Scenario Mysteries Interview

TheWertle has struck again! This time with an excellent interview with Tetsuya Nomura from Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+ Ultimania called “Scenario Mysteries”, in which he confirms the Enigmatic Soldier’s name as Terra!

In Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+, many mysteries are answered but many new mysteries are also born.

In this version, things relating to additional scenes are included, but during the story there are some questions that pop up, so we’ll see if Nomura can point us in the right direction.

Question: In the original Kingdom Hearts, the King searches for a Keyblade in the Realm of Darkness, but when he meets Ansem the Wise, is the Realm of Light Keyblade he has the one that Sora is currently using?

Nomura: No. The King has the ability to use Keyblades from both the Realms of Darkness and of Light. This is an important point - There isn’t just one Keyblade from each world, but just as many as there are people with qualified hearts.

Question: During the meetings, the members of Organization XIII are sitting in chairs. Is the height of these chairs determined by things like their skills and abilities?

Nomura: No. The height of the chairs is not fixated - They move. That is to say that the height is up to each person. The leader, Xemnas, is always the highest, and to be at the same height as him would give that member a pretty bad feeling, so the other members wouldn’t do that. *Laughs*

Question: At the end of Sora and Riku’s stories in Re: Chain of Memories, Roxas looks back while Hayner and the rest are walking and eating ice-cream, and without seeming to care, Hayner and the others continue walking. Is this because they can’t see Roxas?

Nomura: Well it’s just because they don’t know Roxas that they don’t notice him, not because they can’t see him. At that time, right after Xemnas explains Roxas’ name, Axel says to leave things to him. Then, Roxas seems jealous of how Hayner and the others are enjoying themselves while eating ice-cream, and Axel interprets this as him wanting some ice-cream, so he is obliged to go buy him some.

Question: In the real Twilight Town, didn’t Roxas cross paths with Hayner and the others and make aquaintances with them?

Nomura: I suppose. You can think whatever you want about that.

Question: What triggered Roxas’ separation from the Organization?

Nomura: As he kept having recurring dreams of Sora, someone he didn’t know, he felt he needed to leave the Organization to find out who these people he didn’t know were. As Axel didn’t want him to go, he didn’t tell Sora about Roxas in Castle Oblivion, did he?

Question: In Riku’s ending in Re: Chain of Memories, could you tell us the meaning of the scene where the King and Riku are walking together and Riku suddenly plops down.

Nomura: That’s because Riku realized he couldn’t completely get rid of the Darkness inside of him. The King mentioned in Kingdom Hearts II that as Riku held Xehanort’s Heartless in his heart, he disappeared from the King’s sight. It’s a sort of foreshadowing. In this scene, the King’s face looks worried for a moment because he felt that Riku might eventually no longer be there. Riku headed towards DiZ in order to restore Sora’s memories to normal, but in the end, his departure from the King was so that he wouldn’t show his preparations to use the Darkness.

Question: Could you tell us at what point Riku covered his eyes?

Nomura: When he departed from the King. You don’t know after the scene, but in Riku’s ending in Re: Chain of Memories, when he comes to wherever DiZ is, he’s already covered his eyes.

Question: Please confirm some things about Castle Oblivion. In the additional event “The Truth about the Chamber of Sleep”, you can gather from Xigbar and Zexion’s conversation that Castle Oblivion existed in the Inbetween Realm before the birth of the Organization. The Organization then found it and used it for experiments about memories and to look for the Chamber of Awakening, right?

Nomura: Yes. Since their conversation was about Marluxia’s entry, they discovered the Castle before that. In fact, its use, according to Secret Ansem Report 7, was for only 13 Organization Members. Naminé awoke in Castle Oblivion, but as she and Roxas were born at the same time, half of the Organization moved to the Castle.

Question: In the additional event “To Put an End to Everything”, Sora says “It should have been easy to say thanks to Naminé, but I couldn’t say it”. At this point in time, does Sora remember the things that happened with Naminé?

Nomura: If he remembers, it’s because Naminé’s existence was made possible by Sora, and when Naminé and Roxas return to Kairi and Sora, many things were connected. Since Sora never got to say thanks to Naminé, please think of that as a hint.

Question: In the additional event “Farewell to a Friend”, there’s a scene where Axel tells Roxas “You really do have a heart, don’t you”. What is the actual case here?

Nomura: In this scene, it ends bringing up more mysteries about Roxas, so for the answer, maybe take care to follow your hunches well. It’s also related to Xehanort’s memories, but I can’t give any specifics now.

Question: We’d like to inquire about the new secret movie “Birth By Sleep”. In the new event “The Truth about the Chamber of Sleep”, Xigbar mentions a “group that wields Keyblades”. Is he talking about the 3 armored people in the movie?

Nomura: Yes, Xigbar witnessed them when he was a disciple to Ansem the Wise.

Question: The Lingering Sentiment (Enigmatic Soldier) is the same as the armored youth in the movie, but when he fights Sora he mentions “Aqua” and “Ven”. Are those the names of the other 2?

Nomura: Yes, the blue haired girl is Aqua.

Question: What is the armored youth’s name?

Nomura: His name appeared once in code in the 2006 Tokyo Game Show Promotional Video. Also, Ven is actually a nickname, but his real name is a little bit longer. Sora, Riku, and Kairi’s names can be seen as “Sky, Land, and Sea” respectively. The 3 armored people’s names take the shape of different properties of the world, “Water, Wind, and Earth”.

Statement: Ven looks an awful lot like Roxas…

Nomura: I can’t give any specifics about that. He may just resemble him, and if there is a connection, Sora may be related too. What I can say right now is that these mysteries are all connected to the story.

Question: In the beginning, the armored youth’s eyes are blue, but at the end they change to gold. Is this revealing a change in him?

Nomura: I can’t give specifics about this either… I think everyone’s imaginations are pretty capable so please try and anticipate a lot of things.

   You don’t have to be a member to view the info. Just log on to KH-Vids.net and scroll down. Everything should be there.

   For those Top 5 Videos, you gotta be a member for that. But it’s stiff competition. I only have WMM, everyone else uses Vegas on that site. I downloaded a trial, but I ahd no clue how to use it and it was slowing doen my computer so I got rid of it.

   It seems that the fourteenth member is unknown,it isnt Namine but there is great connections between Aqua and Namine.

   I didnt mean to say that last comment like i knew what the connection is,but as far as this i dont want to do much research on it anymore,what i think the connection is,is that since Aqua has connections to Kairi and Namine also has connections to both Aqua and Namine there must be a connection with the fourteenth org. member.
   I really wonder hwo it is and i wonder who the D.S. is i would laugh my head off if it was a girl too,but probably not.
   Did they say that there was a world olympus coliseum and snow white as a combined world or what?
   Maybe it has to do with the seven princesses or somethin i dunnoe.

   combined?? wow, that would be reeally weird. haha, those two levels would be extremly funny together. you know, im kinda mad becasue if they take time off the origanel KH story and stuff for a couple years, theyre gonna have to get a new cast probably. i mean, they could keep the same ppl, but they might sound wahahaaayy to old to be kids. and i dont want them to make sora and co like 20. at most they should be like 17. hah

   Yeah, by them time KH3 gets started, all the voice actors will be like 20 Years Old, but it’ll be weird without having the original voice actors for the Kingdom Hearts Games.

   By the way, 2 New Worlds just came to me for KH3. Pocohontas and The Lost City of Atlantis. Man, those would make for awesome Kingdom Hearts Worlds.

   Yeah well it seems that kh2 has been out for quite awhile and they probably wont make the characters seem 20 i actually think it will be around 17 and they are making the side stories you know.
   So there will be lots of information.
   I think new worlds are in the side stories too.

    Hey Ven,Aqua and Terra have the same meanings to their names and in the reports Ansem is wondering about the body,soul,and the heart,so seeing as Roxas and Namine woud have to be Sora an Kairis body well the nobody is the body and soul so in order to have a nobody their soul would have to be seperated and that would mean Sora and Kairi would have to be dead but Sora is only the second to have a nobody and stay alive.

    Sora is too young to wield a keyblade too so maybe whn Roxas was made it was Vens body,i remember seeing a scanned picture of Terra carrying Ven who was unconscious,and as far as that goes Ven was dead but was reborn.
    Namine must be a nobody form of Aqua and Kairi and Sora combined from how they were created.
    Any thoughts about it?

    ok so shadow, do you mean that like, when sora became a heartless and stuff, ven was actually his nobody, but then he died or something and was reborn into roxas? if so, thats a good theory. if not, then what????

    Thats sort of what i meant i meant that somehow Roxas simulated the feelings of Sora from when Sora was put to sleep and Roxas came into being somehow which is pretty much the same body as Ven,its either the same body or a reincarnate.
    Well once you think about it,Terras body could have went through similar stages,for all we know the bald guy took the form of his nobody and then he went to the dark realm and had been formed as a heartless and nobody,thus somehow letting him keep a heart.
    I have a feeling that since Namine isnt the fourteenth member,i think that Aqua is the fourteenth member except sh has became a nobody.
    So i think that since Namines a witch its similar to how Xemnas was created.Well besides that does anyone have an idea of who the D.S. is?
    In one of the trailer descriptions what was it that Terra said to master Xehanort?

    thanks. i saw some pics on youtube and it looks sooooo sweet!! haha, ven looks exactly like a younger verison of roxas. and terras pants creep me out. . why dont they have aqua in the pics?

    anyway, i heard theyre using the same japanese voice actor that played roxas for ven, i really hope they dont do tat in english cause, i mean, i have nothing against jesse mcartneys voice acting job for roxas, i think it fits well, but it wont fit too well for ven in my opinion. they are two different people anyway and the fact that ven looks younger (by only like a year though)than roxas, and jesse mcartneys older now…any opinions on that?

    Well im not sure where ace is and i was just waiting for someone else to comment.
    Now Terra,Aqua and Ven are the three characters in the secret ending aqua is the one that grabs king mickeys dark keyblade,Terra grabs the light kingdom key and Ven grabs Way to The Dawn which is the transformed form of Soul Eater,in kh2 fm secret ending Vens keyblade is busted,these three characters had two keyblades one of each person was without a keyblade master xehanort is the bald man and his keyblade had a keychain there is only four-five keyblades with keychains in the ending.
    Ven looks exactly like Roxas and has similar clothes Terra looks like Xehanort,ansem,Xemnas etc.
    The bald mans clothes were the same as the impersonated ansems clothes the bald man formed a dark soldier which had dark armor like dark riku,he had a helmet which concealed his face.
    The dark soldier already had a keyblade when he was formed and bald xehanort didnt yet.
    In a scene with Xemnas Xemnas is talking to Aquas armor supposedly,he calls it friend and there is now a fourteenth org. member they are female and not Namine.
    There is three new handheld kh games coming soon.

    haha, i just bought the first book in the KH2 manga series, it was SWEET! now im all excited to find out everything about birth by sleep!! i was talkin to my friend the other day, and i was showin her the screenshots from BBS and when it came to the picture of ven, and she was like “hey, roxas looks awesome there” and im like “AHHHH no!! thats not roxas!!!! THATS VEN!!!” thats one of my major pet peaves….

    Hey guys, I got this feeling that Xemnas came from Terra because of the scene where Terra saw the kingdom hearts,Terra’s eyes became yellow which is the same color of Xemnas’ eyes. Besides their hair is also alike but Xemnas’ hair is a bit longer. .
    And Nomura also mentioned that the story of the 3 chasers/soldiers(Terra, Ven , Aqua) and The bald man’s(Xehanort) story began before kh1. .

    The same with Roxas I think He came from Sora w/ is connected to Ven… I think Terra, Ven, Aqua(1st generation) resembles with Riku, Sora, Kairi(2nd generation)

    And I also predict that the 14th member of the Org.Members is Aqua, that’s why the org. member in the trailer(who I think is Xemnas) is talking to the armor(Aqua’s) saying that it his friend because Aqua joined them and look it looks like it ended up that Terra, Ven, Aqua is in the org. 13 members(Xemnas-Terra, Roxas- Ven, Aqua)..

    Yellow Eyes don’t really imply anything. Ansem, Ansem the Wise, Xemnas, and Saix all have yellow eyes. It’s the fact his eyes changed from Blue to Yellow is the issue which is strange because Xehanort doesn’t even have yellow eyes. It’s particularly interesting how he doesn’t have yellow eyes, but his Heartless and Nobody do.

    The rest sounds about right. The events of Birth By Sleep happen before Kingdom Hearts 1, but I really would like to know the story of Ven and Roxas. They have to be the same person. I still stick to the theory that Ven was actually Roxas born again as a Nobody, but since Sora was a Heartless for a short time, his memories weren’t fully brought back tenfold. I’m real interested in hearing this explanation.

    The Aqua reason sounds right. In my opinion. It’s the only logical reason. The Underground Laboratory, Xemnas and the “It’s been a while old friend” scene, and all of a sudden there’s a 14th Member. It does all add up. But I wanna know what happened. I mean there was no mention of her until now. Something big must’ve happened to erase any history she had with the organization.

    I also believe that Roxas is a nobody reincarnation of Ven..

    I think they are related to one another as 1 because the light of their hearts are the same..

    And I’ve got this idea that Terra is called as an enigmatic soldier cause maybe the changing of the color of his eyes is a sign that he is transforming to a nobody when he saw the kingdom hearts…

    Yeah,but if they had a fourteenth member of the org. in kh2 im guessing it should be the same time then what the heck?
    It seems that none of the org. is dead.
    Okay ive put some thought in the Xehanort eye color thing,It seems to me that since Xehanort had blue eyes and Xemnas and Ansem had yellow eyes is because Xehanort was just the name he remembered or he went into berserk form or something but besides that i dont think that whoever they called Xehanort was Xehanort i think that when he turned into Ansem he was master xehanort and the D.S. hwoever that person is i believe it will remain a mystery but i still have a feeling it has to do with Axel.
    when Xemnas was created it was a form of Terra and master Xehanort combined but somehow Xemnas had no heart.
    I think that ansem was another and Xemnas was no heart,due to Sora beating Ansem he died and then it made Xemnas still the same body as Xehanort hwo i believe might actually be Terra but im not sure.

    when Terra was overcome by Xehanort he was left in radiant garden showing the connection with Kairi due to her living in that castle and the fact that shes a princess i think Aqua has a related connection but not a mother relation.
    So i believe that the dark soldier went off in search of another person to overcome and take the body of just as master Xehanort did.
    I am guessing they messed with Aqua to get her turned into a nobody and be part of the org. somehow.
    So im pretty much going to wait for the games to come out its just too complicated.

    wow. tooooo many theories!!!! ok, the way i see it is like, ven and roxas are probably connected in the way everyone says they are, with like the same person but like, not. haha. i have no clue who the 14th organization member could be. terra i dont think is xemnas but i could be wrong about that. ahhhhhhh. kingdom hearts has to have the most confusing plot ever created in a video game.

    Well it seems i havent seen many screenshots of Aqua either.
    I think theres a certain reason it doesnt let us see many screenshots of her.
    So for all we know Aqua was probably turned into a nobody.

    Maybe Aqua plays a big role in the game, and hasn’t been revealed yet because of it, or something. She may even be the 14th Organization Member. I’m really itching to find out who the Dark Soldier is.

    Yeah im really wondering who the dark soldieris too,maybe it was a heartless form of:the ones i think are suspects-Axel,Terra,Xehanorts heartless possibly completely new character.
    Well,Saix and Xigbar know a lot about the dark soldier too im guessing.

    Sora+x=Roxas:Well the reason they are connected from my opinion is that Axels element is fire,Vens is wind,Terras Earth,and Aqua is water.
    So i believe that since his possibility of being the fourth chaser,is why he may be connected,Axel is pretty much best friends with Axel which seems to make a big connection.
    So i thik the Dark Soldier has something to do with Axel,and how he became a nobody and so forth.
    Kingdom Hearts has a great story to it.

    ok, this i jut something my friend pointed out to me, i doubt it will be true but its a possibility. ok, axel could be rikus nobody, because one e neevr really fid out whos nobody he is and two, when axel is like, tryin to get roxas to remember him, and he starts a fight, he’s like “come on, just like the good old days” which could be pointing to riku and sra duelig on the islands. thouh that could also mean that those two fought eachothertoo….awkward…..ok yeah. any opinions? thats just a fan theory.

    KHfan:Well that does seem quite logical as you can see Roxas is like Ven,Xehanort,Xemnas,Ansem etc. each look like Terra,Riku has the same facial looks as Riku just as Sora doe with Roxas.
    So maybe Axel is the fourth chaser but at the same time somehow not.
    Cause if Ven is Roxas and was allowed in what would the difference be in lettin one of the other chasers in from back in the day.
    Now Xemnas is a real wierdo if you ask me how the heck was he even created:Now we notice he has yellow eyes,darkness has clearly overcome his soul and body i mean he has to somehow be someones body right?But whose?
    Now Namine on the other hand just got her name now Namine is blonde and Kairi clearly isnt Roxas is blonde and Sora also clearly isnt sora and so forth cant just grow another body,its too illogical.Now Xehanort has grey hair and Terra has reddish brownish,(but in some screenshots looked black)So for all we know the Xehanort Ansems apprentice still could be the same body as Terra.
    Also Axel has red hair makeup around his eyes and Riku has white hair and so forth.
    But theres probably a big part of the story thats still more confusing.This theory will continue later.

    Okay there was some flaws in my last theory i meant Sora cant just grow another body its too illogical.
    It seems that they called Xehanort,Master Xehanort.
    Terra avenged him now how could this be and someone did take the name Xehanort and so if Xehanort was beaten so badly who could have done it,Now in my opinion the bald Xehanort isnt exactly Xehanort either now come to think of it the org. kept human form and they had to have kept memories they remembered of the past keyblade wielders in fact now when they were apprentices they never recieved their keyblades during that time.
    Namine had everyones memories already when Sora was put asleep,now if Aqua may actually be the 14th org. member but she would have to be a nobody for that.
    Why did Namine even want to swipe Soras memory in he first place.
    Now as for everyone else theyd forgotten Sora and co. but when Sora woke up he could remember everything even Yuffie and so forth but it seems to me that everyone forgot him because he didnt have his memory he was gaining it back as Roxas form but Roxas was also himself seperate another person in fact Ven but had no idea people had suddenly been forgetting a bunch of stuff.
    Does anyone have any thoughts about all this??

    Okay im correcting more errors from my last theory i meant that if they let Roxas in org. they could also put another chaser from back then into org. so some of Xehanorts ideas of being evil went away somewhere like he made friends with Roxas as in its half of Sora and Ven so that would be like making friends with Sora but he didnt make friends with him so why does he wan so many nobodies to help him there should be way more nobodies cause of all the heartless the body would have to become a nobody human form seeing as there was so many keyblade wielders.

    Ansem doesn’t have a Nobody. At least I don’t think so. Ansem the Wise isn’t like Sora and Xehanort. He can’t become whole again after becoming a Heartless and having a Nobody. Ansem as in Xehanort’s Heartless, can’t have a Nobody either. I don’t think it’s possible for a Heartless to have a Nobody. Heartless do lack “Hearts” after all. Can’t have a Nobody without a Heart. There’s no explanation as to why Xehanort’s Heartless and Nobody have no name connection Xehanort. I would assume No Heart would be equal to Ansem. Since he’s a Heartless and they lack Hearts while Xemnas could be his nobody relating to another. When you look at it, Xemnas looks a lot more like Xehanort than Ansem does.

    Well i do not think that Ansem has a nobody of his own but he does have a nobody,His nobody is Xemnas that is why his name is rearranged like that,Ansem+X=Xemnas.
    But he took his name for a reason didnt he or did he just take it he could have just kept his original name.
    Now come to think of it the bald man is Master Xehanort i believe he was a master maybe like Ansem the Wise,but anyways Xehanort only remembered Xehanort,he would obviously have to still know the basics to live now once you think about it Terra said all he had left was his spirit,so how could that have happened,now we really dont know whether the Sora and Terra battle was in the past or not,So if Terra is the avenger of Xehanort and not yet awakened he would have to be put asleep for some reason so was he put to sleep to avenge someone or anything?
    So Sora lost his memory due to Namine having that power so how would Xehanort only be able to remember Xehanort?
    Ven somehow had Roxas formed in his form when Sora was at castle oblivion and couldnt remember anything thats when Roxas and Namine showed up now before i continue,i would like to ask if anyone here has played kh chain of memories?

    Okay how the hell did they come up with something so awesome but yet so freakin confusing?
    I mean really,KH is probably like the most confusing videogame in the world.
    I mean really,we should probably talk more on the simple things of the game the story will probably be better if thats done so will the game.
    So what im really wondering is when these three games come out im not sure but i think the order of the games is 358/2 days,coded then birth by sleep.
    I also heard that there has been commercials for these three games.
    They should have the Corpse Bride in the videogame too as well as nightmare before Christmas does anyone think it will be in the game?
    Now theres already a release date in Japan so youd think someone would be able to figure the release dates there still instead of releasing no news,oh well.

    i really dont understand the whole xemnas ansem xehanort deal. haha, possibly this will be answered in KH3? that or it was answered in KH2 and i wasnt paying attention

    Hey I got another theory..
    Right there is a part in the beggining of kh2 that there are 2 org. members chatting w/ each other in that dark island? That was Xemnas and Roxas right??
    Xemnas said to Roxas ” You look like him a lot” or something like that, I think Terra is a part of Xemnas and Roxas is a part of Ven…
    Maybe Xemnas’ also got Terra’s memories and Roxas got Ven’s and a little of Sora’s….
    Maybe Xemnas remembered Ven when he saw Roxas..
    Right nobodies are the reincarnated form of those who died??
    Terra died also Ven died… Right? The Birth by Sleep is said to be the past.. It happened before KH1…. If you saw the scan of birth by sleep there is a scan there where Terra is carrying Ven saying to Master Xehanort: ” What did you do with his heart? “, looks like that scene is when Ven died…

    And in 358/2 days, maybe the girl who joined them is the nobody of Aqua…
