Release Date
Kingdom Hearts 3 is yet to be a confirmed title by Square-Enix or Disney. It is therefore clear that there is no release date yet for the game. We have simply added this page in anticipation of there being an eventual title, and this will be the page to confirm a Kingdom Hearts 3 release date.

The secret trailer begins with views of a barren wasteland, with text scrolling across the screen (quotes from Ansem Reports 8 and 9). Ansem Report 8 talks about Xehanort’s machine that creates Heartless, while 9 has a line that may hold great significance to the trailer. The line reads “The Keyblade is said to hold phenomenal power. One legend says its wielder saved the world, while another says that he wrought chaos and ruin upon it.”
The trailer then brings us to a deserty plain with dark clouds over head. A heavily armored soldier is standing by a great beast that has been slain, which quickly erupts into dust and then nothing. This first soldier has chrome armor with a helmet that has rabbit-like earpieces. He wears a cape and holds a giant keyblade over his shoulder which is of an unfamiliar design.
Three soldiers.
To his right, another armoured figure walks towards him, also dawning a cape. This character has ear-pieces that shoot backwards, rather than up. The tinted eyepiece is the same as the first soldier, the eyes are unseen. This second charater has larger forearm armour and is relatively thinner. He is not carrying a weapon.
To the first soldier’s left is a third character. Much like the first soldier in appearance but there is something about this third soldier that looks feminine. The walk or the figure makes this last character have a female touch. This character is carrying a keyblade as well.
The characters moves towards the keyblades as the structure behind turns to dust.
As the three are close together, the first soldier moves towards three keyblades sticking out of the sand. The first keyblade in the line is Mickey’s Keyblade, then there is The Kingdom Key, followed by Riku’s Road To Dawn Keyblade. When the soldier moves closer to them, the ruin he was standing on vanishes into dust. The soldiers pick up the keyblades, the two with the pointed “ears” weild two blades each, the one with “ears” pointing back picks up the Kingdom Key and is holding another Keyblade.
There is a quick pan outwards and it is revealed that there are hundreds upon hundreds of keyblades sticking out of the ground. There are four pathes carved out, resembling a perpendicular crossroads of sorts.
Suddenly, there is a distant rumble, almost like an explosion. The three look into the distance and through the haze of the heat, an outline can be seen of a figure. Then the following captions show up on screen:

it shouldnt be on ps2 because ps2 really stinks. they should make it on wii because square enix and disney make alot of games with nintendo and i want to use my wii-mote as a key blade. Like Dustin said … i also have a theory.
My theory starts at the end of KH2 when sora and friends are back at destiny island. When sora gets back he and his friends have a good time. then strange things start happening like in kh1. Remember the door in that cave from KH1? well sorah goes in there using the key blade. Then there is problems in a new kingdom hearts created by mickie because of the heartless. and so goes on the sogga

yo i think i speak 4 eveary one ta say it would be amzing 4 ps2 but it will most likeley to come out 4 ps3 plane and simple but by the time it comes out it will prob come 2 about 300 if they even make kh3

srry to say but the cover is fake well maby not the cover but the ps3 thing is u can tell its fake. it shows a reflection and that shouldnt happen its see through plastic and some one photshopped it they havnt even released the name yet so its fake.

another thing is i would see more money comeing from putting it on ps2 but the game is also availible to play on the ps3 so its a game that can be played on both consules. also they would make more money if the game was on ps2 because the ps3 isnt popular yet and the ps3 didnt have a great opening year. ive read this on multiple sites and it sounds like its going to be on the ps2 also.

all i can say is that its going to suck if it comes out on ps3. im eventually going to get a ps3 but i dont want to w8 when it comes out i want to play it right away. and from what i have heard its supposed to make a multi premere on ps2 and ps3.

i bought final mix in san jose its awsome although hard 2 beat the rest of organization 13 and you beat roxas 2 its awsome i got it last week you automaticly get the secret ending wen the chasers fight who ever he is and who the hell is the 1 who got froze 2 death out of the 4

The ending to Kingdom Hearts 2 more than suggested the series was not yet over, but Square Enix has remained especially mum on the future of the series. Series creator Tetsuya Nomura may already have his hands busy with Final Fantasy Versus XIII, but he hasn’t abandoned his Disney collaboration. In fact, it may be spiraling in a new direction.
Eurogamer translated a recent Degenki PlayStation interview, where he discussed what he’s working on next. “First, it’s not Kingdom Hearts III,” said Nomura. “Of course, because we’re calling it a ‘new’ series, it won’t be KHIII. Also, it’s a series, so it probably won’t be just one title.”
Does that mean Kingdom Hearts is over? Probably not. The franchise is pure money to Square Enix, and just because Nomura’s left the creative reigns could mean little. Then again, maybe Nomura’s purposely throwing us off course — he’s the one who actually knows what’s going on, and maybe Kingdom Hearts isn’t as dead as we’re being lead to believe.
AND DIS:
so there’s almost no shock in Tetsuya Nomura telling Famitsu (thanks, IGN) that gamers should expect announcements concerning multiple Kingdom Hearts-related projects in 2007.
A full-fledged Kingdom Hearts sequel has not been announced for any platform yet; at this point, it could end up on PlayStation 3, Wii or Xbox 360 — or an undetermined combination of all three. Handheld installments are almost assuredly in the works, as well

1. in oz (where i live) where is says ps3 on top its see-though plastic
2. kingdom hearts 1 and 2 are covers which have a some sort of moutain with characters from the game.

Arizona, not to get you mad, but lets face the truth, now that the PS3 is out, the PS2 is a dying console… I’m not trying to get you ticked off, but Kingdom Hearts 3 is gonna have hella good graphics that I just don’t think the PS2 will be able to handle… So Kingdom Hearts 3 will probably only be released for the Playstation 3… Also, that cover has a subtitle, “The Keyblade Wars”, so do you think that it will be like Chain of Memories and set the stage for the true Kingdom Hearts 3? Just wondering, cause that’s what I think… please respond to this… I need support for this theory…

The cover and all was awsome, but am I the only one that noticed that it was not for PLAY STATION 2!? Does that mean that it it is only avalable in PS3? I have a PS2 and if it is in PS3 that means that I wont get to play it! I think that it is stupid to start a game series on one thing and finish it on a different one. Did you notice that it also tells you the storyline? It looks way cool!

OMG!!!!! that cover is wicked awesome man!!!!! I soo hope that it will be the actual cover for KH3!!!! If you haven’t seen it then do everything amelia said exept search it in the picture search page!!! The game probably won’t be released until 2009 at the earliest, but when it does come out i seriously hope that that is the cover!!! IT IS SWEET!!!!!!!
