FM: Enigmatic Soldier Battle
“Aqua… Ven… Keyblade… who are you? I can feel it… we have met before… it was when… No… it isn’t you… It isn’t you that I have chosen… Why is it not him… Xe… ha… nort… is that you? Xeha… nort… Xehanort!”
Thanks to Xevorili.
Final Mix: Secret Boss (Enigmatic Soldier) Defeated! (Aftermath)
Enigmatic Soldier: I see. Your strength is… What I sensed in you is…
(When returning for a rematch:)
Enigmatic Soldier: So you have returned, young Keyblade user. I have no further power to give you. All I have is my hatred towards Xehanort. Will you allow me to engrave that into your heart?

and if my theory is correct, i have another one to throw into the mix. if it is in the future, and the three knights are linked to Sora’s gang (nomura said it, not me) then maybe the three knights could be children of the Gang, their Nobodies, or even going back to my Third Element theory, and that those three are the remains of someone with an INCREDIBLY strong heart and mind becoming a Heartless and Nobody. like… Heart=Heartless, Body and Soul=Nobody, and maybe Mind=?
after all… Sora’s trademark Crown symbol does appear a lot. an example is when you are Roxas and you first discover the lab in the mansion… the drawing on the table has the symbols of the Heartless and Nobodies, then Roxas draws the Crown on it to reveal the stairs. the Crown is the symbol of some other element, and since people generally wear crowns on their heads, i think the third element is Mind.
if you must keep disagreeing with my theory of the trailer being in the future, at least let me know what you think about this Third Element one.

ok… lets make this short and simple…
Xehanort in KH2=young.
Xehanort in KH3=old.
put them together.
and what you said about how Way to the Dawn was only in the first trailer… you don’t you think of them as Part 1 and Part 2 of ONE trailer, and not two different ones… then you might see where I am coming from.
now I have explained my theories… but, what makes YOU so sure it is in the past?
also, i just found yet another link between Xehanort and Terra (+ others)… the music that plays in KH2 while you are fighting Xemnas for the last 2 times is almost exactly the same as when you fight Terra in KH2FM+.
it would not be coincidence that they have almost the same theme music, right?

Okay I just rembered the portal in Disney Castle but I don’t remember if the portal appeared by replacing the door timeless river or not. So okay, sora fought Terra in a different time *coughpastcough*. After both fights, Terra might’ve took his own life and was then reincarnated into Riku. Another far fetched idea, but just as likely as this taking place in the future.
on 19 Jun 2007 at 2:29 pm 327. twilightgamer92
Alright, Mixup! Way to the Dawn only appeared in the KH2 Secret Ending but not the KH2FM+ ending. Ven picked up Way to the Dawn in the KH2 secret ending but the blade wasn’t in his hand in the KH2FM+ secret ending. The first secret ening just meant that Ven was the previous weilder of twilight. Ven also (possibly) died in the battle and his keyblade was snapped in half. One half might’ve been crafted into Sora’s keyblade and the other might’ve been crafted into mickey’s. But Ven’s heart might’ve been used to craft sora’s keyblade which would explin why the keyblade found Sora but Riku could use it for a while because both Ven and Riku were meant to be weilders of twilight. Call it far fetched if you will but then again it is a little bit far fetched but there’s as much a chance that that theory’s possible as much as possible that the secret endings took place in the future. But if your right about the battle between Sora and Terra being a battle like Timeless River then Riku COULD be the bodily reincarnation of Terra. but how do you have proof that the battle between Sora and Terra was just like Timeless River?

holy crud… just had an idea.
we all agreed it is in the past, yes?
well… in the trailer we see old Xehanort. we also see riku’s keyblade. that keyblade only looks like that because it formed around the cool sword he uses in KH1.
It looks like that because Riku had it. so how can it already look like that if it is in the past?
The keyblade got that appearance in the present, so that keyblade they show is in the future!
i tried convincing u guys before, but this is HARD to argue against.
I convinced that it is NOT in the past!
on 19 Jun 2007 at 4:11 am 325. Mixup
and… the dark soldier is similar to the shadow that followed the last boss of KH1. The old guy simply summoned it, it is not another person.
on 19 Jun 2007 at 4:09 am 324. Mixup
ok… lemme just say this. after all the effort i put into explaining that this is not based in the past, u still think that it comes before the KH games. another thing… Terra ain’t alive, that battle is similar to the Timeless River level, wher you actually go to some other time (or even dimension)
on 19 Jun 2007 at 1:04 am 323. twilightgamer92
One more thing: Xigbar said when “the people that weilded the blade of keys were gone, a man who had lost his memories had appeared” meaning Xehanort. I think that the old man used that kingdom hearts he created to fuse his heart with the Dark Soilders, creating Xehanort.

Although while I don’t think that Riku can’t be the bodily reincarnation of Terra (especially since Terra is ALIVE), Riku and Terra are SIMILAR. Since Riku=Land and Terra=Earth and both Riku and Terra changed their eye color some time in their lives. Riku was also very skilled in Darkness and Terra is skilled in Light. However, Riku and Xehanort are also similar. They both shared a body and both of them conquered each other (post KH: CoM, pere KH2 Riku accepted Xehanort’s darkness but didn’t lose himself to Xehanort). Xehanort and Terra also have similar hair styles so Xehanort and Terra might be brother’s and Terra would have even MORE hatred for Xehanort because Xehanort betrayed Terra. This act of hatred might come from the battle of Terra, Aqua, Ven vs. Old Man and the Dark Soilder because I think Xehanort IS the Dark Soilder. But Xehanort’s keyblade didn’t have a keychain so, like Ven’s, it could’ve snapped at the end of the battle.
on 19 Jun 2007 at 12:44 am 321. twilightgamer92
Kairi also might be the bodily reincarnation of Aqua. The reason that Xehanort sent Kairi to Destiny Island is because he somewhat recalled Aqua so Xehanort sensed the connection betwen Aqua and Kairi. So, Xehanort sent Aqua (Kairi) to find the keyblade that belonged to Ven (Sora).
on 19 Jun 2007 at 12:37 am 320. twilightgamer92
Oh, and Mixup, Nomura did say that Riku lost his heart temporarily. Have you ever played KHFM? Riku’s heart woke up at the Door to Darkness where the king talked to him about how the door had to be sealed and that both he and Riku were sent there to help seal the door. However, when Xehanort was shot by the light of the door, Xehanort’s heart was sent to Kigdom Hearts and Riku’s “Nobody” was returned to him. It’s very complicated.
on 19 Jun 2007 at 12:31 am 319. twilightgamer92
I think that Sora is the bodily reincarnation of Ven. And the reason that Sora’s heart could be connected to both the Kingdom Key and the Star Seeker is because the Kingdom Key is made out of the light part of Ven’s heart. This is why Sora and Roxas could use two keyblades. sora just needed help using two because using more than one eyblade puts a strain on one’s heart. Roxas, being a nobody didn’t really have a heart and therefore didn’t have a heart to put a strain on.

Shakes and Trace… You guys REALLY wanna make a link between Xehanort’s Heartless/Nobody and the Old Guy?
Well, how about this?
1. The E.S. battle in Final Mix+… he goes on about how he hates Xehanort. And it was the Old Guy that he hates in the trailer, right?
2. The clothes that the Old Guy wears are almost exactly the same as the clothes that Xehanorts Heartless wore, right?
3. The weird Shadow that the Old Guy summons looks almost exactly the same as Riku did when he was possessed but Xehanort’s Heartless, right?
4. And finally… when you fight against Xehanort’s Nobody and he sits on top of his throne in the building wearing armor… that armor looks almost EXACTLY like the armor that the E.S. and the other two wore.
So far, I have deduced that this trailer is in the past. Xehanort was an ally of those three knights and was a Keyblade Master himself. Xehanort somehow lost and was found all battered up on Ansem’s doorstep with no memories, where he was taken in by the foolish man. And the rest after that is explained in KH2.
And on one final note… Trace. You said that Riku lost his Heart and that is why he was there at the end of the first KH. No. He was always there with them. Even during the battle with Xehanort’s Heartless, as the Heartless was actually using Riku’s body. The blast of Light that came out of the Door gave Riku control of himself, and that is why he was in there. He went in the door himself, just as Mickey did some time before that.
(I would also Like to point out that I do not think that really was Kingdom Hearts at the end of the first game. After all… why would Kingdom Hearts be full of Heartless? It was really the Realm of Darkness in there, we can guess that from the fact that Mickey was there, and that they later talk about how Mickey and Riku escaped from the Realm of Darkness, and not from Kingdom Hearts.)
Sorry it is so long…

Hmm…I hve just read everyone’s theories and I think that Shakespeare and Trace re probably the most accurate…so I’ll leave you guys to make theories.

The bald guy in the secret ending that is. I’m not talking about the enigmatic soldier.

Well you know how Ansem the wise supposedly died in the explosion of his machine? Well you don’t think that could be his heartless do you? Because when a person dies or something (this is just a guess) but doesn’t he lose his heart? And that thing next to him maybe that’s his nobdy. It’s a good guess isn’t it?
on 29 May 2007 at 10:09 pm 306. Zach
Commenting on your post Shakespeare, Because his keyblade has no Keychain Attached, then his keyblade must be a keyblade in its purest form, because even the Kingdom Key has a keychain on it, and its considered the “generic keyblade”.
on 29 May 2007 at 5:23 am 305. Trace
A Nobody is created at the same moment a Heartless is created, essentially. Roxas came about when Sora was turned into a Heartless and Namine came about when Kairi’s heart was released from Sora’s. Both of their Nobodies are unique in the ways they were created and the circumstances with which their Somebodies (Sora and Kairi) were involved, such as Sora regaining his human self thanks to Kairi and not staying a Heartless. Riku gave in to the Darkness and, correct me if I am wrong, but his heart went to Kingdom Hearts, didn’t it? Otherwise he would not have been on the other side of the Door, right? Which means he, too, became a Heartless of sorts, right? But his circumstances were also unique because he regains his body and heart at the end of Kingdom Hearts. If Riku became a Heartless, no matter how, then his Nobody is somewhere out there, too.
And there doesn’t have to be a connection in their names, right? Xemnas gave everyone their names, aparently - at least with Roxas. The whole ‘X in the Name’ fad was just with Organization XIII. Riku’s Nobody could have an identity and everything , couldn’t he? And would the Riku Replica also have a Nobody of sorts? Granted his heart was artificial, would it work the same way as a real heart? Riku seemed to know. After they fought, he claimed that his replica’s heart would go to where his (Riku’s) would go.
All we know is that Terra, Ven, and Aqua have obvious connections to Sora, Riku, and Kairi, (not necessarily respectively). Who knows what will be unveiled in the future…?
on 29 May 2007 at 2:31 am 304. Everblades
What if they are the nobodies of Sora, Riku, and Kairi. I don’t know if any one thought of this so sorry if you did.
on 27 May 2007 at 9:54 pm 303. Shakespeare
I know the feeling, Trace! lol
Don’t forget that the Old Man made all the Keyblades fly around like some giant snake for the Dark Knight to ride on. And if my theory is correct, that the Old Man is Xehanort from the future (long after KH) and that the Dark Knight is Xehanort from the past (just before he turned up in Radiant Garden), then it would make sense for connections to exist between the two.
It would also explain why the old man can use a Keyblade. Granted, there are many wielders, but it seems to make sense that two of the same person could use a Keyblade. After all, Sora and Roxas use Keyblades, and they’re essentially the same person.

the flash of light is when riku used some kind of final attack or sumthing and killed the nobodies

Wow Shakes, I don’t check this mini-forum for a little bit and so much discussing has been going on! Allow me to admit that I am obsessed with fighting Xemnas. The battle is far too fun, but the sequences confuse me. Mainly at the end, after Xemnas himself is defeated (or perhaps reunited with his heart), a flock of Dusk Nobodies enter the scene. Do Sora and Riku fend them off or is the flash of white symbolic of something? I’ve also tried connecting Xehanort’s Heartless with the Old Man from the ‘Birth by Sleep’ scene. When “Ansem” summoned his guardian, I immediately thought of the Old Man and the masked fighter that pulled itself from him. Needless to say, there are supposed to be parallels between Xehanort’s Heartless and his Nobody in battle. But when you face off against Xemnas as he sits atop his giant behemoth of a throne, the buildings you run upon rise up, reminiscent to the way the Old Man manipulated the earth he and the Chasers battled upon. Am I overanalyzing or are there true parallels between Xehanort’s Heartless, his Nobody, and the Old Man that engaged Terra and the others in mortal combat?
