and the keyblades destroyed??? and what will become of the legendary chasers what i cant figure out is how did DAWN come back into power when the chasers supposedly sealed him away or somthing whatever you think about this is your oppinion but everything i have discussed and claimed to be true is 100% real i am not into boasting rumors without factual evidence but once i get more intel i will try to put the pieces together for all the die hard kh fans out there but tell what you think of this post and i will check up on it to reply thanks for reading

why the hell would it be out on wii? thats the gayest system out there. thay would have to dumb down the graphics or take out stuff because such a basic system couldnt handle what a real game has to offer. here’s an example; that new sonic game is out for ps3 and 360. instead of having that game, the wii had to make an entierly new game because it coundn’t support the same thing

judging how kingdom hearts 2 didnt come out until 4 years after the frist came out, im not expecting this next installment until atleast late 2008, even though the pattern would suggest 2010 (thats a bit too long though)
im predicting a mid-way installment (like CoM) to be released on DS/PSP.
but how i was saying it won’t come out until far into the future, i doubt it will be released on the ps2, which will most likely be dead by then. At that time, they’ll have to see how the ps3’s sales are going (because it’s probably the obvious first choice), but if the sales are low, then they probably will release it on teh othe rplatforms. I doubt it will be releaed for the Wii, because square’s relationship with nintendo is only slowly regenerating to how it was once before, and yet its still stuck with spin-offs and such. 360 may be possible, because of teh ffxiii rumours but really, you never know… but ps3 still has the greatest odds.

Here’s another theory: I believe that the entire movie takes place in the past before KH1, because there were so many keyblades (from the great keyblade war) when in reality there are only 3 or 4. And like i said b4, the old man and Xehanort from KH1 are wearing the EXACT SAME clothes!! so this is why i think the old man and Xehanort are connected somehow.(see below)
When it says “birth by sleep”, I believe it means to explain how Xehanort came to be. sleep: being defeated, and birth: how Xehanort appears on Ansem’s doorstep.
At the end of the video, you see Mickey looking concerned out in the distance. I believe Mickey (and possibly the 3 chasers) stops the old man but doesn’t destroy him completely. Instead, the old man wakes up in Radiant Garden drained of his powers and his memories. (basically, i believe Xehanort and the old man are the same person).
This would explain why Xehanort had extraordinary talents, not to mention they both have white hair (doesn’t mean much). (if you watch the egnigmatic soldier battle and read the translations, you’ll see that this theory is quite possible).

(from ansem report 9) the one who saved the world was mickey, and the one who wrought chaos was the old man, Xehanort.
I believe the old man and the other bad guy in the video were also Chasers (keyblade makers) but the lost to the “darkness” and betrayed the others.
One thing i haven’t thought of yet would be what Mickey’s message to Sora and Co. could have been about. If anyone has any thoughts or replies, feel free to speak out, i’d really appreciate it.

There have been a whole lot of conflicting reports regarding the future of the Kingdom Hearts series from the creators. I am not saying that anyone is lieing. But noone could possibly have any HARD facts. From the reports I have heard, there will not be a definitive Kingdom Hearts 3. Rather, the series will split apart and expand to the other consoles. With each console beggining a semi-unique story. Wii included. This would make perfect sense, seeing how the original Kingdom Hearts was supposed to be a nintendo title anyway. The fact that there will be KH titles in nintendo’s future has already been confirmed. Now that could be a DS title, however I doubt they would restrict it to the US. And while we are on the subject of the PS3’s, sony has taken major hit, PS3’s are bust, and sony already stated they may concentrate on the development of their PSP, and allow the PS3 to come into it’s own. And the Sora chronicles are complete, and any presently planned KH installments will feature completely new characters, and may be loosely connected to the current KH storyline. I am not a diehard gamer, and I have always preferred nintendo. Zelda looks spectacular on the Wii. I cannot wait to see what they can do with the Kingdom Hearts characters.

I love kingdom hearts 1 and 2 and can’t wait till the third. and sora is the best! sora should be the main character seems as he is for the last 2! and it would be cool if they made kingdom hearts a movie or a program! but kh3 seems so far away like 2 or 3 years or so…. i can’t wait that long if it does come out in 2 or 3 years i will be 17 or 18 and probally out of it. but i don’t want that to happen! The chaser thing is the past, if you go on the internet and type kh2 final mix secret ending you will see an awsome fight, the old man is not Xehanort, it is the guy Xehanort copied, the tall chaser is Xehanort before and the old man and 344 (lol) the fight is for I think a last stand to kill the old man and 344 because they might be evil chasers or something. The old man and 344 hade obtained the power of kh already. Xehanort admired the power and wanted it himself(he even copied the clothes of the old man)The girl chaser has something to do with kairi being one of the seven princeces. The other chaser is roxas (no clue about why).

I might have an idea on when KHII:FM+ might come out for the U.S. I’m pretty sure that it will come out from Mid June to mid July because for KHII to come out for the PS2 was a 3 month deferetional from when it came out in Japan. If it came out in late March, it could come out in late June…

kh2:fm is not only the “special edition” of the original, its also a playstation version of CoM!…so I’m told. You’ll get to hear the voices of the first members of the Org.13 that you encountered in the game, as well as play it. KH2:FM also has an extended version of the trailer for numbah 3.

If anyone can possible scroll down this far to read my message, I believe they’ll probably release something in 2-3 years. Honestly, games these days take so long to create, they’ll have to generate the content for the Wii/PS3/360 platforms, and then adjust to the Next, Next-Generation consuls.
This is why a release date is difficult, last I heard Square and Disney dropped their Sony contract and are expanding into different systems.

Hey ppl. This is my theory but i am not sure of it. I got it by playing kh 1 and 2 and final mix(it in japenese and i dont understand a thing!) again and again.
Years before Sora’s adventure, there was a great war. In a place between worlds, there were those known as “Chasers”, those who had manifested great power and chanelled it through weapons they experly crafted known as the Keyblades. There were four Chasers.
The Chasers all had to power to create, save, destroy and lock world’s hearts. Their keyblade gave them enough power to unlock the energy of a worlds physical heart and be able to move from world to world.
The Chasers began to follow their own ambitions. In the place between worlds, where all of their keyblades laid to rest, the four seperated. Two followed the path of light, bringing life to the worlds, following the paths of Light and Twilight. The other two, they grew unhappy and decided that those who did not respect them should perish. They followed the path of Darkness. They began to bring destruction to worlds, destroying them.
One of the two Dark Chasers realized the faults in his ways and decided to back out. Much as Riku did, this Chaser follows the path of Dawn back to the Crossroads where he is forgiven for his ways. The final Chaser, the one they called Xehanort, would not give up, would not give in. The war began, it is unknown for how long this terrible time lasted. It has been recorded though and the Chasers are much like gods.
The war was either between great armies or just between the four Chasers, either way, the Dark Chaser, the Dark Keyblade Master known as Xehanort fought against the others in a great Keyblade war.
Xehanort was defeated, and with that, he lost something dear: his memory. Cast away he was born again by sleep. Waking up in the world of Radiant Garden, almost dead, a great Saint known as Ansem found him and offered his assistance. He promised to help him and when he realized the man’s memory was gone, he offered to help restore it.
The Chasers each had the ability to spread their power to a disciple or their spirits lived on through a bloodline or chosen ones. Passing their power on to make sure to Order of the Worlds was kept safe.
One Keyblade went to the King of all the Worlds: Mickey.
When Xehanort began to believe he was in fact Ansem, his fascination with the Keyblades grew. Unknowning even to himself who he was.
When the Heartless were born and began to create chaos, Riku was chosen to weild the next Keyblade, to save the people from destruction while Mickey was in the World of Darkness. But, Riku’s heart was tainted by his willingness to let darkness overcome him and the Keyblade was passed on to Sora.
After being selected first and later overcome by Xehanort, Xehanort was able to harvest his power to reclaim his Dark Keyblade and thus, Riku was able to have his own.
The final Keyblade was unnecessary until later, when the goodness and innocence of Kairi was able to bring hope to the other Keyblade Weilders and she too was chosen.
Roxas only had ones because he is an element of Sora.
After their adventures had ended, Mickey sends a troubling letter to Sora, Kairi and Riku. A letter that reveals Xehanort’s next plot. That he has perhaps remembered his true self. A plot to destroy the other Chasers, a plot to be the one and only Keyblade Master.
A great beast is sent to the Crossroads between worlds but is slain by one of the Chasers. The others appear from their selected paths and reclaim their Keyblades, as though they haven’t been touched in a long time. They look to the road of Darkness and the shady figure of Xehanort moves forward. Through his time within Riku, he is essentially “reborn” and while Riku tries to remove him, he is never gone. With enough power he returns to the Crossroads and a great war is about to begin once again. One that will decide the fate of the Chasers and all of those who hold a Keyblade…

I agree with the theory on post number 139 as well as the theory on post #6, they both tell basicaly the same thing are logical; so far I don’t see a problem or hole in it. Now, I read the theory on post #6 and I have to say this after a minute or two of thinking: The strange black and red figure helping the old man seemed to have come from him. If the old man truly is Xehanort, then I have a hunch of what that thing is. This thing isn’t a human, it’s Xehanort’s “guardian” or something similar to the black fiqure always floating around that helped “Ansem” (Xehanort’s heartless) in KH1 for the final battles. What do you think?

So Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix is only out in Japan. That sucks. My dad used to be in the Navy. He’s retired, but he’s been to Japan cuz he travled alot in the Navy. If he was still in the Navy I could send him to Japan and buy it! Although it would be in Japanese. Never mind that idea. Anyways….that would REALLY suck if when it comes out in the U.S that it’s on PS3! I want it to be on PS2 like KH and KH2! I would be sooo pissed if it comes out on the PS3. I don’t have one and I never will. Unless I save my money. That will be impossible for me. Besides, it will take too long. I’ll just have to live with the fact that there is a 80% chance it WILL be on PS3. Waahhh! =’(! If it comes out for PS3 I will take a risk. I will bargen my parents to buy it for my brother and I, then buy the game. I will tell them I will do more house work( and yes I mean chores)HEY! Ooo, well whenever the game comes out. I’m still getting it even if it comes out on another system. It was just last year on X-mas that I finally got a ps2 and I really do hope it comes out for it. (I prefer if it come out for ps2 and ps3 because then the fans would be happy and the profit would most likely to increase.)
Because even if the game comes out on ps3 not everyone has the money for. I know because I’m poor and I’m still in school. It’s not easy when your parents don’t speak English and think rock music and video games are nothing. But if so I’m still going to want the game. Of course once it does come out, in what a few years? I’ll still have to wail until the prices go way down for me.
Either way, I’ll be waiting calmly for it and keeping an eye out for it.

Since KH2 final mix is out i’m ganna order it. Alot of people are saying that KH2FM is coming out in the u.s this fall. I agree with that Aaron guy. Kingdom hearts 3 will come out around 2008 or 9 because it will take them a while to make it cuz of all the good graphics ‘n stuff. Believe me.
