Release Date
Kingdom Hearts 3 is yet to be a confirmed title by Square-Enix or Disney. It is therefore clear that there is no release date yet for the game. We have simply added this page in anticipation of there being an eventual title, and this will be the page to confirm a Kingdom Hearts 3 release date.

Ok people listen very carefully. Kingdom Hearts 3 is not going to be released this summer. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days for the Nintendo DS is, but only in Japan. Now this game is not Kingdom Hearts 3 and therefore should not be called Kingdom Hearts 3. That only serves to spread misinformation about the game. Kingdom Hearts 3 is not in production yet. The reason is because the Kingdom Hearts Team is currently still working on Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Now this is all confirmed information. Now Nomura has said that he plans on releasing Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days outside of Japan along with all the other side games. So the US can expect 358/2 Days either in the fall or the winter.

Elena? so you said someone said you looked like kairi eh? wow! cool! i dressed as sora last halloween but my hair was too long, now i look like kairi! and the release date for kh3, Brian, is prob’ly june or july in japan, but it maybe released sooner for the US, and with all the info i have on it, you can ask me anything you wanna know about it, and i’ll do my best to answer… that goes for everybody! ask me somethin’ and i’ll answer it as best i can!

yeah, but we let’s call it kh3 LOL it’s more exciting i guess, but, yeah… thats kinda sad, i definitly thought it would come-out this summer, i’ve been finding alot more info on it though! isn’t the 14th member of organization 13 sora? i’ve only been seeing game play showing roxas, axel, kairi and that one guy terra or whatever… oh… and that bald dude…BUT i dunno, theres so much crap and stuff on the new games that you kinda don’t know what to believe.

Also the Kingdom Hearts game coming out this summer is 358/2 Days, not KH3. Also it is only being released in Japan this summer. America can probably expect it in the Fall or Winter.

shawn: square enix hasnt made a preview for Kingdom Hearts 3 yet. the one u saw was probably the preview for Birth by Sleep. although it might say Kingdom Hearts 3 preview er something like that, its not really. kh3 isnt even in development yet.

first of all if anyone knew the release date it would the people on this website no tthe commenters. Second of all i think your right it should be on something other than the ps3. But it should.t be on the xbox it should be on the first system it was on befor. i mean so what if its old people still have it and people still play kh1 and kh2 as well. over and over and over again.

I can’t wait any longer. I beat the first two Kingdom Hearts as soon as thet came out. I’m sure Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to be good because I saw the preview. Square Enix needs to hurry up. Also, it should go on the Xbox 360 because I don’t feel like buying a PS3 just for this game. Let me know if you got a release date.

whoa! noooooo! I really didn’t think kingdom hearts 3 would be released in 2010…thats kinda disapointing. my friends and I all were convinced it would be out in June or July, (somewhere in summer) dangit… oh well, I guess this is when you say “the longer you wait, the better the reward”

Yeah,Riku’s Nobody was making it up, but anyways what I was going to say, Well you don’t have to believe me on this but before kingdom hearts 2 was out someone leaked out a ton of info. on kingdom hearts 3 I remember it said something about the three games as well but it’s probably not on the internet anymore it was supposedly some guy that took the name hackerdog or something like that.

Riku’s nobody: OK, yeah your a phoney. First of all Electronics Arts is an American based company which means you are currently located here in America. Square-Enix’s game development and testing occurs in Japan. That would mean your friend would have to ship the game demo to you. A friend that works a rival company that just happens to be itching to break into the RPG area of video games and that lives in another country. Even if your story was true the Yōichi Wada, the President and CEO, wouldn’t allow him to do it. Neither would anyone else at the company. What you and your friend would quite possibly be committing is corporate espionage. Second, if your friend was a game tester he would have signed a confidentiality agreement saying he couldn’t say anything about the game to you. Plus none of the test games would be allowed to leave the company anyways.

TAZIMUS PRIME: yes he started working when they made the second kingdom hearts i went to college with him and i tried to get a job at square enix last year for the newest game but it was too full and they said i didnt have the stuff for one of these types of games. i guess there really complex. but now im working for a new company im working on the latest need for speed and i do gotta say its gonna be awesome im the head of the graphics department. they pay fricken awesome!
ps. its not illegal for me to borrow it if he gets permission from the head of square enix which he already asked and its cool. they wont press charges.

Riku’s nobody: Unless your saying your best friend works for Square-Enix and lives in Japan then he isn’t testing any of their games. Sqare-Enix does in house game testing which means they don’t go outside the company to test their games. Each person who test games for them is an employee of Square-Enix and doesn’t test for anyone else. It says so on their official website that they don’t out source for game tester, like some companies do.

Kingdom Hearts 3 I bet will come at least 2009.
The three side stories will each come out this year is my guess.
Rikus Nobody:Does he or she only test specific games, Did he tell you what console it comes on or anything?
He or she probably won’t be able to let you play it because you’d think it would be illegal, If they have to look through it and fix it then he wouldn’t be able to recieve it unless he or she means it comes at that time for him in another year.
So someone has spread a rumor that is probably false.
But in my opinion I feel sure for some time in 2009.
Kingd Miki:Not necessarily everyone has to wait or have games to hold them until it comes in other places, They could order them online from Japan and things like that, But not everyone, That’s what i’ll be doing, I’m glad there’s features to change the language or i’d be screwed.

I have also heard its gonna be finished in may 3rd but you gotta see theres more too it. they gotta get a real game cover (official one) and they gotta get games testers to play through the game and find anything wrong with it. my best friend is a game tester and he gets to test the game out he gets it on may 27th and once he beats it hes gonna let me play it IM PSYKED!!! theyll be having gamers test the game for a year then once there all done they work out the kinks and then itll be in stores. so probly 2009 or 2010

okay people im hearing this over and over, “i want it to be on ps2 o please ps2″ ITS NOT GOING TO BE ON PS2. let me put this in perspective, think of the halo trilogy the first 2 are on xbox and the third is on xbox 360, and why you sak, its becuase xbox 360 was the updated consol with better graphics better memory and all that. and if halo 3 came out for just the xbox the that would be stupid when you could make it better with the updated 360. now this is the exact reason why KH3 is most likley to be on ps3 and if you people keep saying it is to much money then you have plently of time to get the money becuase KH# is mostlikley comming out 2010, mabey 2009 at the earliest. and i know everyone is hearing earlyer realese dates but that is probley for the japanese relaese so unless you live in japan i sugest you get some other games to hold you over.
now that is the clearest i can possibly make myself over the realese date and the PS3 situation

well actually kh3 is on its way. its actually almost done. i have a friend that works for disney and he is also a big fan of kh. and he found out that the supposed realease date is may 3rd. but he said they might need a little longer. remember how long kh2 took so yep there you all go.
