i guess u make a good point Josh, but im sure that squre will continue with kh3 because fans all over make fan sites, such as this one, so i wanna say it will still be made (as long as they don’t spend more time and money on the new final fantasy games)

Let me start off saying I want KH2 FM+ to come NA as much as the next guy, but the thing is it mostly will NOT come.
Reasons:
- If Square-Enix see’s no profit in it they will NOT make it.
- They will have to find some of the VA’s again to do the new scenes, which cost a fair amount of money.
- Sora’s VA is currently in trouble with the law; Kairi’s VA is currently on the show HEROS.
- They will have to take time to find new and good English VA’s for RE: Chain of Memories, which will cost a lot.
- Good translations will take a while.
- Square-Enix special edition games tend not to come to NA.
Those are just some reasons on the top of my head, but the bottom line is that if they even sense that they will make no profit from it, then they will not release it. I’m not saying give up hope; I’m still hoping it will come as well.

I’m hopeful about it coming out in North America…with all the stir that KH2FM+ has made, it would be a pretty good move.
I don’t work for Square or know anyone who does, but I’d say the odds are very favorable for a North American (or possibly even International) release. And if what Square says about being ‘happy at the end of the year’ is true, then we’ll probably have it in time for Christmas.
(And is it true that in FM+, you can toggle between the Japanese and English voice casting? A personal journal post on another site said that they were able to switch it by hitting L2.)

nobody is certain about that but it is likely because like i said, it’s like a whole nother kh game. Nomura probably already figured that out himself.
i’m saying that i am am sure about it though. but we can expect something new by fall. that is a definite.

Well, we KNEW that KH3 wouldn’t be a sequel. Square’s been saying for a while that it won’t be a ‘numbered sequel’, but part of a new series.
And KH FM didn’t come out in America because…we already had it. The American version had stuff like the Sephiroth fight, which the Japanese version didn’t have. Since the Japanese were mad about not getting the ‘extras’, they released it again in Japan as Final Mix. (The FM version also had the Duel of Fate clip after you beat Sephiroth, and from what I understand, you received a new Keyblade for beating him.)
KH2:FM+ has so much more than one extra fight. The game has tons of new elements; it’s the exact opposite of the KH1 situation. The Japanese fans get tons of stuff that we don’t, so we demand an International release.

they might give it to NA though because of all that extra stuff. there are lots of new things in it. it like another game all together. it wasn’t just fixed up.
there are 2 new storys to complete and all the new scenes. kh 1 fm didn’t have any of that. it was just 1 new battle and only 2 or 3 new scenes.
kh 2 fm has a lot of new scenes and a whole new world with over 6 new battles and a new secret ending. so it is possible. nomura said that we would be happy by the end of the year when an interviewer asked him if kh 2 fm or the new 3D kh COM would come out in NA. that hints that we might get one of those two and if not we will still get something cool conected to the games.
I’m not saying that we are deffinitely getting them but i’m 100% sure that we will find out something new by the end of this year OR during the fall (would love if kh 2 fm came out on November 5th! birthday here I come!
) hopefully it will be worth the wait.

I just talked to some dude at EB Games, He said he highly doubts that kh fm+ isn’t coming to america because the first didn’t come so why should the second come
…and get this, he also said that KH3 is not a prequal,or a sequal, he said that its a sidestory… supposedly taking place in Sora’s heart (?)

To the people worried about the spiky hair… don’t be. whenever a game has a character with big hair and a helmet, the camera looks away while they remove the helmet. Then they look back when their done and it bouces back into place. just a little tidbit of info.

Everything that I have said has been drawn from the translations of the Japanese version available on this site and others. I’m not fluent enough in Japanese to play the game in Japanese (I’d be pausing /constantly/ to look up kanji).
And it’s purely because of what the names mean that we are able to draw connections at all. If the 3 knights were named ‘Veronica’, ‘Jacob’ and ‘Arnold’, then we wouldn’t have anything to go by, since those names probably have nothing to do with sky, ocean and land.
