Rumours
Kingdom Hearts 3 rumours (that is just rumors for you American readers) and speculation are found here. Please note this is not factual information, but purely guess-work. We have no way of knowing whether or not this is true yet.

WHAT WE KNOW
The three armored characters that are shown in the “Sunset Horizons/The Gathering” and “Birth by Sleep” secret trailers ARE NOT Sora, Riku, and Kairi. Similarly, the bald man is not Ansem/Xehanort or his Nobody/Heartless.
The names of the armoured characters are: Ven, the Roxas-like character who is frozen; Aqua, the knight with blue hair; and Terra, the largest of the knights and the one who’s face is revealed at the very end.
The Enigmatic Solider is, in fact, Terra, and is hinted to have some connection with Xehanort, though what that connection is, is current unknown. An interesting trend between them now is that they both look similar, and are ‘Enigmatic’ secret bosses.
There are a lot of keyblades, a war is coming or has passed.
The Crossroads are important.
Has something to do with the Keyblade bringing chaos.
DENIED RUMORS
As hinted by Nomura, the story WILL NOT revolve around Sora, as he wants to leave Sora ‘on a break’ for now.
THERE HAS BEEN NO CONFIRMED BOX ART. The box art you see online bearing the name “Kingdom Hearts III” is not the real box art, as there are several flaws – there is no subtitle for Kingdom Hearts III and the side of the box actually has “Kingdom Hearts II” as it’s logo.
The next game will not be titled Kingdom Hearts 3.
The next game will not be on the Playstation 2, as Nomura has stated his last game for the PS2 was Final Mix +.
WHAT WE DON’T KNOW
Who the distant outlined figure is.
The place in the Kingdom Hearts timeline this trailer takes place in.
What the text means by “birth by sleep”.
These worlds are based on my own assumptions and predictions, they are to be considered rumors.
Kingdom Hearts III will continue to feature Disney related worlds since that is the main aspect of the game. Due to some new ownership and popular previous worlds, many new and old worlds will likely make a return.
Pixar Worlds
Pixar worlds are an absolute in Kingdom Hearts III. Previously, modern-classics like “Finding Nemo” and “Toy Story” were not featured in Kingdom Hearts because, despite the Disney name, were registered with Pixar, a seperate company. But since the development of Kingdom Hearts II, Disney finally bought Pixar. As a result, all Pixar characters and movies are under the Disney Empire and due to their critical and commercial success, it would be a missed opportunity not to have these characters featured in the next game.
Toy Story – “Andy and/or Sid’s Room”
With new ownership over Pixar, we may see a new level where Sora and Co. are the size of toys, much like when you shrink in Wonderland in the first game.
The Incredibles – “Nomanisan Island”
Everyone remembers the secretly evil island from the Incredibles where the super-family spring back into action to take down the nasty Syndrome. It wouldn’t be a long shot to say that Sora, Donald and Goofy might don some tights and help the family out in the next game.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
A world and characters that were heavily requested in Kingdom Hearts II but never made the cut. We may expect some appearances in the next game.
“100 Acre Wood”
The one world in both Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II where no Heartless roam. In this world the player simply plays through simple mini-games. This has proved to be popular, especially since it is completely optional and provides a good game for younger players. Since it came back in KH2, it’s likely it will come back once again.
“Olympus Colisseum”
The tournaments on the Olympus world have been favorites of fans since the first KH game. Being one of the most visited world in any of the games, it would be unheard of to exclude it from the next game.
New World – “Sand World”
The world visible in the Secret Trailer at the end of Kingdom Hearts II may be a world in the next title, considering the World That Never Was from Kingdom Hearts II was featured in the Secret Trailer from the first Kingdom Hearts.
“Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden”
Being the very most important world in both Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II, being the root of all evil and good, it’s quite likely that it will play another large part in the next game. Probably being the world that is safe to return to at any time full of shops like Traverse Town or Twilight Town.
“Destiny Islands”
Since this is where the characters were last left off, it’s almost impossible for the game to not begin here. And with the game likely being on Playstation 3, it’s an excellent place to present the amazing new graphics. A world full of palm trees, sand, water, a nice sunset/rise and a quite little village.

i really do hope they come out with the third one to. and for those of u who want to level up quickly on kh2 get an experience boost ability and the gullwing keylade and go to the pride lands.equip both then get hurt until ur health is in the red zone.then go to the peak of pride rock an fight all the heartless up there.it gives u like 3 times the experience it usually would.i started this at a level fifty and got to a level hundred in one day

I agree with KHfan too. I think that KH3 should be for Playstation 3 even if it’s not exclusive, it’s the most common gaming console. I know that most of the world has a PS2 and maybe can’t really afford a PS3 right now but with a little saving it could work. My brother and I are almost done with saving and we’ll have a PS3 soon, hopefully.
As for why KH3 has to be on PS3, well, most games are coming out on PS3 and/or Xbox 360 now. Even though PS2 is still dominant, the game designers probably like and prefer to “widen” the features and graphics of games and designing for PS2 as of now will be kind of constricting for their designing abilities, with all that new technology out now.
I had the chance to try playing on my friend’s PS3 and the gaming experience is just amazing and totally different from PS2. I hope they can give us more info about KH3 soon =]

I see Ven to be Roxas cause Roxas cant remember his past and cause of the unbirth could explain how he is roxas later on. also Ven/Roxas asked Terra to “erase” him in the KH: BBS trailer, meaning that terra erased his memories and sent him away. Ven even fights like Roxas in the battle trailer… So yeah THIS IS WEIRD and Aqua looks like Kairi…? could it be like a soulful connection? IDK BUT I NEEDED THIS ON THE INTERNET

I think there’s a connection between all of them but I’m not sure about Ven/Roxas. ‘Cause Kairi means ocean and Aqua means water, Sora means sky and Ven means air and Terra means earth while Riku means land. I don’t think that’s pure coincidence. It would be too weird if it is though xD

im so lucky that i have a ps3 and a psp…..thats why its good to have a job…..and let me tell you that the ps3 is way better than the ps2 in playing…….i mean me and my friends rented a game last night wanting to play for a bit…..then later on we looked at the clock and it was 5:00 am in the morning. you just get lost in their games…

i think that the ds is some form of clone of mx which wud explain why hes able to control him so freely. i also believe that in that last battle in kingdom hearts between terra/ven/aqua & mx/ds terra and mx ended up merging with each other(not actually merging but took sum of the others characteristics) in some sorta weird way due to unkwown effects of being exposed to kingdom hearts.ven became sora,aqua became kairi,while master xehanort turns into the current xehanort we know from kingdom hearts 2 and terra became riku.my theory might be a little overthought but xehanorts heartless can control riku with just his will but the reason riku can try and resist him is cuz he has terras characteristics which cud also explain y riku cant use a keyblade cuz hes of both light and dark.

You i know i love playing sora and everything but i wouldn’t mind if they started passing down Sora’s Keyblade to his children and so and so on dark soldier cool idea but what if this was the distant future Sora, Kairi, Riku there all dead and where they got the Ven and them got there keyblades was Sora and Riku’s memorial to where they end the Great War battling Side by with other Keybladers where they defeated the Great Evil Keyblade Master. And Sora is the grandfather of Terra and Ven while Kairi there grandmother and Riku’s the grandfather of Aqua. The problem Promblem is the great evil has returned. Or it could be vice versa Terra and Aqua are Sora and Riku’s great great great great grand parents. And do to the bond by blood Sora was able to take the Keybalde from Riku. more

what!!! dude the 3rd KH should be still revolved around sora! ya have some game play with the 3 knights but do what KH 2 did and that would make a great game. I think that MR.N (sorry i dont know what his name is the creater or what ever)is just trying to throw the fans off makes us mad and see what the results of that will effect the turn out of if sora is main or not. Ether way the key blade chose Sora because he has a truly strong heart and the one fit to be it’s wielder.

hmm these are interesting rumours. im kind of bummed they arent making it on ps2 tho, because i dont own a ps3 at the moment, but whatev. if the rumours are true about the game not being released until 2010 or 2011, then im fine with that. it means i get more time to save up for a ps3 ^_^ i heard that the game is also based on the past, like before sora and all them came into the picture. even tho sora wont be the vocal point (also kinda bummed bout that) im excited to find out the back round story =D but if its in the future and all the characters are long gone (unlikely) im gonna be a little pissed lol

no it’s not out yet there starting later they were finishing afew games before Kingdom hearts 3 the earliest it we be out is mid 2010 or last 2010 in Japan since it’s will be out in the in 2011 or something

Exactly the game is simply a prequel to the first kingdom hearts game. This game is called 358/2Days and you play as Organization 13. Its coming out for the DS Sept. 2009
meaning that KH3 will more than likely take place in Sora’s POV again. YAY!Which i am very excited about. Bad news about this all, KH3 wont be out for awhile. i just hope its worth the wait

As was posted above, the facts are that this next game does NOT surround Sora and Co. In addition to that, we can off the bat say that the worlds where Sora and Co. can go, should be different, as well as the information posted. The information refers to Sora and his friends, but it will NOT be them. It’s a contradiction to the facts. So I request for the information to be updated.

from my point of view there is no need not to have a kingdom hearts 3 because at the end of kingdom hearts 2 almost all questions were answered but then sora got a letter from the king and that opened up a whole possibility of questions that could make up a sequel to kingdom hearts 2 in addition neither pete nor malifecent were defeated in kh 2 and what about all of the heartless and nobodies if malifecent and pete were to make more heartless they could possibly make strong enough nobodies to start up organization 13 again and if nomura wanted to end the storyline at kh2 why would he put that letter at the last scene if he denies making a new kh on playstation that continues the story then that either means he is trying to surprise us by lying or had planned on making #3 but decided not to later on but if he truly wanted to end the series he would have made it more obvious at the end of kh2 that this was the end and lastly what will happen know that sora is not there to protect the worlds because i honestly doubt that the heartless will stop!

Hey, Radiant Garden is a nice name. Besides, it was Hollow Bastion’s original name, so there’s no changing it back. I’m willing to bet that it was Maleficent who changed the name in the first place when she took control of the world. Either her or Xehanort’s heartless.
There are quite a few things that can lead up to events in KH3.
-Maleficent and Pete are still a threat and have most likely taken control of the Organization’s castle. Since the castle is, as Pete stated, way too close to the darkness, Maleficent could be more powerful than before.
-King Mickey sent Sora and his friends the letter in the bottle at the end of the story, and we don’t know what it says yet.
-Riku has his own Keyblade now, and Kairi most likely still has hers. Maybe she can be of some assistance.
-Some of the Disney films included in KH2 have sequels. When you think about it, Aladdin took place in KH1, and The Return of Jafar took place in KH2. If Agrabah returns, Aladdin could meet his father, the King of Thieves, in KH3. Another example is the Lion King. We’ve seen Simba overcome his inner conflicts and become king of the Pride Lands, but what will happen next if Sora and the others become involved when Zira makes her stand against Simba? Oh, the possibilities…
-There are a LOT of Disney films that have yet to be introduced to the world of Kingdom Hearts. More possibilities…
