TheWertle has struck again! This time with an excellent interview with Tetsuya Nomura from Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+ Ultimania called “Scenario Mysteries”, in which he confirms the Enigmatic Soldier’s name as Terra!

In Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+, many mysteries are answered but many new mysteries are also born.

In this version, things relating to additional scenes are included, but during the story there are some questions that pop up, so we’ll see if Nomura can point us in the right direction.

Question: In the original Kingdom Hearts, the King searches for a Keyblade in the Realm of Darkness, but when he meets Ansem the Wise, is the Realm of Light Keyblade he has the one that Sora is currently using?

Nomura: No. The King has the ability to use Keyblades from both the Realms of Darkness and of Light. This is an important point - There isn’t just one Keyblade from each world, but just as many as there are people with qualified hearts.

Question: During the meetings, the members of Organization XIII are sitting in chairs. Is the height of these chairs determined by things like their skills and abilities?

Nomura: No. The height of the chairs is not fixated - They move. That is to say that the height is up to each person. The leader, Xemnas, is always the highest, and to be at the same height as him would give that member a pretty bad feeling, so the other members wouldn’t do that. *Laughs*

Question: At the end of Sora and Riku’s stories in Re: Chain of Memories, Roxas looks back while Hayner and the rest are walking and eating ice-cream, and without seeming to care, Hayner and the others continue walking. Is this because they can’t see Roxas?

Nomura: Well it’s just because they don’t know Roxas that they don’t notice him, not because they can’t see him. At that time, right after Xemnas explains Roxas’ name, Axel says to leave things to him. Then, Roxas seems jealous of how Hayner and the others are enjoying themselves while eating ice-cream, and Axel interprets this as him wanting some ice-cream, so he is obliged to go buy him some.

Question: In the real Twilight Town, didn’t Roxas cross paths with Hayner and the others and make aquaintances with them?

Nomura: I suppose. You can think whatever you want about that.

Question: What triggered Roxas’ separation from the Organization?

Nomura: As he kept having recurring dreams of Sora, someone he didn’t know, he felt he needed to leave the Organization to find out who these people he didn’t know were. As Axel didn’t want him to go, he didn’t tell Sora about Roxas in Castle Oblivion, did he?

Question: In Riku’s ending in Re: Chain of Memories, could you tell us the meaning of the scene where the King and Riku are walking together and Riku suddenly plops down.

Nomura: That’s because Riku realized he couldn’t completely get rid of the Darkness inside of him. The King mentioned in Kingdom Hearts II that as Riku held Xehanort’s Heartless in his heart, he disappeared from the King’s sight. It’s a sort of foreshadowing. In this scene, the King’s face looks worried for a moment because he felt that Riku might eventually no longer be there. Riku headed towards DiZ in order to restore Sora’s memories to normal, but in the end, his departure from the King was so that he wouldn’t show his preparations to use the Darkness.

Question: Could you tell us at what point Riku covered his eyes?

Nomura: When he departed from the King. You don’t know after the scene, but in Riku’s ending in Re: Chain of Memories, when he comes to wherever DiZ is, he’s already covered his eyes.

Question: Please confirm some things about Castle Oblivion. In the additional event “The Truth about the Chamber of Sleep”, you can gather from Xigbar and Zexion’s conversation that Castle Oblivion existed in the Inbetween Realm before the birth of the Organization. The Organization then found it and used it for experiments about memories and to look for the Chamber of Awakening, right?

Nomura: Yes. Since their conversation was about Marluxia’s entry, they discovered the Castle before that. In fact, its use, according to Secret Ansem Report 7, was for only 13 Organization Members. Naminé awoke in Castle Oblivion, but as she and Roxas were born at the same time, half of the Organization moved to the Castle.

Question: In the additional event “To Put an End to Everything”, Sora says “It should have been easy to say thanks to Naminé, but I couldn’t say it”. At this point in time, does Sora remember the things that happened with Naminé?

Nomura: If he remembers, it’s because Naminé’s existence was made possible by Sora, and when Naminé and Roxas return to Kairi and Sora, many things were connected. Since Sora never got to say thanks to Naminé, please think of that as a hint.

Question: In the additional event “Farewell to a Friend”, there’s a scene where Axel tells Roxas “You really do have a heart, don’t you”. What is the actual case here?

Nomura: In this scene, it ends bringing up more mysteries about Roxas, so for the answer, maybe take care to follow your hunches well. It’s also related to Xehanort’s memories, but I can’t give any specifics now.

Question: We’d like to inquire about the new secret movie “Birth By Sleep”. In the new event “The Truth about the Chamber of Sleep”, Xigbar mentions a “group that wields Keyblades”. Is he talking about the 3 armored people in the movie?

Nomura: Yes, Xigbar witnessed them when he was a disciple to Ansem the Wise.

Question: The Lingering Sentiment (Enigmatic Soldier) is the same as the armored youth in the movie, but when he fights Sora he mentions “Aqua” and “Ven”. Are those the names of the other 2?

Nomura: Yes, the blue haired girl is Aqua.

Question: What is the armored youth’s name?

Nomura: His name appeared once in code in the 2006 Tokyo Game Show Promotional Video. Also, Ven is actually a nickname, but his real name is a little bit longer. Sora, Riku, and Kairi’s names can be seen as “Sky, Land, and Sea” respectively. The 3 armored people’s names take the shape of different properties of the world, “Water, Wind, and Earth”.

Statement: Ven looks an awful lot like Roxas…

Nomura: I can’t give any specifics about that. He may just resemble him, and if there is a connection, Sora may be related too. What I can say right now is that these mysteries are all connected to the story.

Question: In the beginning, the armored youth’s eyes are blue, but at the end they change to gold. Is this revealing a change in him?

Nomura: I can’t give specifics about this either… I think everyone’s imaginations are pretty capable so please try and anticipate a lot of things.

if he was talking to roxas, then he could have been talking about ven. i mean, they look very simalar. even still though, if you gave me a picture of ven and roxas and it was just their heads like, you couldnt see what they are wearing,i could probably pick out the correct ones. there is a slight difference in the way they look. just sayin. i dont really think sora and roxas look alike. it may just be the hair though.

Okay so whoever has played kh:com and beaten it how was Roxas’ first appearance exactly how did it happen?
Cause if he was created in castle oblivion,castle oblivion has something to do with Ven,Terra and so forth.
Well i actually agree that the fourteenth org. member is Aquas nobody.
The Gathering place is most likely in the inbetween realm just as castle oblivion is.

When Xemnas tell Roxas, “I’ve been to see him. He looks a lot like you.” The first thing that comes to mind is when Xemnas fights Sora in KH: Final Mix. So, my guess is that he’s referring to Roxas. Roxas and Sora do look alike, but by eyes in my view. Anybody else but me notice that Ven is wearing the same wristband as Roxas had in KH2?

yeah but roxas’ wristband is black with white squares and ven’s is white with black squares. like it makes a difference though. haha. yeah i wondered about that.

so, like, for the japanese version, they’re getting the same voice actor that played roxas for ven, does anybody want to see jesse mcartney play ven? i personally dont think that his voice will fit ven because i personally think ven looks a wee bit younger then roxas, so like, jesse mcartneys like 20. yeah.

I have a theory!
Maybe when Xemnas was created he got the form of Terra and Terra’s memories that’s why in the part when he said to Roxas he looked a like someone he is referring to Ven because he still remembers him,
Same in the part when the armor of Aqua is there he directed it as his friend Maybe he remembers it too.. Or maybe it is still Xehanort’s memories.. But I have a strong feeling that it is Terra..

There aren’t that many nobodies because other heartless beings didn’t have that much of a strong will to become one. Which is why experiments were done. Sure there could of been more of them, but then again there are only 13 seats, so where would others sit? The seats were meant for 13 individuals. There are more nobodies if you count the Assassins, beserkers, creepers, dancers, dragoons, Dusks, gamblers, samurais, snipers, and sorcerers. Some of those nobodies were chosen to be controlled by certain members in the organization the members who didn’t betray the organization, perhaps it could be a distraction so that the member doesn’t think of it in Xenmas mind.

Perhaps Terra or Ven has some relation to them who knows.

With the two Organization members on the island talking with each other. Are you sure that the other Organization member was Roxas? You can’t really tell when they have those hoods on that easily. He looks a little too tall to be Roxas. I have seen that scene so many times and I don’t think it is Roxas since he is the second shortest member besides Zenion, (but it wouldn’t be him since he is gone) of the organization. If it was meant to be Roxas then they forgot that he supposed to be shorter.

Organization Fan, who else could it be? Xemnas asked Roxas what his true name was? You didn’t hear Roxas speak, but it was clearly Xemnas he was talking to him because of the voice. The scene kind of retold itself in KH2 Final Mix when Xemnas gave Roxas his name. My guess, his true name is Ven.

He even repeats it in the video link I posted. “He looks like you.” I assume he meant Sora looking Roxas. Although, he could be referring to Ven since Nomura says Xemnas had a connection with the knights.

Organization fan:I already knew all that you said…
You know how there was so many keyblades and so many wielded in the past, well what happened to all the wielders in the past did they just die or what they would have gotten nobodies wouldn’t they?
Also yes i believe that Xemnas when he said he looks just like you is that he was referring to Ven, Besides Ven and Roxas have enough of a connection already for it to have something to do with Ven.

Um I just thought you should know something about that fight with Sora that shows you that Xemnas was talking to about Sora when he was talking to Roxas on the Beach. In the Enigmatic Man Boss battle in KH1 FM this is what is said before the Boss fight:

Sora: “Who are you?”

Xemnas: “Ah…it seems you are special too.”

Goofy: “Ansem?”

Xemnas: “That’s a familiar sound.”

Xemnas: “You look just like him.”

Sora: “What’s that suppose to mean?”

Xemnas: “It means your not complete.”

Xemnas: “Incomplete one”

Xemnas: “That power”

Xemnas: “Allow me to test your power.”

Now Xemnas is obviously speaking about Roxas when he is talking to Sora here. Then in the beach scene, which Nomura has confirmed that that was Roxas on the in Deep Dive, Xemnas talks to Roxas.

Xemnas: “He looks just like you.”

he could be talking about sora. but like, “he looks alot like you”. ven obviously looks more like roxas then sora does, but i recently started a new game in KH2 and in hollow bastion, when uhhhhh….. the one organization member who im not sure it is is talking to sora and hes like, “he used to give me that same exact look.” he has to be talking about roxas….or does he?

Now I have something I have been thinking about for a while. When I was watching Deep Dive I noticed several little things that don’t make sense. Now generally when the numbers appear on screen they are accompanied by a phrase. Now I’m sure most of the phrases are stuff they put in the game that came from different points in the game or were changed during a script rewrite, but essentially mean the same thing. However some interesting things did pop out at me and when you read these they may pop out at you too.

XIII: [Where's Sora?] [We must find him.]

12: [Ansem's other report] “A creation born of ignorance”

11: Behind the darkness = Door to Light (there should be a / through the =)

X: The Secret Place “His voice…It’s left me” “This time…I’ll fight.”

9: A world between = Forgotten world The gathering (Now this popped out me because the name of the secret video in Kingdom Hearts is titled “The Gathering”)

VIII: The Third Enemy = Nobody “Who is Nobody you ask? They are the nonexistence.” (Why are they referred to as the Third Enemy?)

VII: ENDLESS “What took you so long, Kairi?” “Can we we do it? Against that?”

Heartless “We have come for you, my liege.” “You are the source of all Heartless.” (No it’s not a mistake this phrase appeared they way the others do just without a number.)

6: [The Thirteenth Order] Metamorphosis “Sora?” “Sora…Why?” “Your Highness! But why?”

5: Change The Third Key (The Third Key?)

4: End of the World “What is this place?” “Is this the answer you’ve been looking for?” “This is the world in it’s true form.” “Maybe our journey meant nothing after all?”

I could swear I brought up the same story a while ago. Oh well. The only thing that sounds familiar is

“This time, I’ll fight.” Kairi said that when Riku gave her that Flower Keyblade.

“Your Highness, but why?” Didn’t Sora say that to King Mickey when he refused to tell him Riku’s whereabouts, or is that just me?

“A Creation born of ignorance.” Has to be referring to Xehanort.

“What took you so long Kairi?” I swear I heard that in KH2. Ir came from one of the Organization Members, but I know I heard it in KH2.

Paradise. “We’ll go together.” Well, at the end of KH2, when the Door to Light was revealed, Sora turned to Riku and said, “We’ll go together.” That Paradise has to be referring to Destiny Islands where The Door to Light led them.

Now about these:

“We have come for you my liege.” You are the source of all Heartless.”

Liege means a Lord entitled to some allegiance and service. So my guess is somebody, or something came after Xehanort/Ansem. Xehanort created the artificial Heartless, and Ansem was like the King of the Heartless, or something. My question is how did Maleficent become so controlling over them? Did she and Ansem make some kind of deal? In the end, they both wanted the Keyblade.

Thirteenth Order - Japenese way to mention Organization XIII.

Metamorphosis - I’ve been wanting to know this one myself.

Change. The Third Key? The Third Key has to refer to either Riku’s Way to Dawn or that Keyblade Kairi had. If not, then what Key was it referring to?

The rest of the quotes are up in the air for me. Anybody got any ideas?

I’m know some of those lines were in the actual game and I pretty sure some of the other were taken out in script rewrites. It just makes you think. Could some of this have to do with future games? Well Nomura originally said that he didn’t know if he was going to make a sequal or not when he made the first secret videos. So some of it might be used in another game.

Oh come on how can he not make another game? Kindgom Hearts franise is very popular. With the two games, manga, art books, fan art, etc youtube. It was very popular at an convention center I went to in July in Long Beach California. People would dress up as many of the characters. It was really interesting how some of those costumes are elebrate and how well people would change or style their hair and make the weapons. They were die hard fans.

Never played Kingdom Hearts except at DisneyLand arcade. So don’t know much about Malificient role in this. In KH2 seems that Pete and Malificient have control over the heartless (it may be Hades doing not really sure) and also wanted the control over Castle Oblivion. It was some kind of deal, but I can’t remember it.

Sorry I wouldn’t know much about KH2 FM except through youtube. But you right that it was Roxas and Xemnas talking. Though it is kind of interesting how Roxas would easily betray the organization looking for answers yet, Xemnas was talking to him on the beach about Sora you would think that Roxas could of put two and two together. hence the dreams he had.

Okay well i know that metamorphosis is transform but i didn’t know it was the latin word for transform.
Go to dictionary.com and search metamorphosis it may give some ideas to figure it out.
I’m guessing that in the story it has to do with some kind of magic.
Also on Meta, Meta philosophy that seems strange too, although i wouldn’t know much about that, it’s probably not a big deal.

Ace,you did bring up deep dive awhile ago in this section.
I think the Third key has to do with the Third Enemy and so there is a third enemy, havent we already went against three enemies in the games?

Organization fan: Deep Dive is the secret video found on Kingdom Hearts 1 Final Mix. It’s the continuation of Another Side, Another Story, which is the secret video at the end of Kingdom Hearts 1.

There may not be many Aqua screen shots because

1.the game is still in development and they are being secretive about releasing information.

2.She may only be a side character for now.

Oh yeah I rember seeing a video of Roxas fighting Riku. Which reminds me why was he fighting him in the first place? I thought he was a traitor to the organization? And then you see Roxas fighting Sora in Kh2 game for no reason either. What gives? I would think it might be an territorial issue, but it may seem more than that.

yeah i never really got the roxas riku fight or the sora roxas fight either. especially the roxas sora fight. didnt roxas get reunited with sora at the beginning of the game? and plus, why is he with organization X111?

Organization fan & KHfan: Roxas & Riku fight occured because DiZ sent Riku to retrieve Roxas so that DiZ could Sora and Roxas reunite. Riku in the end achieves this goal and Roxas is put in the virtual Twilight Town. Now after Roxas reunites with Sora we begin our adventures as Sora in KH2. When we get to a certain point in The World That Never Was Roxas and Sora fight. Now this fight occurs more or less in Sora’s head. It could basically be seen as Roxas testing Sora for the events to come when he reaches the Organization Castle.

kinda changing the subject here, but of course,birth by sleep is going to take place in entirely disney worlds, so does that mean they wont be going anywhere like twilight town, destiny islands, or hollow bastion? well there probably will be some crap with twilight town and destiny islands because there have been screen shots of those places. kinda. but what about hollow bastion? you know what id like to see? terra aqua and ven going there and seeing what it was like before the heartless took over the first time, and perhaps since its been heard that the heartless arent the main antagonists in this because this was before their time, maybe this is when they were first like, formed and the “radient garden” was the first world they attacked. and they can meet the final fantasy posse that lives there. haha. thatd be soo sweet!

Okay you guys G4 has said these three games should be out here by next year and these games will be so awesome i wonder if they will have other character master forms like for Roxas,Riku,Axel,Xigbar and so on.
Now Nomura has confirmed that he may put combination magic spells in one of them or so and he’s going to put more into the high jump move and so on.
Roxas i believe is Ven,Roxas and Sora at the same time i think he’s a being of Sora and Ven,Now the soulless theory is possible i mean have you ever wondered how Xehanort,Namine,Xemnas,Roxas and a few others have formed it is actually quite logical to me.
But Sora and Riku’s hearts are connected as friends of course, and wouldn’t that make him able to wield Way to The Dawn?

Now the fourteenth org. member i would have to say is not Aqua why on earth would he make it so simple,it may be a totally different character.
My question about the furteenth is did Nomura say that the fourteenth has been seen in the game before or anything?
Now Maleficent is another question what was she doing during the times of kh2 and something gives me a feeling that YenSid is going to have a wierd role in the game,but you know the guy kind of freaks me out…
I mean he looks insane and his name is Disney backwards they might as well put Walt in there,just kidding but yeah.:)
If it’s on PS3 they should put some razzle dazzle in kh3 i mean you know how awesome they could make it the guy that said it would be on PS3 said that they would see what they could do with it…

Theory:Okay the Soul Eater has quite an interesting name its like the dark side of Dawn,what i think is that the two words Soul Eater well means to eat souls not for reals though that would be nasty.
Anyways,Terra is earth so his connection goes straight to Riku,Riku i believe has a relation to the bald man and Terra at the same time i think Xehanort might be his grandfather and Rikus dad well thats freakishly Random i mean Rikus connection is with Terra he has the facial look of Riku, Axel is best friends with Roxas when Riku is best friends with Sora the same portal showed up in disney castle by who knows who that showed up when Roxas beat Axel that portal in D.C. lead to Terra so what is Terras real hair color brown black or red certain pictures are just so different.
Anyways,Xehanort looks like Terra the thing is The guy that thought he was Xehanort and may be, had blue eyes when he showed up to the Ansem guys house Xehanort was then possessed by the d.s. you can see proving that the D.S. may have yellow eyes at this time or whatever time period the war took place in. Okay so anyways Xemnas also has yellow eyes and makes comments like anger and hate are supreme and Riku are you sure you’re not jealous of sora what would make him think he would be?
Now think about this why would he think that anger and hate are suprme?
Xemnas has yellow eyes so he may not be Xehanort still and that gave him the name Xemnas but what the heck did he name himself?
The org. has way more history i think.
Now is the darkness still within him is he a nobody of a heartless form of the once Xehanort, i think there is once again some memory loss between their forms so Xehanort wasn’t the one that got the heartless was there a separation between Terra like how Roxas was formed and this may be in relation to the the other half still attached to sora, or something like that,and then it says comes back whenever they touch or something, does anyone know what it says exactly?

Okay Roxas says he will disappear from the world in 151 days right well he may mean that he is going to a different world not that he just poofs and diappears right?
Ansem the wise he had somehow gotten to the dark realm as well and took someoneelses form ith darker skin right?

KH Fan, Final Fantasy Characters being in there would be highly unlikely. Radiant Garden was attacked and renamed Hollow Bastion long after the events of Birth By Sleep. If I remember correctly, Leon said Maleficent inavded their home 9 Years before the events of Kingdom Hearts, and BBS happened 10 Years before the story, so there’s a 1 Year Difference.

Also, they won’t just be visiting Disney Worlds. There were a few pics with Terra and Ven in Radiant Garden, and of course they need to be at The Gathering Place where BBS took place.

Organization Fan, maybe they just have a bigger role for her and pics might spoil it. There has to be some legit reason why she hasn’t been shown yet. We’ve even seen pics of Mickey and the DS.

Shadow, I think by now we know the origin of Roxas, Namine, and Xemnas. Xehanort on the other hand has a mysterious background.

Only Riku could weild The Way To Dawn since he made it. With that, he can control the Darkness in his heart and use it as a weapon.

Maleficent was dead during the beginnings of KH2. Remember? I don’t remember how she was brought back, but she was mostly with Pete the whole time to continue what she couldn’t accomplish in KH1.

I don’t think Parents will be involved. It seems to deep to have somebody’s father, or something as a main character.

The whole Terra/MX/DS/Xehanort thing is confusing. I’ve heard so many theories on it. I have one, but it’s late and I’m tired.

By the way, The 14th Organization memeber maybe very well be Aqua. It’ll be a serious plot twist in the story if it was a new character. Then we’d have to know what she did for her not to be mentioned in The Organization. Aqua would be logical after the whole “Old friend” stuff.

Ace:What i meant by it not being Aqua exactly is that it may be her but a different form,she would have to be a nobody but in order to do that she would have to have a heartless right?
Aquas connection is suppost to be with Kairi cause the names not that it has to be a major connection but the thing is it doesn’t make much sense when you get right down to it,They say that no matter what there is darkness where there is light,right?
I mean Aqua was wielding the dark kingdom key so was it a switch or something or what cause now we have mickey wielding it,Sora’s wielding the light kingdom key and Riku is wielding the Way to The Dawn which Ven was wielding,You do not know whether Riku made Way to The Dawn or not because Riku could wield Sora’s keyblade then he had gotten the Soul Eater and Soul Eater is the weapon that transformed into Way to The Dawn right?
Just because Riku can wield it doesn’t mean he created it…
Now Aqua obviously is to be the fourteenth org. member but she had to become a nobody somehow,how?
