Scenario Mysteries Interview

TheWertle has struck again! This time with an excellent interview with Tetsuya Nomura from Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+ Ultimania called “Scenario Mysteries”, in which he confirms the Enigmatic Soldier’s name as Terra!

In Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+, many mysteries are answered but many new mysteries are also born.

In this version, things relating to additional scenes are included, but during the story there are some questions that pop up, so we’ll see if Nomura can point us in the right direction.

Question: In the original Kingdom Hearts, the King searches for a Keyblade in the Realm of Darkness, but when he meets Ansem the Wise, is the Realm of Light Keyblade he has the one that Sora is currently using?

Nomura: No. The King has the ability to use Keyblades from both the Realms of Darkness and of Light. This is an important point – There isn’t just one Keyblade from each world, but just as many as there are people with qualified hearts.

Question: During the meetings, the members of Organization XIII are sitting in chairs. Is the height of these chairs determined by things like their skills and abilities?

Nomura: No. The height of the chairs is not fixated – They move. That is to say that the height is up to each person. The leader, Xemnas, is always the highest, and to be at the same height as him would give that member a pretty bad feeling, so the other members wouldn’t do that. *Laughs*

Question: At the end of Sora and Riku’s stories in Re: Chain of Memories, Roxas looks back while Hayner and the rest are walking and eating ice-cream, and without seeming to care, Hayner and the others continue walking. Is this because they can’t see Roxas?

Nomura: Well it’s just because they don’t know Roxas that they don’t notice him, not because they can’t see him. At that time, right after Xemnas explains Roxas’ name, Axel says to leave things to him. Then, Roxas seems jealous of how Hayner and the others are enjoying themselves while eating ice-cream, and Axel interprets this as him wanting some ice-cream, so he is obliged to go buy him some.

Question: In the real Twilight Town, didn’t Roxas cross paths with Hayner and the others and make aquaintances with them?

Nomura: I suppose. You can think whatever you want about that.

Question: What triggered Roxas’ separation from the Organization?

Nomura: As he kept having recurring dreams of Sora, someone he didn’t know, he felt he needed to leave the Organization to find out who these people he didn’t know were. As Axel didn’t want him to go, he didn’t tell Sora about Roxas in Castle Oblivion, did he?

Question: In Riku’s ending in Re: Chain of Memories, could you tell us the meaning of the scene where the King and Riku are walking together and Riku suddenly plops down.

Nomura: That’s because Riku realized he couldn’t completely get rid of the Darkness inside of him. The King mentioned in Kingdom Hearts II that as Riku held Xehanort’s Heartless in his heart, he disappeared from the King’s sight. It’s a sort of foreshadowing. In this scene, the King’s face looks worried for a moment because he felt that Riku might eventually no longer be there. Riku headed towards DiZ in order to restore Sora’s memories to normal, but in the end, his departure from the King was so that he wouldn’t show his preparations to use the Darkness.

Question: Could you tell us at what point Riku covered his eyes?

Nomura: When he departed from the King. You don’t know after the scene, but in Riku’s ending in Re: Chain of Memories, when he comes to wherever DiZ is, he’s already covered his eyes.

Question: Please confirm some things about Castle Oblivion. In the additional event “The Truth about the Chamber of Sleep”, you can gather from Xigbar and Zexion’s conversation that Castle Oblivion existed in the Inbetween Realm before the birth of the Organization. The Organization then found it and used it for experiments about memories and to look for the Chamber of Awakening, right?

Nomura: Yes. Since their conversation was about Marluxia’s entry, they discovered the Castle before that. In fact, its use, according to Secret Ansem Report 7, was for only 13 Organization Members. Naminé awoke in Castle Oblivion, but as she and Roxas were born at the same time, half of the Organization moved to the Castle.

Question: In the additional event “To Put an End to Everything”, Sora says “It should have been easy to say thanks to Naminé, but I couldn’t say it”. At this point in time, does Sora remember the things that happened with Naminé?

Nomura: If he remembers, it’s because Naminé’s existence was made possible by Sora, and when Naminé and Roxas return to Kairi and Sora, many things were connected. Since Sora never got to say thanks to Naminé, please think of that as a hint.

Question: In the additional event “Farewell to a Friend”, there’s a scene where Axel tells Roxas “You really do have a heart, don’t you”. What is the actual case here?

Nomura: In this scene, it ends bringing up more mysteries about Roxas, so for the answer, maybe take care to follow your hunches well. It’s also related to Xehanort’s memories, but I can’t give any specifics now.

Question: We’d like to inquire about the new secret movie “Birth By Sleep”. In the new event “The Truth about the Chamber of Sleep”, Xigbar mentions a “group that wields Keyblades”. Is he talking about the 3 armored people in the movie?

Nomura: Yes, Xigbar witnessed them when he was a disciple to Ansem the Wise.

Question: The Lingering Sentiment (Enigmatic Soldier) is the same as the armored youth in the movie, but when he fights Sora he mentions “Aqua” and “Ven”. Are those the names of the other 2?

Nomura: Yes, the blue haired girl is Aqua.

Question: What is the armored youth’s name?

Nomura: His name appeared once in code in the 2006 Tokyo Game Show Promotional Video. Also, Ven is actually a nickname, but his real name is a little bit longer. Sora, Riku, and Kairi’s names can be seen as “Sky, Land, and Sea” respectively. The 3 armored people’s names take the shape of different properties of the world, “Water, Wind, and Earth”.

Statement: Ven looks an awful lot like Roxas…

Nomura: I can’t give any specifics about that. He may just resemble him, and if there is a connection, Sora may be related too. What I can say right now is that these mysteries are all connected to the story.

Question: In the beginning, the armored youth’s eyes are blue, but at the end they change to gold. Is this revealing a change in him?

Nomura: I can’t give specifics about this either… I think everyone’s imaginations are pretty capable so please try and anticipate a lot of things.

   I’m not so sure about that. I think that the next game is gonna be like a sidestory for the Birth by Sleep Video. It’ll answer all the questions we’ve been asking, and see if our theories were right or not. Then, after that, it’ll fast forward to and explain Xehanort’s Plan after Kingdom Hearts 2 ended, and hopefull what King Mickey’s Letter said. So, I’m guessing it’ll happen shortly after Kingdom Hearts 2, but not until it explains Birth By Sleep. Also, what doesn everybody think of my theory on that little poem? It’s open to everyone, so if you wanna take a crack at your own meaning of it, go ahead.

   Alerith,Well duh he is ansem i just put it like that for the question cause his skin did seem darker and all…Well i KNOW that in someway terra is xehanort but yet he still hates xehanort there may possibly be relation or something,and if terra isnt then how?

   Ace,at the end of which world in kh1?Also if you mean End of the World as a title of something because you capitolized end and world? Because i found a quote in deep dive that said End of the World.

   Jeff, I mean the last world in Kingdom Hearts. End of the World a.k.a Heart of Darkness. There was a room with the machine Xehanort created The Heartless with, right before you fight that HUGE Gargoyle. It had these orange spheres and such all over the walls and a big Heartless Symbol outside at the end of the Hallway. If you examine the machine, that poem comes up. I’m just suprised nobody mentioned it. If you read my theory about it, I touch on some potential points of the poem.

   Alerith,I think the game will also take place AFTER KH2 i just think they will go through times and such or it will just be a different time in the side story and tell us what happens next too.

   Ace,I totally agree with your theory,but i think we can still figure out where exactly the crossroads are.Do you have any idea what they were saying in the RR ending?

   Alerith,Also xehanort cant be getting his memories back and going on a rampage against aqua,ven and terra(xehanort)because if the bald man was xehanort and xehanort the one that lost his memories and he is at a young age when he lost his memory it is likely it is terra,cause if he did control someone it was probably terra being controlled into the darkness,and that he lost his memory from there,and Xehanort would be the last name of the bald man and terra making them new characters technically.Also i think Ven is Roxas too because xemnas terra/not bald later evil xehanort’s nobody gave him that name seeing as he had no idea of hwo he was and all,and maybe the orgs. real selves did know them at one time and all because roxas had been reborn as soras nobody in castle oblivion where you CAN LOSE MEMORY it just depends and also the fact that there is 13 floors already i wonder hwo made that castle,it is in the inbetween realm,So i wonder if the crosspaths(Gathering) is in the inbetween realm too?

   twilight is different from dawn because aqua has a kingdom key sora has one mickey has the dark one and can hold whichever one maybe not way to dawn it dont have his keychain but i dunnoe so if there is three kingdom keys and way to dawn wouldnt it make four seperate paths of each chaser with each key.Cause there was three armored figures maybe mickey is a chaser and baldy isnt so maybe twilight is a path.Plus Baldy does not chase after criminals he is one,but hwo knows hwo created the keyblade but he is too deep in the dark to have made the keyblade maybe the ones of dark but not the others.Maybe mickey made them or someone hwo is also capable of wielding them all.

   I’m going to go out on a limb and say that Xehanort was always evil. Hence the “Progeny” of Darkness. One born of Darkness, or like in Deep Dive, a creation born of ignorance. Now, I’m gonna also say that Xehanort lost his memories by stepping too far into the Darkness like Sora almost did in Kingdom Hearts. He was found by Terra and converted to light, but The Old Man wanted to expose that Darkness in his heart, and brainwashed him. Like in the poem, “Come back to Eternal Darkness.” I’m going to assume that Terra and Xehanort have some relation to each other. They do look alike after all, but this isn’t the case like Ven & Roxas. Terra is Avenging Master Xehanort. Why is he kindly acknoledging somebody he hates?

   The Old Man had to have passed on his spirit to Xehanort to continue his Dark Reign. Remember the poem, “Ones born of Darkness, ravage all worlds and bring desolation. SEIZE ALL HEARTS AND CONSUMMATE THE GREAT HEART.” The Great Heart has to be the Blue Kingdom Hearts. This could also tie to the Dark Soldier as well. I have a feeling in my gut that whe this Dark Soldier is revealed, it’s gonna really change how we all viewed this story. He was concealed under a Helmet, and his face was never shown. I got a feeling that we’re gonna be shocked to know he is, just like we were shocked when Ven appeared to look just like Roxas. What if he has a striking resemblance to Sora, or Riku?

   Jeff, coulda explain this Castle Oblivion story to me. You seem to bring it up alot, and I didn’t play Chain of Memories.

   Well I realy think that Ven isn’t ROxas at all, as well as Terra not being Xehanort

   Like Nomura sed before, they’re all “NEW” characters. Those who we have never met before

   I alos don’t think the old man is Xehanort. He would have darker skin then. And is he able to wield a keyblade now.

   I also think that the clip occured in the past, but the game will have some connections with the past and future, skipping Sora’s story. Cause y did Nomura sed, this new one wasn’t going to be called KH3. Because its not a sequel to KH2. I think its more about the past.

   But I’m beginning to think that the future sequels of KH will be continuing Sora’s story. Maybe this one is just one that to answer questions, and tap into the greater depths and mysteries of KH’s story

   And twilight is dawn, as well as dusk. DiZ asked Riku what path he would take whether light or darkness, he chose twilight. then breaks into two categories, dawn or dusk, then he chosed dawn. And although Aqua looks like she’s wielding a kingdom key, it may not be one. Its also way too different from the other two. And if there is four paths, y does Aqua, wield the keyblade of the dark realm, and this so called dawn keyblade? Y wasn’t the old man wielding it instead? Thats cause there’s only three paths, Light, Darkness, and Twilight. Kingdom Key of light, Kingdom Key of Darkness, and Way to the Dawn. The fourth cross raod just indicates that they were up against something, ore somone. the fourth path may just be the one that represents “Chaos” those regardless of what power, dark, light, twilight, just wants to destroy and cause chaos

   Diz, he did say they were all new characters, but he did say Ven did have a connection to Sora, and he never said they couldn’t be the same person. He didn’t give any information on the Ven/Roxas Comparison. I still think Ven passed his spirit onto Sora and when Sora released his heart to free Kairi’s and became a Heartless, the empty shell left behind was his nobody. Since Sora returned to his Human Form so quickly, The being had no memory of who he was, or where he came from until he had reoccuring dreams of Sora. Ven looks EXACTLY like Roxas. So, Ven being dubbed as Roxas by Xemnas was to lead him away from the fact that he was actually Ven, and that him finding out the truth would ruin his plan of Consummating the Great Heart. So, I think Roxas is Ven, but just has no memory of that fact. Roxas weilding a Keyblade had nothing to do with him being Sora’s Nobody. If Xehanort can weild a Keyblade, why couldn’t Xemnas, or Ansem. What about Kairi? She could weild a Keyblade. I agree with you on the next game being more of a prelude, or prologue to Kingdom Hearts 3.

   Aqua weilds King Mickey’s Keyblade, but Like I said a while ago, the Keyblade in the ending and the Keyblade Mickey weilds are different. One is Blue and the other is Gold. Ven was tempted into Darkness by The Old Man, but Ven escaped and followed The Way to Dawn. Remember in the Birth By Sleep Video, Ven was about to attack, but Terra held him back. So, Terra had to be of Pure Light, which is impossible because a being of Light has no Darkness in his heart, but Terra’s Eyes changed color to release his Dark Side. Unless Aqua holds True Light in her heart, Ven is the Way to Dawn, and Terra is Twilight and is between Light and Darkness, and when hie eyes changed color he unleashed the Darkness in his heart. And now, Xehanort still remains a being of Darkness always to control the Dark Path and weild the Dark Keyblade.

    This theory only works if you think that this takes place before/during KH2.

    What if that is the dark realm? What if that is the beginning of Mickey’s story in the dark realm and his search for the Kingdom Key: Darkside?

    What if the dark realm has dark versions of all the keyblades?

    That would account for all the keyblades in the “Keyblade Graveyard.”

    There are two stages of Twilight in Dusk and Dawn. Dusk is the dark part of Twilight, and Riku wanted to escpae the Darkness and chose Dawn, or like I said earlier the beginning Light. Chaos is nothing more than a place, or state of confusion.

    Light, Darkness, Twilight, and Dawn are the 4 Paths that make up the crossroads.

    Kairi/Aqua follows the path of Light because Light is the absolute purity of good in somebody’s Hearts. Not even the strongest Darkness can break through.

    Xehanort obviously follows the path of Darkness. He was a creation, a being, born of Darkness, and wil remain as Darkness even if exposed to the strongest Light.

    Sora/Terra follow the path of Twilight. Twilight teeters on the brink between Light and Darkness. You can’t label Sora, or Terra under Light, or Darkness. Since Sora was overcome by Darkness, and became a Heartless. Terra’s Darkness that layed Dormant within was unleashed when his eyes changed from blue to yellow.

    Now, Riku/Ven follow the path of Dawn. Dawn is the beginning Light. The first appearance of Light. Riku stepped into Darkness so deeply, it almost swallowed him. He wanted to escape the Darkness, so he followed The Way to Dawn and find his beginning Light, and start over again. The way I see it, since Ven had The Way to Dawn Keyblade, he was misunderstood by the Light, and left the side of Darkness to find his beginning Light.

    Hey so if mickey can wield darkness and light then wouldnt he be able to hold inbetween?Hey i am just giving the heads up that aqua did not hold mickeys dark keyblade she held the other one with the blue handle and i am pretty sure it looks exactly like a kingdom key.Also in an old friend scene her armor is laying there with the blue handled kingdom key,So maybe if soras keyblade being used at this time is the kingdom key of light and mickeys at the moment is darkness then what would be aquas?Because it is being said that dawn is pretty much twilight and dusk is also but dammit someone no longer on here for some reason?,Acted like a smart ass and said that dawn is different from twilight and so if the two choices dawn and dusk are in the path of twilight but what would the realm that is normally just where everyone is be?Would it just be dark,light and twilight because the different types of hearts?

    So wouldnt that just make light,darkness and twilight because dawn is a choice of twilight and dusk is also so what would aqua be wielding would it be inbetween because terra is wielding the key of the light and ven is wielding way to dawn?

    So that means that there is four chasers and four realms and that terra wielding the light kingdom key is because he was in a state of light being overcome by darkness was the bald mans fault and made a heartless of him but then left the outer shell and made xemnas,So then maybe vens keyblade was dawn and his other keyblade was dusk and terras other keyblade was,Okay i am going to have to continue this on a different post its getting too long.

    Wait a sec in deep dive it says within door to light door to darkness,So where was mickeys dark key when the gathering and birth by sleep video took place cause the kingdom key of light had been there and the kingdom key of light opened the dtd didnt it?Cause all we saw is the kingdom key of light and aquas other one and way to dawn besides the other unknown keys.Well if they went in the door to darkness of kh1 then that would mean that it was the door to light because you noticed how xehanort was uncomfortable with the light that shot at him and all.When they went through the door to light then they must have used a key to get to the door to darkness kairi isnt using her kingdom key because the keychain is still missing until she gets it.

    So Kairi is a princess of heart and no matter what there is darkness in every heart but also light meaning she probably holds the combination path kingdom key,So Ven would be darkness but no longer because he went the way of dawn a new beginning of light so that means it went the opposite way with riku in the future.So making three paths and one that has a combination of darkness,light and twilight(inbetween)(dusk and dawn).There is two kingdom keys of twilight,one of dark and one of light.

    aqua is probably kept captive or asleep because they found her and knew that she had a incredibly strong heart so they took her for another plan thats about to unfold.The fact that aqua and kairi is a princess of heart gives her ability to hold the combination path and the others,mickey can hold dark and light but i dont know about twilight.Vens blade that broke is probably a key of the dark cause he had way to dawn and twilight has dark blade and light blade so that means terras other blade was Dusk and vens was dark and aquas was light.There is varieties of other blades from light,dark and twilight.So mickeys kingdom key of the dark is probably in the dark realm at that point in time until they finally got there and got the key of the dark kingdom and got to wield it.But instead i think they just found the keychain and payed a visit with yen sid to give him the star seeker keychain.The rest of the keyblades had been forged in the realm of light.

    You bring up Yensid, anybody else find it weird how you only saw him ONCE in the whole game? Where did he go for the remainder?

    You’re right about there being Darkness within every heart. But since Kairi is on the path of Light, her heart was too strong for Darkness to break through unlike Sora and Riku. Her heart was taken, but she never became a Heartless. Those who have Heartless were consumed by the Darkness within their Heart. Riku, although stepped into the deepest Darkness, never had a Heartles because his heart was too strong to be taken by the Darkness. Sora was Light in the beginning. When he used Riku’s Keyblade to free Kairi’s Heart, the Darkness was too much and the Darkness in his heart turned him into a Heartless.

    Ace,Well of course she is of pure light it would not matter so much as to of her being able to hold which key because she is a princess of heart.Also what End of the World in kh1 are you talking about,like what world was it?

    Also was there a window behind yensid when he vanished was it broken or anything?
    It is quite odd you only see him once in the game.
    Where was pete at the time it had happened?

    Here is what i mean with Castle Oblivion:Maybe the orgs. real selves have much to say about castle oblivion,Because there was say 12 or 13 floors im not sure i think its 13 but anyways they went there to study about the heart and get xehanorts memory back xehanorts memory may help a lot with study of the heart,So you do know that darkness overcame the org. and wasnt it so that the castle was only made for six of them yet there is enough floors for all of them they went to the inbetween realm where it is at they were overcome by darkness maybe that is what the crossroads is behind the door to darkness i guess i am false with the end of kh1 being the realm of light but the keyblades are forged there maybe because the keychains were stolen.So yet later the keychains were scattered all over the universe.
    You know xehanort was ansem the wises first apprentice.Wasnt it the six that first had the darkness overcome them?But anyways we do not know why ansem the wise had covered his face with that mask and you can tell his skin around his mouth is very much darker also his beard and moustache how did he cover them like that there must have been a reason for it and why did he call himself Diz?
    Somehow the org. escaped the dark realm with or without a key and somehow ansem the wise knew about it cause if it was ansem that finished the reports why did he call himself ansem when ansem the wise was right there?The Castle oblivion was only meant for six of them so the first six of their pasts have to do with the castle.in a quote of deep dive it says a world between=a forgotten world because it was forgotten and known as castle oblivion,you can see that roxas was made a nobody just as xemnas was and was found and just given that name cause he also lost his memory but found his real self as the good guy sora hwo he just passed his spirit onto and hwo knows where vens soul is thats the question?Ven/Roxas also lost his memory how?ven/roxas lost his memory so did xehanort but Castle Oblivion has that name for some reason.You can tell that darkness overcame xehanort before he got to hollow bastion so he would have already became evil before he got to ansem the wise so he didnt have anymore memory of himself but he still was overcome by darkness he may still have had paid a visit to castle oblivion,i will continue this later.

    So when ansem said these creatures of darkness seem interested in that door,what door was it?
    Wait a sec we see a man in an org. coat at that door in the secret place of destiny islands in the first game what did he say about that door and somethin about an eclipse and all that????
    The guy talking was in a org. coat so the org. must have been around before kh1 if so.Please reply your thoughts on these theories?

    OK guys there’s only three paths! i”ve sed before! Dawn is just another representation of twilight. The fourth path in the crossroads has nothing to do about the paths one must take in life! it just indicates that three warriors that took up those certain paths were to face off against someone appraoching from the distance. There’s only three, light, twilight, and darkness!!
    Kingdom Key of light, Way to dawn, and Kingdom key of darkness. And Aqua’s keyblade looks similar to a kingdom key, yet not close to even being one. First off, its handle is round, and its key end is hollow. If it was supposedly one of the three kingdom keys, then it would look exaclty like them.

    Although Sora fell into darkness, he still walks in the path of light, because he embraces it. Unlike Riku, he was still attatched to Darkness, but he also wanted to be in light. U c, its not necessarily about what happens to the peron, its what the person declared and believed in himself that who he is, and what path he takes.

    Ok, Diz. You didn’t need to get so mad Bro. I just mentioned, there’s a path to light, darkness, twilight, and there has to be a 4th path. If not Dawn, what? Dawn is the first appearance of Light. Leave the path of Darkness to find your beginning Light. But I do understand what you’re saying.

    Jeff, I’m talking about The End of the World in Kingdom Hearts. The Last World in that game. The figure that appeared in the Secret Place was Ansem. Later in the game, the same figure appeared to Riku and poisoned his mind into Darkness. He thought since Maleficent already exposed Riku to it, Ansem wanted to show Riku the full power of Darkness. The same line he said to Sora in the beginning of the game is the same thing he said to him at the end. I think I remember his words.

    “I have come to see the door to this world.”

    “This world is connected…tied to the Darkness. Soon to be completely eclipsed”

    “There is so very much to learn. You understand so little.”

    “A meaningless effort. One who knows nothing, can understand nothing.”

    This sorta weird. I went to FreeTranslations.com and I typed in, “Master Xehanort’s Avenger, his name is Terra. Not yet awakened, he is connected to those two.” When I got the translation, it was nothing like the japenese above. Instead, I got this:

    主人〔名人/マスター〕のXehanortは復讐者で、彼の名前は大地です。 まだ起こされないで、彼は2つのそれらにconnnected されます。

    But when I type that in to get the English Translation, I got this:

    Xehanort of the head of the family [the expert/master] is a revenger and his name is the earth. Without being caused yet he is done to 2 them connnected.

    I know it was stupid, but I thought I should do it.

    Ace,I think you found another thing that may help a lot it seems that maybe the head of the family would also seem to have xehanort as a name maybe he and the Bald Man both have Xehanort as part of their names also once xehanort turned himself into a heartless he became a creature of the dark slowly falling deeper into darkness so where is his good side(light) of his soul gone like my other question what happened to vens soul in the first place after passing his spirit on maybe there was studys and elaboration and all that stuff to make it happen.It pretty much tells it he is terra also a revenger hwo supposedly avenged the other xehanort or something like that he is done something to two of them that are connected and all that stuff i will try to look more in to that.

    Well I am just wondering though, y does a fourth path have to exist? I mean the fourth path in the crossraods, it was more just to indicate that the warrior of the three paths, was somehow to face an eneym approaching; from the “fourth road” the “lonely road” but I really don’t think that the cross raods represent the concept of light to darkness. But the keyblades are the ones that do so.

    You guys, interesting stuff. So you guys think that the translations mean something else then? O.o

    Diz,You said that if the blue handled one was a kingdom key then it would have looked like the others but the way to the Dawn looks nothing like the other two.Also what i meant with the fourth path in my theory is that it is just a path leading to the normal realm where everyone just is like hearts of darkness and light though they all have each but also Dawn like riku,shouldnt that count as a realm?Also i meant aqua and kairi being able to hold that type of keyblade is because she is a princess of heart she cant just be a princess of her own heart pure light because noonelses is like that besides the other six princesses.

    Ace;Well way to the dawn would already represent both dawn and dusk, because its a keyblade of twilight. As for the realms, if there was a realm for dawn, it would be in the realm of twilight. Since Dawn is within the category of twilight, which was created from nothingness. But if ur still referring to the “four paths” in the crossraods, with the “must” for a fourth path to exist in the concept of light to dakrness, does it really have to represent that? I mean does the cross roads really have to represent the twilight, light, and darkness thing?

    I’m still not even clear about Birth by Sleep. That still is a mystery to me. I can only assume that it took place when Sora was asleep. I’m not even sure about that. Birth By Sleep, I think, is in someway related to “A new story awaits the awakening.” I just found something here. I went to that freetranslations.com again, and I typed in Birth By Sleep to be translated in Italian and got:

    La nascita dal Sonno – which translated back to The Birth FROM Sleep. Birth from Sleep changes things a bit here. Let’s assume Xehanort was born as a being of Darkness, but it was never exposed and changed him because his heart was too strong. The Old Man could’ve taken advantage of that, and brainwashed Xehanort into opening himself to the Darkness much like Ansem did with Riku. The only way to open his mind to Darkness was to completely change him. The Old Man successfully captured Xehanort’s Heart and placed his body in a pod where he would be reborn as a creature of absolute Darkness. As he drifted away into a Deep Sleep, his memories began to vanish. And he was reborn without any memory of who he was, or what happened before. But Ansem the Wise’s Experiments on Darkness of the Heart rejuvenated that Darkness that was born through that Deep Sleep. I don’t know, I’m just rambling.

    Well, Diz, all Keyblade Weilders have to come from some paths of their lives. I have come to terms with Twilight and how Dawn is the Light Side of Twilight, while Dusk would remain as the Dark Side of Twilight. In the Secret Ending of KH2, Terra, Aqua, and Ven all came from separate pathways. Ansem the Wise met Riku at The Crossroads on whether he’d take the Path of Light, or Darkness. He responded by taking the Way to Dawn. Darkness is not strong enough to engulf Riku, because Riku has found a way to manipulate it and turn Darkness into his strongest weapon. Going back to Light would just make his heart more vulnerable to fall to Darkness again, but this time, it’d be worse.

    I know where you’re coming from. You don’t think The Crossroads are necessarily related to Light, Darkness, and Twilight. But they do play a prominent role. Myabe the Crossroads apply to The Attributes Terra, Aqua, and Ven represent, while The Old Man just follows a path solely of Darkness. But seeing Terra, Aqua, and Ven pick up the corresponding Keyblades of Light, Darkness, Twilight have to symbolize something.

    Jeff, it doesn’t matter because as weird as that is. When you translate something into Japenese, when it’s translated back, it means something else, and not the original word, or phrase you thought it was.

    Sorry, dont have time to read through all these well written, informative posts. (No sarcasm)

    If there is the Kingdom Keyblade (Light) and the Kingdom Keyblade Darkside (Dark) then cant there be 2 more Kingdom Keyblades for Twilight and Dawn?

    Unless of course you look at Riku’s Keyblade as the Kingdom Key equivalent to the Dawn Kingdom Key.

    This would also mean that the keyblades at the crossroads could consist of dark, dawn, light and twilight versions.

    Fenrir Darkside, Oblivion Darkside, Oathkeeper Darkside
    Fenrir Twilight, Oblivion Twilight, Oahtkeeper Twilight
    Fenrir Dawn Oblivion Dawn Oathkeeper Dawn

    etc. etc.

    So in thoery, Aqua could be holding the Kingdom Key, but for another realm.

    This also means that the keyblade Ven picked up was The Way to the Twilight, since Riku is already weilding The Way to the Dawn.

    Alerith,The ending where ven picked up way to the dawn is way to the dawn because this was before riku even got that keyblade maybe even before he was born.
    But Xehanort was found by Ansem the Wise some time later hwo knows when that was because seemingly the org. 13 did not happen until KH Com. did it? Xehanort would have been found by the time sora and riku were born at least so Ven would have had to be frozen for quite some time until the chance came to pass his spirit onto sora in some unknown way.:)
    So terra may have handled the darkness overcoming him for quite some time and it ate at him and eventually made a heartless Dis-soul you could say i guess because since he was able to create a human form of his heartless maybe thats the reason but maybe he can still be saved from darkness maybe cause there is still a light in him,but then technically it wouldnt be dis-soul,so would he have been asleep when he became a heartless or anything cause maybe xehanort was asleep in castle oblivion possibly from that time trying to get the help he needed in order to get by from darkness and such but instead something backfired.Maybe the orgs. real selves are also in there still asleep maybe their heartless got human forms too possibly.Also the other two Ven and Aqua are probly also there at castle oblivion aqua supposedly is in the chamber of sleep most likely asleep without the keychain of her keyblade since they were scattered.Vens soul human form heartless is in castle oblivion cause he did forget quite a lot just as sora did but he only passed his spirit on to sora.The truth about the chamber of sleep interesting.So Dis-soul is not soul birth by sleep is referring to roxas i am guessing,the most suspected suspects should be terra,ven,sora there seemed to be those characters in a collage in the background of a trailer.But i wonder how sora could be a suspect of birth by sleep having something to do with Dis-soul interesting any ideas?

    As far as I know, Organization XIII has been around ever since Xehanort banished Ansem the Wise to the Realm of Nothingness, while he lured Ansem’s Apprentices into Darkness with him. Xehanort had to have been around Sora and Riku’s age when he was found. He was probably around 15 when Sora and Riku were 8 Year Old Boys. Ansme the Wise even said he found Xehanort close to death. If my theory on Ven is right, then what became of Terra and Aqua if Ansem the Wise only found Xehanort.

    I would only assume that Terra was under Xehanort’s Dark Control and forced him to do away with Aqua, but the Darkness was too much and overwhelmed him. He collapsed and his memories slowly drifted away. When he was found, his memories came back each day becaue the experiments on Darkness of the Heart triggered something. Since Rkiu was easier to control than Terra was, Xehanort banished Terra to The Gathering Place, and when Terra found out what Xehanort made him do to Aqua, all he could feel was pain and hatred, much like Ansem the Wise, but he knew Hatred and Revenge would only lead to your heart being engulfed by Darkness.

    Ace… about the age thing… Xehanort’s age is like something you cant assume… plus he lost his memories.. so even he does not know how old he is..

    honestly the only caracters youl see growing up in this game, will be Sora, Riku and Kairy, the rest will allways stay the same…

    If anything Xehanort was a adult when he was found.. and if he did something bad he lost his memoreis for that reason.

    Let me just say a lil theory i had… nothing special…

    If i had to gess, id say Xehanort was a Nobody when he was found.. not to mention hes name has an X, and name spells “no Heart” and something tells me he was born in similar way Roxas was born. Roxas had no memorie of Sora, Same way Xehanort has no memorie of hes say default self..

    Some how during recheach with Ansem the Wise, he found a way to use the hearts darkness.. to creat his own artificial heart.. and there again plunge into darkness believing somehow would bring back his lost memories.. and creating “Ansem”, and “Xemnas”…. Now Ansem to me represents Xehanorts default self.. or maybe halth of him, because i think Xehanort’s original Self was a good man.. and when he turned into darkess the 1st time round, the Xehanort we know, with no memories was still a good man, so His orginal decided to eraze his nobody from existance, so he would never become a threat in future.. But Xehanort did not die.. and was saved by Ansem the Wise. Xehanort is all better now, with no memories of why he nearly died… or what hpn to him, wouldnt that make you go seaching for the truth.. he doesnt even know hes a nobody..

    Note: all Nobodies have all the memories from their original selfs, but no hearts. Only one who does not have memories is Roxas. But there has beena rumor concedering Roxas to have a heart… Obviasly Roxas aint just a nobody now.. specialy after seeing that secret video with Ventus on it,.. who looks just like Roxas… we know theres a connection, but what could it be..?

    Xehanort… was just searching for everything he forgot.. just like Xemnas was still doing in KH2.. Look at Xemnas, does it really look like he is all bad…?? he even takes Roxas in the organisation knowing that he was Soras nobody…. and its not only Because he could use a keyblade,.. something tells me he was thinking Roxas had a connection with his past, he treats him will.. he even tells Roxas about going to see Sora right at the start of KH2 on the beach.. Roxas and Sora are Unick and Xemnas knows that.

    Another Note: its said a few times in the game, that there was only another person who got his heart back after turning into a heartless.. one more person besides Sora.. Sora Turned, and came back and got his heart back.. yet his nobody Still lives…

    My point is… what makes you guys think… assuming Xehanort is a nobody,.. what makes you think this didnt hpn to Xehanorts original self?? and thar he still lives now in Soras Present… he Went into darkess, betrayed all his friends.. “Terra”, created a nobody “Xehanort” and lives just like “Sora”

    To add to this theory… I think Xehanorts original self, is alive in the present game we play with Sora just watching as everything unfolds… in the secret video we see a bald man, with an armored man… who does that remind you of… ??? Kh1 we only see Ansem right like 90% into the game.. and he controls Riku. who has a similar armor to this armored caracter in the secret video.. Does it not look History repeats itself.. ? But something hpn back then.. i think that bald man was stoped some how.. and since then, everything Else was Xehanorts doing.. So Sora becomes the Keyblade master..

    I think that Xehanorts original self was just in the dark waiting to see if Ansem could pull it off….
    And the hole of KH2, has a completly deferent meaning, to the main Darkness story.. who says Nobodys have to be bad anyways??? do you get my point?

    Now this can possably be the past.. and it probably is.. just for the reason theres alot we dont know yet.. and need to discover.. Sora is Still the must blissfull Hero in KH.. he never knows anything… Thats why he keeps going.. he does it all for his friends, making him a pure hearted Hero. Thats why this next game is sort of like a “Chain of memories” to KH3.
