Unused Sprites In Days, Days E3 Press Kit Leaked, IGN E3 Report, And Utada May Not Write KH3 Theme Song
A while back, Nintendo Power reported that a Pinocchio world would be featured in Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days. Since the games release, there has been no sighting of a Pinocchio world. Is Nintendo Power to blame for giving out false information? Today, mugshots ripped from the game has been posted on the Spriters Resource.

Nintendo’s Press Release site has leaked the press kit for Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days that was at E3. It contains high quality images and logos as well as a 15 second advertisement trailer!

IGN gave their impressions of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Here’s an excerpt:
“For the demo today I had a chance to try the game’s main single player mode, following Roxas to Agrabah where Princess Jasmine and Aladdin are attempting to find the source for some mysterious sandstorms, which eerily follow with attacks from the “heartless.” In an attempt to set things right in the Disney oasis, the young boy walks the streets with key in hand attempting to take out monsters as they spawn. For this introduction mission it’s focused mainly on a group of fire flowers, though supporting “barrier masters” – spell casters with plenty of action magic – keep the other baddies in the fight.”

JETTANY Quarterly Magazine interviewed Utada Hikaru recently, and the singer of the Kingdom Hearts theme song revealed that she has turned down Disney’s offer to do Kingdom Hearts III
“–Are you going to be involved in the soundtrack for Kingdom Hearts III?
Utada: I don’t think so, I don’t know. Probably not.
Mr. Utada: We said no to Disney.
Utada: Ohh…–You turned down Disney?
Mr. Utada: Yeah. Because they don’t pay.
–Because they don’t pay, yeah. My parents work for Disney World, so I’m sure they’d be in agreement with you on that.
Utada: They can have a drink over that [all laugh].
–Okay, so going back a little bit, the fact that Exodus was released in English also in Japan, was that a conscious decision? Was there ever any pressure either on your label over there, or from other people to say, “Well, if you do Japanese versions of
these songs, they’ll be so much more accessible, many more people will get to that?”Utada: Uh-huh. Well, from the beginning, yeah…before doing that contract, I’d done a few songs where I had to translate, like for Kingdom Hearts, I had to make an English version of the song “Hikari,” which became “Simple and Clean,” and then also for Kingdom Hearts II, I had to make the Japanese version which was the song “Passion” and then the English version that was “Sanctuary,” and that was so hard, it’s just—and it felt strained—and as a result, I’m happy that I worked hard to do those, because those English versions are really good and “Simple and Clean,” I think, is a really good song, and people…most of the people that know me here, they know me for that—but it’s not ideal for me as a writer, to…because, actually, I changed the melodies for “Simple and Clean” and “Hikari,” because when you change the language you’re singing in, the same melodies don’t work—and as a writer, it’s just very frustrating to have, like…I wrote these melodies for Japanese words, and to have to write in English for that, it’s just not right. And then, so, for this, uh, this contract with Island Def Jam, in the beginning I separated it to this English language album, and I don’t do Japanese translations. I just, my integrity as an artist just would not take that, could not take that.”

Yay another KH topic to wonder randomly about KH future lol. I can’t really say I have a favorite Organization character…Roxas can’t really count cause it’s essentially Sora and everyone likes the main character of a game lol. Unless of course you’re playing that Pinata game in which case you’ll want to shoot yourself.

oooo good call sonicspeed. Well now, if you don’t have a favorite Org. character, do you have a fav. KH Character (excluding org. members of course)? Disney Characters perhaps? I’m steered towards liking Riku cuz he’s very similar to me, personality and body build (not tooting my own horn there lol), and I like Aladdin (the whole ‘diamond in the rough’ really describes me alot).

I’d probably have to say Riku as well cause he’s a bit more of a loner/do things by himself type of person like me.

My fav character is also Riku/Roxas. Riku is cool because he is one of the few SERIOUS main characters, but also has a silly/calm side. Sora has too many silly moments.
Favorite Org member? I’d have to say Axel, for the same reasons as Riku.
Favorite Disney Character (if any) would have to be Donald. Mickey and Goofy are too silly for me to take seriously. Plus Donald uses Magic, which is pretty awesome.
Favorite Final Fantasy character…is Leon or Yuffie.
I talk too much.

nah you don’t nobody13. My mom on the other hand can talk up a storm and she has this loud ‘tuba’ voice that could be heard for about a quarter of a mile away lol. Now she’s someone who talks too much sometimes. My fav Final Fantasy Character would have to be Cloud, cuz of his cool fighting style and of course his dark half Sephiroth.

Its dissapointing that there won’t be any FF characters in Days, but then again if there were then KH2 would be a little off, since none of the FF characters knew anything about the Organization until Sora told them.
But still.
I am so glad Neverland is in this game, mostly because I am getting tired of the same 3 worlds (Agrabah, Olympus, Halloween Town) over and over again.
Too bad Pinocchio was cut…it would’ve been cool to introduce new Disney Villains into the series.

me wonders where Stromboli was though, if he’d be included. He was a secondary antagonist along with John Worthington FoulFellow (the fox) and Gideon (the cat) and the coachman of Pleasure Island. Oh well, if they do ever get around to making a world based on Pinocchio (here’s hoping it be in KH BBS) then Monstro has to be a boss no exceptions.

nobody13: The Disney characters find out about Org. XIII in 358/2 yet don’t remember it in KH2 so something happens to cause them to forget…possibly when Roxas goes to Diz’s Twilight Town and loses his memory of Org. XIII. Also Mickey and Goofy are too silly but Donald isn’t? =P

Well Beast knew about Xaldin, right?
Alot of the screenshots i’ve seen almost look like the org is eavesdropping on the Disney worlds, and not directly interacting with them. This is probably because they are focused on the mission, so a lot of characters in KH2 probably didn’t notice them running around…or listening in on their conversations.
Donald…idk, I like him better. He’s gotten me out of a lot of tight spots. Like healing me at the last second. That kinda makes him my favorite in battle.
See, Mickey is silly at the wrong times in my opinion, and Goofy is almost always silly so…yeah.

I’ve watched a lot of the Disney classics Sonicspeed. My life has revolved essentially around three basic things as a little kid: Anime cartoons/games, Backstreet Boys/Other rock bands popping up in the last twenty years, and the charms and delight of the Disney Corporation (from their movies to the Disney Theme Parks I’ve been to (excluding the ones in Asia of course)).

I’ve beaten it. pretty sad ending all around though. There are really big hints for KH BBS in this game though I should say. It’ll make much better sense in the english version I should say, but they are there though. I won’t give much away, but there is one thing I will say about this game: the 2 in KH 358/2 days has nothing to with Sora (not directly that is but rather Roxas and someone else…I’ll leave you guys with that as a note and good luck playing it when it comes out).

Axel, I’m not telling you guys who the other person is (you’ll have to play it and find out yourself) and as far as we know there are 14 members so far. But we’ll see, there might be 20, I don’t know what TN is planning.

I REALLY want to meet and battle the Organiztion’s Heartless equivalents in a future game. That would be cool.
Unless we have already beaten them, which I hope we haven’t. We already know Roxas’ and Xemnas’ heartless.

That would be very cool nobody13. I think they could still do something with Roxas’s Heartless to fight though cause when Sora “unlocked” his heart I would think he would be a much more powerful Heartless than a shadow since his heart is so strong.

interesting theory ankoku! but lest you forget 1) roxas is a nobody 2) since sora gave his heart to save kairi, he technically was giving in to the darkness 3) because of fact 2, he was turned into a “pureblood” heartless as opposed to the much more common “emblem” heart less (no, seirously, check the heartless files, most of them are “emblem” heartless)

lol, according to the wiki Xion’s real name isn’t oni(DON’T READ ON THERE ARE SPOILERS). It is actually not even a name, it’s No.1(dun dun duuunnnn). She was a clone created by the orgy and is dubbed No.1 since well, she’s the first(and only) one.

The Utada thing is a lie i mean come on simple and clean and hikari or two different songs with the same melody i know cause i have a version with both lyric in it and plus she has stated that both songs have diffrent lyrics and meaning. and come on who is mr. hikaru hes been. i mean she was divorced a while back and i know they not gonna let her drop a bomb like that o im not gonna sing kh3 i mean if they did it be a sony thing and you would probably hear more about it coming out in the tgs (thats not a fact). and plus how can she turn Disney when S.E. owns it i mean Squire Enix and Disney just did a collaboration. Disney got some of that money for letting them use Disney worlds and characters.

Actually I’m pretty sure Disney owns the majority of the rights to the KH series. SE might just own the rights to the FF characters.

This is sad news if it true.However not all hope is lost on the soundtrack they could find someone on the same level as Utada maybe even better or at least I hope they do.
Utada is great though and I hope disney throw some money her way to get her to reconsider.
