Scenario Mysteries Interview
TheWertle has struck again! This time with an excellent interview with Tetsuya Nomura from Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+ Ultimania called “Scenario Mysteries”, in which he confirms the Enigmatic Soldier’s name as Terra!
In Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+, many mysteries are answered but many new mysteries are also born.
In this version, things relating to additional scenes are included, but during the story there are some questions that pop up, so we’ll see if Nomura can point us in the right direction.
Question: In the original Kingdom Hearts, the King searches for a Keyblade in the Realm of Darkness, but when he meets Ansem the Wise, is the Realm of Light Keyblade he has the one that Sora is currently using?
Nomura: No. The King has the ability to use Keyblades from both the Realms of Darkness and of Light. This is an important point - There isn’t just one Keyblade from each world, but just as many as there are people with qualified hearts.
Question: During the meetings, the members of Organization XIII are sitting in chairs. Is the height of these chairs determined by things like their skills and abilities?
Nomura: No. The height of the chairs is not fixated - They move. That is to say that the height is up to each person. The leader, Xemnas, is always the highest, and to be at the same height as him would give that member a pretty bad feeling, so the other members wouldn’t do that. *Laughs*
Question: At the end of Sora and Riku’s stories in Re: Chain of Memories, Roxas looks back while Hayner and the rest are walking and eating ice-cream, and without seeming to care, Hayner and the others continue walking. Is this because they can’t see Roxas?
Nomura: Well it’s just because they don’t know Roxas that they don’t notice him, not because they can’t see him. At that time, right after Xemnas explains Roxas’ name, Axel says to leave things to him. Then, Roxas seems jealous of how Hayner and the others are enjoying themselves while eating ice-cream, and Axel interprets this as him wanting some ice-cream, so he is obliged to go buy him some.
Question: In the real Twilight Town, didn’t Roxas cross paths with Hayner and the others and make aquaintances with them?
Nomura: I suppose. You can think whatever you want about that.
Question: What triggered Roxas’ separation from the Organization?
Nomura: As he kept having recurring dreams of Sora, someone he didn’t know, he felt he needed to leave the Organization to find out who these people he didn’t know were. As Axel didn’t want him to go, he didn’t tell Sora about Roxas in Castle Oblivion, did he?
Question: In Riku’s ending in Re: Chain of Memories, could you tell us the meaning of the scene where the King and Riku are walking together and Riku suddenly plops down.
Nomura: That’s because Riku realized he couldn’t completely get rid of the Darkness inside of him. The King mentioned in Kingdom Hearts II that as Riku held Xehanort’s Heartless in his heart, he disappeared from the King’s sight. It’s a sort of foreshadowing. In this scene, the King’s face looks worried for a moment because he felt that Riku might eventually no longer be there. Riku headed towards DiZ in order to restore Sora’s memories to normal, but in the end, his departure from the King was so that he wouldn’t show his preparations to use the Darkness.
Question: Could you tell us at what point Riku covered his eyes?
Nomura: When he departed from the King. You don’t know after the scene, but in Riku’s ending in Re: Chain of Memories, when he comes to wherever DiZ is, he’s already covered his eyes.
Question: Please confirm some things about Castle Oblivion. In the additional event “The Truth about the Chamber of Sleep”, you can gather from Xigbar and Zexion’s conversation that Castle Oblivion existed in the Inbetween Realm before the birth of the Organization. The Organization then found it and used it for experiments about memories and to look for the Chamber of Awakening, right?
Nomura: Yes. Since their conversation was about Marluxia’s entry, they discovered the Castle before that. In fact, its use, according to Secret Ansem Report 7, was for only 13 Organization Members. Naminé awoke in Castle Oblivion, but as she and Roxas were born at the same time, half of the Organization moved to the Castle.
Question: In the additional event “To Put an End to Everything”, Sora says “It should have been easy to say thanks to Naminé, but I couldn’t say it”. At this point in time, does Sora remember the things that happened with Naminé?
Nomura: If he remembers, it’s because Naminé’s existence was made possible by Sora, and when Naminé and Roxas return to Kairi and Sora, many things were connected. Since Sora never got to say thanks to Naminé, please think of that as a hint.
Question: In the additional event “Farewell to a Friend”, there’s a scene where Axel tells Roxas “You really do have a heart, don’t you”. What is the actual case here?
Nomura: In this scene, it ends bringing up more mysteries about Roxas, so for the answer, maybe take care to follow your hunches well. It’s also related to Xehanort’s memories, but I can’t give any specifics now.
Question: We’d like to inquire about the new secret movie “Birth By Sleep”. In the new event “The Truth about the Chamber of Sleep”, Xigbar mentions a “group that wields Keyblades”. Is he talking about the 3 armored people in the movie?
Nomura: Yes, Xigbar witnessed them when he was a disciple to Ansem the Wise.
Question: The Lingering Sentiment (Enigmatic Soldier) is the same as the armored youth in the movie, but when he fights Sora he mentions “Aqua” and “Ven”. Are those the names of the other 2?
Nomura: Yes, the blue haired girl is Aqua.
Question: What is the armored youth’s name?
Nomura: His name appeared once in code in the 2006 Tokyo Game Show Promotional Video. Also, Ven is actually a nickname, but his real name is a little bit longer. Sora, Riku, and Kairi’s names can be seen as “Sky, Land, and Sea” respectively. The 3 armored people’s names take the shape of different properties of the world, “Water, Wind, and Earth”.
Statement: Ven looks an awful lot like Roxas…
Nomura: I can’t give any specifics about that. He may just resemble him, and if there is a connection, Sora may be related too. What I can say right now is that these mysteries are all connected to the story.
Question: In the beginning, the armored youth’s eyes are blue, but at the end they change to gold. Is this revealing a change in him?
Nomura: I can’t give specifics about this either… I think everyone’s imaginations are pretty capable so please try and anticipate a lot of things.

Ace,thanks for agreeing.
But if ansem did 1-8 how could that be if you read report 12 it says i have not taken the form of a heartless i am different from the other heartless.
It said much more,also if you are going to read the original ansem reports of khinsider i suggest you go to my link of comment 1045,since they changed the ansem reports there but if we read the changed ones which help better to figure the story
and the real ones i think we can piece the story together and so on.
I really think finding out about the story is going to be a lot easier now.
Also i am really starting to wonder about sora wielding the keyblade they said he was too young but we do not know the exact age of ven and also kairi is just as young…
I will soon put my improved theory up.

Thimien, I believe that Shadow, Diz and I back up the theories we come up with. That’s why they’re theories. We think about the past games, and draw up conclusions about what we think the next story is about and how to combine it with the situations and events of Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2.
Shadow, I do believe the machine at the End of the World is where Xehanort created the Artifical Heartless. As far as the Ansem Reports go, I’m gonna take a long shot and say Xehanort wrote 1-8, and Ansem the Wise wrote the rest. Because Ansem Report #13 from Kingdom Hearts Final Mix talks about the birth of Nobodies, and I don’t think Xehanort had any knowledge of Nobodies because he spent his time stuyding the Heartless. It’s kinda funny because in the Kingdom Hearts Teaser at the end of Kingdom Hearts 2, 13 Ansem Reports flashed across the screen. Either it was the 13 from Kingdom Hearts, or the 13 from Kingdom Hearts 2, one would assume that because of, “The Keyblade is said to hold phenomenal power. One Legend says its weilder saved the world while another says he brought chaos and ruin upon it. “I must know what this Keyblade is.” A Key Opens Doors.” The Reports were from Kingdom Hearts, but who knows. By the way, what did you mean about Ansem? What did he mean when he said what?
Something got me puzzled. Leon said to Sora in Kingdom Hearts, “Why, why would it choose a kid like you?” Why did the Keyblade choose a kid. Sora was only 14-15 when he got it. Why didn’t it choose an older person? Was Sora’s the strongest heart at the time?

Ansems(heartless) skin is darker then Xemnas but when he walks in on ansem the wises conversation with mickey his skin is lighter meaning it might be Xemnas faking hes ansem.
Strange i wonder why he was faking and what the connection is with the knights and Xemnas,not xehanort since nomura said thats the connection and Diz seemed to have darker skin around the mouth so that could mean somehow he took someones form to get the heck out of darkness and ended up in the world that never was with that machine cause somehow he may have got through the realm of darkness and was at the end of the world and took that machine…Any ideas about this anyone?

Hey was rikus keyblade in kh1 where you fight him as ansem the heartless was his keyblade artificial cause that seems interesting maybe it is possible for artificial keyblades.
Hey i found descriptions of the org. and Axels was Odoru hi no Kaze and that is really interesting because hi means light in japanese and Kaze means wind and since Ven(roxas) made axel feel like he had a heart it could be that through light he made axel feel that way maybe Kaze is part of vens name!

Also the fact that in the ansem reports it said there is four worlds probably the paths of kh the present world that i had brought up as a path in kh but its one you dont really choose you choose either darkness,light or inbetween…
It has also been said by Nomura that roxas has a heart i will soon be putting links in my name to support this theory and prove it.

Well here is a few things that back up my theory…
The fact is IF Ven had died shortly after being frozen he would have died and his heart would just go to kh.He was not overcome by darkness so much as to make a heartless,riku had also wielded way to the dawn he must have went that path too,but you see.
Anyways he was frozen and passed his spirit on to sora how could he have done that,UNLESS…His soul body was asleep in castle oblivion where it is said ven is and they used experimentation to get his spirit in sora cause otherwise if roxas has a heart and only passed on his spirit it must have been his soul body that was in kh2 and if they each keep the memories of eachother,then since its been said even by axel that roxas has a heart and,and the reason roxas had no memory of the org. or anything its just that sora got his memories messed with earlier why would he just pass his spirit on to sora if his spirit was going to create a nobody in the first place if it was so he died he had to have done some type of experimentation to pass his spirit on to him before that.
Otherwise he would not have lived at all probably he would have aged cause he was frozen he was also still alive so if roxas has a heart then ven is still alive…Also that means that Ven was the one in kh2 but only his spirit was returned to sora and it doesnt matter if its roxas and not ven because they share the same memory…So now Ven is probably somewhere asleep or still around as a heartless human form somewhere…But if roxas is ven in kh2 and he has a heart he is going to need a spirit in order to be a nobody i mean he would have been a heartless so then he must have been hwole so he must be a heartless human form of the light now…

Well thimien,I have backed up my theory…Quite a lot actually but i guess i will try to make it more understandable in a later comment.
Ace,you know how it said that ansem had made a machine that creates artificial heartless in report 8 if it is said that xehanort took his name and continued the reports then how is it that in the next report it says i got a visit from king mickey and had conversation if ansem wrote 8 how did he not write 9?
Also if ansem(xehanort) built the machine at the end of the world and it said come back to eternal darkness and all that then hwo was ansem the heartless referring to?

the only thing im saying is i backed up my theory with facts from the game and interviews… and now shadow says Ven was frozen in time… how can you back something like that up???
i just have a normal theory… thats all… and in nearly everything i post, i back it up… im not saying im sure his a nobody, but facts in front of me, it may be a possability.
If you have a heart.. you can dive into darkness and and a nobody is created.. and with all the things that have been said in game and interviews i came up with that theory… i just think if it is a conincedence, then fair enough… but honestly… if i had to link this theory to the secret video… id say… i see a bald man with his “heartless”… so where the hell is his nobody. I just have a strage feeling Xehanort was not the bad guy to start with, and Xemnas reactions in kh2 tell me that as well.. since he carries Xehanorts memories with him.

Well its said that Ven and aqua are in castle oblivion i mean if he passed his spirit on to sora and if he was frozen and died shortly after then what became of his heart because now that roxas has returned to sora then how is Ven in castle oblivion because it is said they are also there with aqua i am not sure what to say about terra cause terra is not yet awakened.
Also if ven died shortly after he would have just died and went to kingdom hearts because he never even had darkness overcome him or make a heartless or anything if he did have a spirit form as a nobody it would just come not be as soras nobody wouldnt ya think?

How did it happen that roxas ocurred to existance in twilight town before xemnas found him?
Ansem report #8,Says that ansem made a machine that artificially makes heartless and what it said after examining it seems quite interesting…?
But when you read the next one it says about mickey paying a visit to ansem the wises study.
Also the door that was opened when ansem was studying heartless it said the heartless were interested in that door at the castle,at what castle?
If it was ansem that wrote the reports and not ansem the wise than why did it say that on the artificial heartless machine there was a reason ansem the wise was acting as diz whyd he take the name diz anyway but still his skin was much darker around the mouth so he must have been in the form of someonelse for a time.
In an ansem report i believe it was 12 it says there is so many unknown worlds The present world,the world of darkness,the world of light and the world inbetween…Four paths,four worlds,four chasers.
Then it says where does the true paradise lie it said paradise in a quote of deep dive at #3.
It also said in the report my body has surely perished,however i am different from the other heartless keeping the memories of before AND I HAVE NOT TAKEN ON THE FORM OF A HEARTLESS.

Thimien, ok, you made your point, chill out bro. You don’t need to sound so hostile and harsh in your comments dude.
Shadow pretty much wrote a synopsis for what I originally thought about the theory on how Roxas is Ven. Ven may not have been dead after the secret ending, but he was froxen alive and probably died shortly afterwards. His soul was passed along to another being who had as strong of a heart as he did. He passed his soul onto Sora. When Sora used Riku’s Dark Keyblade to free Kairi’s Heart along with his, he became a Heartless. From what I can manage, because Kairi was a Princess of Heart, she somehow created a new body for Sora. The empty shell left behind after Sora turned into a Heartless was his nobody. But Because Sora spent a short amount of time as a Heartless, Roxas had no memory of who he was until he started to have dreams about Sora. And, isn’t it strange how Roxas looks like Ven. Roxas didn’t even have a name until he met up with Xemnas and gave him the name Roxas. He lived in a Data Version of Twilight Town where he’d live until Sora got his memories back and awoke from his deep slumber. That’s how I can back that up.
I said Xemnas may have known Ven because around the time he banished Ansem the Wise, he was regaining a good portion of his memories. Since Xemnas is Xehanort’s Nobody, he’d know Ven from Long Ago. He might not have met him, but he knew his physical features. If he allowed Roxas to regain all his memories, he would most likely seek revenge against Xehanort.

could you guyz read the beginning of the story im writing and tell me what you think please
here it is…
The fog swirled and danced over the rough waters of the sea as the music of the night played. The moon glowed menacingly through the thin blanket of clouds in the sky. For most people, tonight was just an other rainy, but ordinary night in Duronoia, but if you got far enough into the forest, you would have known for yourself that this was no ordinary night. For tonight a young woman fled for the life of a child she barely knew. Far, far into the stormy night she ran, carrying the small bundle of a baby in her arms. Suddenly though, her flight was stopped short as a man in a long cloak stepped in her path. The woman stopped and the force of the wind whipped the hood off of her head revealing long blonde hair and captivatingly dark brown eyes. By the looks of it the man guessed that she was only still in her teens. between fourteen and 16 he thought to himself then he opened his mouth to speak“this little game is over Erin.” said the man through a mock playful smile. “Now hand over the kid and ill be on my way.” His red hair hung over his piercing green eyes and his wet clothes clung to his skin as he took another step forward drawing a knife from the cloth of his sleeve. But the woman stood still not even reacting to the fact that this strange man said her name. “You know I cant do that Marvola.” she spat out the mans name as if it were a curse. “ Now if you would,” she gestured to one side with her head , her long wet hair flipping around her sholder, “step aside..”
Marvola laughed harshly and gave a small wistle into the night. At that moment two large hands roughly grabbed Erin’s sholders and two soldiers stepped up behind Marvola. Apparently, the coward had not come alone. She hugged the now awake and crying baby closer to her body. “great” she thought to herself “I thought that that old lier told me that the spell would keep her quiet. “To great of a coward to come and get me yourself Marvola?” she taunted “had to have backup to come and get me?” she gave a small tight giggle, though the look on her face was still grim. “Just a small lady in waiting not even 17 years old yet?”
Marvola ignored her tauntings and took another step forward. “Like I said” he said still with his triumphant mock smile on his face,
“hand over the girl and I may let you live” this time it was Erin’s turn to laugh, a bitter smile broke the grim expression that was on her face moments before. “for how long Marvola will it take you to realize that you are a terrible lier?” The smile on Marvola’s face vanished, replaced by a furious glare, but he calmly said, “True, with what you witnessed tonight and as dicipline for what you have done I am afraid I cannot let you live, but if you do not hand the baby over right now…” he paused to wipe something off of his knife. “lets just say it wont be as fun of an experience for you.” he flashed another mock smile before taking another step foreward. A voice from behind Marvola made Erin jump. She had almost forgotten that the soldiers were there. “Uhhhhhh Sir,” It was a tall, brawny brunette soldier with cold eyes that were stairing greedily at the infant still crying in Erin‘s arms. “why do you not just take it from her?” he to the third man behind Erin and the grip on Erin‘s sholders tightened “I mean, its not like she can do a whole lot to fight back right now.” the baby gave another wail louder than the last. And Marvola shot her a glance that immediately made her fall silent. Then, he turned to the man who had spoken. “What is your name again?’ he asked, he seemed totally uninterested in this man’s name which puzzled everyone for a moment. “Moran sir” the soldier answered after a pause. Marvola flashed another mock smile. “Well Moran,” his smile got bigger and more friendly, but his eyes just got colder with the effort. “why not try your plan.” he jestured toward the baby with his knife and while it was in the open, Erin noticed the blade was decorated like that of a rosebush. The blade was split in four distinguishable pieces made to look like the stems of roses, whose thorns pointed in every different direction, but the flower that should have been seen on all four ends were still buds, all angled into four points placed closely together.
Moran stepped forward quickly and reached out for the infant lightly wimpering in Erin’s arms. But just as the tips of his armored fingers touched the cloth surrounding the baby, he suddenly screamed in pain and fell to the ground. The grip on Erin’s sholders wavered for a fragment of a second before becoming painfully strong. And The two other men with Marvola stared in discust, horror, and disbelief down at Moran as he screamed still watching his hands start to morph and crack starting where his skin touched the baby. His fingers cracked and twisted, morphing into strange angles, and just as his whole forearms started to do this, his hands sprung to flame. The strange silver fire seemed to move faster than known possible. The body of the now shreaking man was now ingulfed in silver, cold flame. The other man still standing behind Marvola looked around wildly, stairing down at the terrifying sight. His knees quivering in an attempt not to run away, far away, never looking back. Suddenly as it started, the fire was gone, in its place was just a pile of dust. Slowly soaking down into the ground with the rain. Yet, though Moran was gone, his screams still seemed to echo through the night. Erin was to preoccupied watching the horrific scene before her to notice Marvola, but as she looked up to see his eyes, she was surprised to see that his expression was not full of fear, or shock. But anger, and pleasure. He stared down at the remains of his fellow man and smiled knowingly to himself, annoyance burning through his eyes. Erin shivered not because of the coldness of the air on this night, but the freezing intencity of the mans eyes as Marvola again turned his attention to her for a brief moment before turning to the other men with him. “Does anyone else have any bright ideas?” he asked glumly. The soldiers didn’t answer their leader, they just continued to stare down at the spot where their companian once stood, eyes wide with fear. “How did that happen?” he laughed coldly to himself “that is the question spinning through your simple minds, is it not?” Erin glared at Marvola with absolute lothing air around. How can anyone trust that thing? she kept thinking to herself. why would anyone want to serve under such a terrible man? and with a small dark smile, to herself, she answered herself. Fear, and idiocy.
“Well” Marvola started his explanation as though he were talking to a room full of schoolchildren instead of two frightened soldiers, a 15 year old girl, and a now moaning infant. “She went to see that old fool living under the stairs of the castle before setting off. We all know that that old man wouldn’t make it that easy.” he paused to try to decipher Erin’s reaction when he mentioned that he knew what she had been doing before she left town. Just to spite, she tried to put on a facieal expresion that would be as hard to read and blank as possible. Marvola simply laughed and kept going. “ And if any of you had noticed, the air around the baby seems to not blow with the wind” he smiled and gestured to the blanket still surrounding the baby and it was then that everyone noticed it wasn’t blowing in the wind like everything else. Though everyone else was getting wet and blown from the heavy rain and harsh wind, the small child in Erin’s arms seemed perfectly dry, warm, and content. “ That my simple minded friends, is a side effect of a magical charm proventing the child to be taken without the girl handing her over without doing so willingly.”

i only know that kikan can be a key and org.
Terra is known as Todomarishi Shinen.Shinen means thought.I do not know what todomarishi means.

OK, Thimien; I’m with you on how Ven and Roxas cannot be the same
But as for your post about how Xehanort could be a nobody, is a big NO. Just because he has an “X” in his name doesn’t always mean his really a nobody. The X was suppose to represent the members of the brotherhood, the “organization.” I mean Namine’s a nobody, but she doesn’t have an X in her name.
As for Roxas, it is possible to have a person in his whole form running around as well as his nobody. First of all, you gotta think of nobodies as a small part of a person. They’re not really that essential, but they are a part of the person. Heartlesses, are the person’s true self. The nobody is just the person’s “body.” Just an empty shell that carries the person’s traits (Its will/spirit). As for the actual person, its the heartless. Thats y Sora was able to become whole even with out Roxas. Becuase his heartless form is his true self. All he needed was a body to contain his heart, and he was whole again (thanks to “Kairi’s light”), he was able to gain a new body. And so Sora being himself again, didn’t need Roxas for a body anymore.

Okay has noone been reading my theories…Roxas can be Ven because 1)he had a heart
2)He was frozen and would not have aged much…
3)Roxas had awakened at castle oblivion we now should know that Ven is there and supposedly Aqua.
4)Ven may have had his spirit passed on to sora in chain of memories from that point…
5)It could have been Ven that awakened instead of roxas as the nobody technically that makes roxas the real roxas vens spirit and ven is just around still just as Sora is and his heartless is yet also no longer giving the fact that light turning sora in to normal making either sora or ven heartless,just as themselves cause the light touched both hearts and spirits and the fact that Ven is as roxas in the game returning back to sora is just the same person and ven also real roxas knows all what had happened because the heartless was turned to light returning as sora with vens spirit and vens heart returned to his spirit and the spirit roxas is in sora now and ven with his soul is still asleep in castle oblivion and roxas remembers everything that happened with ven seeing as clothes are very much different hair different color and also just the fact that he looks more like ven also.
6)Roxas had no memory of org. or anything it probably was Ven for a fact…
Someone could have even messed with his memory and doing that to sora makes it the same way with Ven…
7)roxas doesnt need to remember he is ven since his memories as sora got all messed up and it all becomes connected…
8)Xehanort as Xemnas may remember Ven because no matter what there is a light and also the fact that terra is not yet awakened could mean that terra has the name xehanort still and that Xehanort another xehanort is a nobody and that xemnas became the nobody of his dark side…
plus it doesnt matter if theres no X in the name of his original name because xehanort/ansem wasnt in org. only Xemnas…Cause xehanort was his nobody of the light and was overcome by darkness and made him a heartless with no heart since the x was removed and he became a heartless so ansem became no heart and xemnas is another…interesting.
9)Xemnas is trying to get xehanorts memories he went to castle oblivion in search of them maybe as terra might even be there.
10)we know where ven is now and its unknown about aqua.

And how is Roxas going to remember he is Ven, when there is no connection betwin Ven and Roxas at the time in kh2, Roxas doesnt even know Sora… how is he going to remember he is someone he is not… “like Ven”?
And heres something else… if it was the case that Roxas was Ven… that would be a reason for Xemnas to make him remember,…. why??? because thats what Xemnas is after… Xehanort’s lost memories… so, really the only thing you got right was the Axel thing, wich you put in the middle of your xplanation and, really makes no sence to the argument your trying to make lol
