Sora’s Limit Form and Soldier Images
Well, yesterday, KHInsider brought us an image from Sora’s Limit Form and the tallest soldier, if you didn’t have the chance to compare Sora with the soldier, here you can see it:

I think the game said that one of the things that made Organization XIII different from other Nobodies was their memories…and Roxas was a special kind of Nobody, just like Namine (their creation was different). Now, in KH1, when Finkelsein was trying to make a heart, one of the things that was missing was memory…but even with memory, it still didn’t make a heart. But isn’t remembering what it’s like to have a heart, and in Roxas’s case, forgetting that he’d lost his heart at all, just as good as having one? In any case, memory is very important to these games, and there’s a chance that there’s something to your theory. (It’s their ability to HAVE memories that drives them to want their hearts back, after all.)
That’s what I love about fan fiction…every now and then, you get one that’s well-written and makes you think. ^^

don’t rip me apart for that theory.

hey guys. i got a theory. now i was reading a fanfic and it had a very good point. it COM Marluxia threatened to anihilate Axel. Axel said that he didn’t want to turn into a dusk. And maybe nobodies really do have part of their heart inside them cause of when Axel cried. i know this sounds cheesy but, maybe they have to dig deep into their bodys darkness. And in twilight town at the beginning of kh2 Roxas had his own memories thus creating his heart. false memories, false heart like the Riku replica of COM.The reason why everyone is saying that they have no hearts is because nobodies don’t try to find their own hearts within, deep in the darkness. they just go around taking others. Xemnas brainwashing them to do what he wants doesn’t help either. Maybe they act like they don’t have hearts because all of the darkness is covering it. They did have minds of their own too.

If you mean ‘how do I know there hasn’t been a news post regarding it’, well, I checked the news page, of course. There wasn’t an update since about April 3rd.
If you mean ‘how do I know that they wouldn’t put up the date without citing a source’; if they did that, then they would have no credibility to the claim, and no one would believe them.

I would know what how?

Right…………………………………and you would know how?

But you see, Josh, the fact that the optional bosses was enough to get KH re-released as Final Mix in Japan should be a good indicator that, with all of the new stuff in KH2FM+, there will be a North American release.
I already listed as many of the differences between the North American release of Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix. The list didn’t even top 10 new items. The front page of this website states that there are 70 updates to KH2:FM+; I summarized the list of 33 up on the front page. There is a lot more going on in KH2:FM+ than there ever was in KH:FM, and since that short list that I provided in post #573 was enough to merit a re-release, I figure a list over 7 times as long merits a North American release, if not a PAL and International release, as well.
And Drake, 1Up.com hasn’t had a news post on their KH2:FM+ site in over a month; that is most likely an estimated release date. I highly doubt that they would put up a date and not a news post citing their source (namely, Square-Enix).

so bottom line: Kingdom Hearts Final Mix+ is coming to NA? yes, or no? i just wanna b sure even tho i posted that its coming in Fall
on 10 May 2007 at 3:45 pm 582. Josh
in reply tp Shakespeare
Actually, the reason KH1 FM was re-released to Japan was because of our ignorance. As you know when it came out in NA, it came with added content that the Jap version did not contain, 3 optional bosses(Sephitoth, Kurt Zisa, Wraith)
I guess Square wasnt happy about that so they made a special edition to include that stuff and more.
on 10 May 2007 at 2:45 pm 581. Drake
Yeah they realesed kh1 final mix in japan only cause of 2 or 3 news scenes 2 keyblades and the bosses looked different and the secret ending. As for KH2 Final Mix they realese in America cause of the New Chain Of Memeories…….The extra Org XIII battles….. A new area….. a new secret boss…..Mushroom XIII thing…..the crown side quest…..2 new keyblades….a new limit form…….new abilites……and Sora has new clothes in Christmas town……..the data files of Org XIII……fight with Roxas…..new Org XIII scenes…..a new secet ending that rocks……the new Tron thing……..There’s propaly a butt load more that I didn’t name so it should be realesed in America.
on 10 May 2007 at 2:38 pm 580. Drake
Britt thats what I was think they have the japan voices just english subtitles and everything else and for KH2 you don’t need voices for it cause its already english. With the extra movies in kh2 just leave it blank. Just english subtitles. I have no clue wat I just said

Josh, Square re-released KH1 in ONE country for that reason. That’s the point I’m trying to make.
on 09 May 2007 at 7:29 pm 578. britt
is it true that if you defeat the game you get to chose english subtitles?
on 09 May 2007 at 2:29 pm 577. Josh
- The new scenes are in Japanese
- Re: CoM is all in Japanese
Square is not going to re-release a game just because a couple thousand people in 4 diffrent counries want it.
on 09 May 2007 at 6:43 am 576. Shakespeare
As I said, the majority of the game is already translated (considering that they were able to translate KH2 from Japanese to English and release it in HALF the time it took to translate and release KH1; CoM had a Japanese release a mere /one month/ before the North American release, probably because of the lack of voice actors) I don’t think that will be too much of an issue. Besides, if they do like they did for the release of KH:FM, then all they would have to do is put English subtitles to match the Japanese voices. (I don’t think I’d complain; Marluxia has a HOT voice. Zexion isn’t so bad, either…and if they kept it for all of KH2, ah…the soothing tones of Toshiyuki Morikawa as Sephiroth taunts me again and again…)
FM+ was released March 29th of this year. Working with the time frame that KH1 had, we could see a September release. If they worked as fast as they did on KH2, then it could be translated and ready to go as soon as June. Most of the work would have to be done on CoM anyway; KH2 would only need 12 new scenes dubbed, and it’s not even like every single character appears in the new scenes, so regaining the ENTIRE cast wouldn’t be necessary.

quote josh: “- They will have to find some of the VA’s again to do the new scenes, which cost a fair amount of money.
- Sora’s VA is currently in trouble with the law; Kairi’s VA is currently on the show HEROS.
- They will have to take time to find new and good English VA’s for RE: Chain of Memories, which will cost a lot.”
1- haha! Sora’s a drunk!
2- they don’t need to the english voices cause the game just has japanese subtitles. all you need is translations.

In response to your points, Josh:
1. Square saw enough profit potential to re-release Kingdom Hearts in Japan with this list of updates:
-New Cutscenes
-English dialogue (with Japanese subtitles)
-Recolored Heartless (and a few new ones)
-A new boss (Xemnas (as the Enigmatic Man), as well as the inclusion of Sephiroth)
-Some new items in the Synth shop
-A handful of new weapons (Two apiece for Sora, Donald and Goofy)
-Some new abilities
-The Deep Dive trailer.
That’s it. Those are the only differences between the first KH and KH:FM.
Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix + has, according to this very website, 70 changes, including:
-A revamped PS2 version of Chain of Memories
-A whole new mode of play (Critical)
-A new Drive form
-At least 3 new sidequests
-New levels with stronger Heartless
-12 new cutscenes
-20 new bosses (including the E.S.)
-Changes on every world
-10 new weapons, not counting the + weapons or the weapons that are + versions of existing weapons
-Additional accessories
(Taken from the list of 33 of the 70 changes from KH2)
Not to mention my comment about the ‘buzz factor’ that this game has generated. (The ‘Hype’ meter on 1Up.com rated FM+ as ‘OMG!’, the highest rating.)
2. You’re talking about the Walt Disney Company, here. I don’t think that money is the issue. Besides, they were able to secure the original voice talent for nearly every character in the game with the exception of a few cases, such as getting Dan Castellaneta as the Genie (Robin Williams had quite the falling out with Disney several years ago; Dan Castellaneta has provided the voice of the Genie for several other Aladdin projects) or Robert Costanzo as Phil (rather than getting Danny DeVito back).
3. If by ‘currently’ you mean the charge Osment received almost a year ago (according to TheSmokingGun.com)… And many actors work on multiple projects at a time. I don’t see why this would be such a big deal for Hayden Panettiere. In 2006 alone she was featured in 8 roles (including Heroes), and 6 roles in 2005 (including KH2). (IMDb)
4. How much is ‘a lot’? Do you have experience in the voice talent industry? How much would it cost to cast Vexen, Lexaeus, Zexion, Marluxia and Larxene? That’s really all they would need to cast, as far as I know. We’d have to have some candidates for voices lined up before we could set about putting price tags on them, really.
5. Kingdom Hearts was released in Japan during March of 2002. It was released in North America a mere six months later. Kingdom Hearts 2 was released in December of 2005, and saw it’s North American release a mere THREE MONTHS later. (Dates taken from Wikipedia.) Considering that /most/ of the game is already translated with the exception of the new sequences, it wouldn’t take the maximum six months seen on the first game.
6. Granted, the market for collecting games isn’t as big in America as it is in Japan, but as I’ve said before, this game is kicking up enough fuss to the point where a North American release isn’t out of the question (especially considering Square’s quotes that we’ll be quite pleased by the end of the year; a North American release in time for the Christmas season would certainly make fans happy).
I don’t have any connection to Square-Enix, but from the looks of these points and considerations, I’d say the odds look rather favorable. I can’t make any promises, but we can always cross our fingers.
