Rumours
Kingdom Hearts 3 rumours (that is just rumors for you American readers) and speculation are found here. Please note this is not factual information, but purely guess-work. We have no way of knowing whether or not this is true yet.

WHAT WE KNOW
The three armored characters that are shown in the “Sunset Horizons/The Gathering” and “Birth by Sleep” secret trailers ARE NOT Sora, Riku, and Kairi. Similarly, the bald man is not Ansem/Xehanort or his Nobody/Heartless.
The names of the armoured characters are: Ven, the Roxas-like character who is frozen; Aqua, the knight with blue hair; and Terra, the largest of the knights and the one who’s face is revealed at the very end.
The Enigmatic Solider is, in fact, Terra, and is hinted to have some connection with Xehanort, though what that connection is, is current unknown. An interesting trend between them now is that they both look similar, and are ‘Enigmatic’ secret bosses.
There are a lot of keyblades, a war is coming or has passed.
The Crossroads are important.
Has something to do with the Keyblade bringing chaos.
DENIED RUMORS
As hinted by Nomura, the story WILL NOT revolve around Sora, as he wants to leave Sora ‘on a break’ for now.
THERE HAS BEEN NO CONFIRMED BOX ART. The box art you see online bearing the name “Kingdom Hearts III” is not the real box art, as there are several flaws – there is no subtitle for Kingdom Hearts III and the side of the box actually has “Kingdom Hearts II” as it’s logo.
The next game will not be titled Kingdom Hearts 3.
The next game will not be on the Playstation 2, as Nomura has stated his last game for the PS2 was Final Mix +.
WHAT WE DON’T KNOW
Who the distant outlined figure is.
The place in the Kingdom Hearts timeline this trailer takes place in.
What the text means by “birth by sleep”.
These worlds are based on my own assumptions and predictions, they are to be considered rumors.
Kingdom Hearts III will continue to feature Disney related worlds since that is the main aspect of the game. Due to some new ownership and popular previous worlds, many new and old worlds will likely make a return.
Pixar Worlds
Pixar worlds are an absolute in Kingdom Hearts III. Previously, modern-classics like “Finding Nemo” and “Toy Story” were not featured in Kingdom Hearts because, despite the Disney name, were registered with Pixar, a seperate company. But since the development of Kingdom Hearts II, Disney finally bought Pixar. As a result, all Pixar characters and movies are under the Disney Empire and due to their critical and commercial success, it would be a missed opportunity not to have these characters featured in the next game.
Toy Story – “Andy and/or Sid’s Room”
With new ownership over Pixar, we may see a new level where Sora and Co. are the size of toys, much like when you shrink in Wonderland in the first game.
The Incredibles – “Nomanisan Island”
Everyone remembers the secretly evil island from the Incredibles where the super-family spring back into action to take down the nasty Syndrome. It wouldn’t be a long shot to say that Sora, Donald and Goofy might don some tights and help the family out in the next game.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
A world and characters that were heavily requested in Kingdom Hearts II but never made the cut. We may expect some appearances in the next game.
“100 Acre Wood”
The one world in both Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II where no Heartless roam. In this world the player simply plays through simple mini-games. This has proved to be popular, especially since it is completely optional and provides a good game for younger players. Since it came back in KH2, it’s likely it will come back once again.
“Olympus Colisseum”
The tournaments on the Olympus world have been favorites of fans since the first KH game. Being one of the most visited world in any of the games, it would be unheard of to exclude it from the next game.
New World – “Sand World”
The world visible in the Secret Trailer at the end of Kingdom Hearts II may be a world in the next title, considering the World That Never Was from Kingdom Hearts II was featured in the Secret Trailer from the first Kingdom Hearts.
“Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden”
Being the very most important world in both Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II, being the root of all evil and good, it’s quite likely that it will play another large part in the next game. Probably being the world that is safe to return to at any time full of shops like Traverse Town or Twilight Town.
“Destiny Islands”
Since this is where the characters were last left off, it’s almost impossible for the game to not begin here. And with the game likely being on Playstation 3, it’s an excellent place to present the amazing new graphics. A world full of palm trees, sand, water, a nice sunset/rise and a quite little village.

What i dont get is how that Old Man has so much power! Its probably more than Ansem and Xemnas’s combined. And maybe this whole game is some of Xehanorts memories. Maybe the old man is his father and the boy next to him is Xehanort or Xemnas himself. Maybe while Xemnas is in the darkness he sees that man and he tells him everything. Knowing this knowledge he and his father probably try to recreate that memory. And while doing his plans all of the worlds population and all the keyblade wielders from the past and presents keyblades are sent to that dessert. And about the characters I think that they are all Sora Riku and kairis kids Because it has may have been so long after that huge fight angainst Xemnas. And i also think that the chasers may be chasing Xemnas. Think about it. It may be true. DONT SENT HATE COMMENTS PLZ. I think this theory is pretty logical.

For the console argument, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Fans love the KH control style like it is. Just because you shelled out 200 bucks on a Wii and don’t want to pay the 500 for a PS3, doesn’t mean that you need to bias yourself for KH on the Wii. The control style, while good for Zelda, would be ultimately annoying, stupid, and quite possibly too simplistic to justify release on that console. PS2 doesn’t need to have the game for it either. It’s like settling for a ham sandwich when you can have a 50oz steak with fries and potatoes. I would rather have to save up and buy a PS3 and the new Kingdom Hearts than get it on PS2. I mean, why ask for the new game on an old system when Squeenix can make it at least twice as good as it would be. This doesn’t only include graphics, but processing speed, sound, and all the other nifty things that the PS3 has. It doesn’t cost 500 bucks for nothing, folks. It costs that much because it’s the best thing to hit the video gaming world in a while. The Wii kicked the crap out of it in the marketing area, but the PS3 takes the cake as the best system this time around. KH is awhile away. If you work and save, you can afford to get both when it comes out. Not to mention that you’ll be set for the other amazing RPG’s that the Playstation is renowned for.

i think riku is a little b***h who is on drugs he likes it up the bunghole trust me i would know.i have been hearing rumors that kh3 would be on nintendo 64 and the characters in the preveiw are crack dealers and they stole all the keyblades to sell for crack. the man you see walking is no one just an illusion to the dopies because they are so high. and birth by sleep is a meaning that means having dreams when you pass out because the drug overdose. when you wake up you crave more crack. the ending is a nightmare of crack being disinegrated off the face of the earth.the end.or is it…..

Tetsuya was interviewed, and I read the translated version, though I forget where. If I remember right, when asked WHEN KH3 takes place, he said it was sort of in the past and sort of in the present. My guess is that Sora is dreaming about the past when a “Keyblade War” took place and that he has this “dream” because he is one of the Keyblade wielders himself.

I believe that Nomura, or whatever his name is, said that no matter how much the figure looks like Roxas, it’s not him. And no, the Roxas-look-alike did not die. If you had an high resolution AVI video, you would see in the close up of the person’s face that his eyes are still moving.

I think that KH3 should come out for ps2 and 3 cuz I dont think they would let nintendo use such a popular game that was just on playstation 2…although it was on gameboy advance (kingdom hearts chain of memories), still. but idk it would be cool to use the wiimote for the fights n stuff lol.

I think you guys need to review the theory that Dustin put for comment #9. I don’t think SquareEnix itself can come up with a better storyline structure than that. Goddamn! There are some good guesses here, but Dustin’s ties all the stuff in the secret ending cinema together, and I think it would really make a good game. I’m going with that one all the way!!!

April 2, 2007 – With Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix + Re: Chain of Memories at last out in Japan, Tetsuya Nomura and crew can now devote all their energy to their next project. And that appears to be another Kingdom Hearts game, or at least another tie-up with Disney. But is it Kingdom Hearts III?
Speaking with Japan’s Gemaga and Dengeki PlayStation publications, Nomura gave a few hints on the new project, which he’s previously hinted would see formal announcement later this year.
Gemaga asked if the characters who appear in the new CG “secret movie” that has been added to Final Mix are from the new title. “They are people who have some relation to the new series,” said the producer. “However the next title won’t just be Kingdom Hearts III. If it were III, we wouldn’t call it a new series.”
Asked if Sora and Riku would make an appearance in the new game, he said with a laugh, “I can’t say.” He also hinted that the new game would have something to do with Xehanort, the main villain of the Kingdom Hearts series.
He was just as direct when Dengeki PlayStation asked for some details on the new title. “First, it’s not Kingdom Hearts III. Of course, because we’re calling it a ‘new’ series, it won’t be KHIII. Also, it’s a series, so it probably won’t be just one title.”
Nomura once again promised an announcement of the new game, whatever it may be, some time this year. In the meanwhile, he suggested that players attempt to unlock the Final Mix secret movie and start imagining.

Ohh it will be cool, i beleave it will be deferent to KH1 and 2, but will have alot to do with KH2, cause otherwise the secretending wouldnt show up at the end of KH2, its just near to impossible to imagine where does this part of story start in comparecent to the other 2 games, maybe before KH1 or sometime after KH2, or at same time as both, while Sora was doing KH1 and 2, all this was hpning else where… maybe..

Just wanted to point out, why would they bring out “KH3″ on WII??? if none of the others came out on the WII? if someone can be sure that KH2 Final mix came out on WII in Japan, then il say there may be a possability, even tho i think WII dont have what it takes to make KH3 the game they want it to be… just take another look at the secret Video, and tell me??? I think its best to say that Sora Kairi, and Riku are going to be in kingdom heartsIII. Besides I really want to explore Sora’s hometown the most. Also I think that the best bet is thatit will appear on PS3, because of all the fast action, and reaction commands, I believe that PS3 is most suited for that.

just saw the kh2 final mix secret video…reaper is on the right track…that old man is Xenahort, notice how the outfit has elements of his heartless(Ansem) and his copy has the same outfit that he gave his last second in command(Riku)…like Sora, he became a heartless, but regained his heart…he was said to be superhuman in the Ansem reports…perhaps he was a keyblade wielder before Sora. The old night…brown hair, blue eyes…Sora. the kid that looks like Roxas…could be him, don’t think nobodies age…or could be Sora’s kid who just happens to bare a resemblance. The girl though…got a strange notion that she’s Riku’s kid, it’d be a fun twist.
As far as it being on the Wii…i like the idea. the gameplay of swinging the wii remote as a keyblade would be bad@$$ and as far as the graphics go…if your expecting KH3 to look like that video…your forgetting what KH2 looked like after we all saw the secret video at the end of KH. If you dont think that the Wii could handle a game that looks like KH2 than you havent played Zelda: the Twilight Princess. Plus with how poorly the PS3 is doing because it costs to damn much they’ll have to put it on the Wii so people can actually play it. I mean the Graphics for the PS3 look amazing, but im not going to drop over $700 for it, i know a lot of people that love PS2 who have yet to buy one and find themselves enjoying the Wii instead.

kuriX, people keep making the same mistake lol by time KH3 comes out, PS3 wount be that price, and im nearly positive it wount come out on the WII, otherwise the last final mix2 would of come out on the WII in japan, the WII does not have the potential of a PS3, Zelda is good, but cant compare honestly, WII is a deferent console to PS3, and KH3 is a whole defente ball game. I dont think KH3 will be releaced on WII.

Two new things i just noticed about the old knight…he holds his key blade like Sora with two hands as he rushes…and more importantly, as his eyes glow yellow his skin darkens…he is transforming into his heartless form

It Can very well be Sora, theres just so weird on KH1 he was special cause he was only one with a keyblade, get Riku with his Dark keyblade, then you get Mikey with his Gold blade, Kairi, Roxas, and now in this Video everyone has a Keyblade… just gets better and better

It’s probably going to be released for the PS3, I think. Mainly because the graphics they have shown us back in KH2 were pretty spectcular, and I’ve seen what the Wii generates… ANd it’s nothing special. One of the things Square Enix does best is provide all us gamers with kick-ass and really intense graphics everytime a cutscene rolls around, so I really doubt they’re going to just let that main aspect slide away like that. The gameplay will definitely be interesting with the Wii, but for tradition’s sake, I think they’ll stick with the PS3. They’ll most likely release something like CoM for the next handheld console, or a spin-off for the Wii. Or maybe make two versions for both consoles, but I think I’m hoping too much. =P

So this is what I think. When Ansem the Wise put the machine on Kingdom Hearts and exploded all the hearts, no-one actually knows what happened to him after that – we all assumed he was dead. But, what I think, is that he went into the future and was tempted into the darkness – so that guy is actually Ansem the Wise. So, after the end of KH2, King Mickey went into the future, saw the crappy things that were going on, and is now back to the present and has sent Sora, Riku and Kiari a letter saying that he needs their help. Just a theory!

Thanks for posting that interview peppy, I had just read that late last night before I went to bed. It leaves a lot to the imagination that’s for sure. I cant wait to hear the official announcement later this year.
As for my thoughts, I really don’t want it to come out on PS3 , but I cant see why it wouldn’t. PS3 is the future of the playstaion and it makes sense. and yes in this amount of time the 3 will not cost what it does now. And unfortunately I have not seen the secret ending, so I cannot comment there. But it sounds awesome, and I look forward to seeing it soon. I love all the ideas and thoughts posted here, stayed up for hours reading them. I wish I had theories of my own to share, but I don’t have the imagtion it takes LOL . Cant wait to see what everyone thinks now that we know its a new series.

OK KH3 is coming out on PS3, i could bet on that, but its such a long way to go, PS3 wount be as xpencive, so start saving and buy one lol people keep complaning about the proce. I think im the only person that thinks its worth the money, just for the simple fact that one normal Blue Ray player would cost you 600 pounds, one HD DVD player would cost you 550 pounds, a PS£ has blue Ray, plays HD, and its SONY, so idk what every one complains about. lol save up till when KH3 is coming out and buy it them, im sure it will be halth the price, or lowered down alot anyways.

And yes lets hope it comes out on PS3, cause youl have a best game running on a proper console not that WII rubbish lol sorry WII fans i know you guys like it, and own one, but PS3 is better than the WII in my opinion, so if i had to choise another console for KH3 to come out it would be ps2, just for simple fact everyone has one, not the WII and its montion controlers, PS2 to me can gives more to players and still suprises me today, than the WII would ever give.

check gamespot.com for a release, they might at least have an idea of when it’s coming out
anyway, even though Nomura said it won’t have anything to do with the current KH series, he also said that it will involve Xehonort – the ain villain of the series.
I’m going with the videos being in the past, something from Xehonorts memory. they never explained how mickey got a keyblade, he’s had one since before the first game if you’ve read all the ansem reports.
I’m also going to support the theory that the older knight is ansem the wise, the frozen knights name probably is not Roxas – since the names of the nobodies in Orginazation 13 were formed by scrambling/reversing thier orignal selfs name and adding X to it. Sora could have been born because Ansem the wise was trying to save the frozen guy. also Kairi and the girl knight might be related.
on a side note to whoever said Kairi was the princessof radient garden, she’s probably not. Leon/Squall, and all those other people that used to live there would have recognized her and been all “Your majesty”. She’s just a princess of heart from radient garden

And I think the PS3 very well maybe worth 500 dollars, but do I have 500 dollars, HECK NO . My computer barely cost more then that, and I had to save to get that . So a PS3 will not be in my house until either the price goes down or someone gives me one LOL

Okay bascially the Wii sucks the graphics are horrible and to convert KH3 to the wii would only cause an extension to the release date because of the the new design of a battle system for the Wiimote and besides have you seen graphics on the PS3 !!!
now if the game was to come out for PS2 and PS3 that would be reasonable
and the guy from the extra ending from final mix isnt Roxas maybe they might be relatives or parnets of Sora and CO. but its not definate yet
