FM: Enigmatic Soldier Battle
“Aqua… Ven… Keyblade… who are you? I can feel it… we have met before… it was when… No… it isn’t you… It isn’t you that I have chosen… Why is it not him… Xe… ha… nort… is that you? Xeha… nort… Xehanort!”
Thanks to Xevorili.
Final Mix: Secret Boss (Enigmatic Soldier) Defeated! (Aftermath)
Enigmatic Soldier: I see. Your strength is… What I sensed in you is…
(When returning for a rematch:)
Enigmatic Soldier: So you have returned, young Keyblade user. I have no further power to give you. All I have is my hatred towards Xehanort. Will you allow me to engrave that into your heart?

I had an epiphane (sp?) of sorts here. When I postulated that Xehanort is a Nobody’s name, I may have been on to something. When Xemnas is in Hollow Bastion, before he travels the literal downward spiral into the Room of Sleep, he logs onto a computer with the username ‘Another.’ Well I’ll be, the name Xehanort is Another X. There is a correlation. Also, according to Xigbar, “people with the blade of keys started to appear and fought great battles. When they were gone, a man who had lost his memories appeared. Xemnas… no… Xehanort was taken in by Ansem around that time, was he not?” Xehanort was a Chaser and was one of those people with “the blade of keys,” along with Aqua and Ven, but lost his memory along the way. I can keep on conjuring up theories, but will it ever get us anywhere?

Shakespeare’s theories sound more sound by the moment. After viewing the two videos concerning the Room of Sleep (Xigbar & Zexion) and Xemnas’ trip to said room and his interaction with Aqua’s armour, I’m looking to Shakes for more info. His idea that Xehanort was a Chaser, thus an ally/FRIEND to Aqua makes sense. I’ve been thinking… Xehanort is Another X or No Heart X, isn’t it? Isn’t that a Nobodies name? Something-something-X? Does that mean that Ansem the Wise’s apprentice, Xehanort, was already a nobody? I’m trying to think… There was a guy involved with “the people who wield keys” that lost his memory, according to Xigbar, and may have also lost his heart, in essence creating a Heartless and a Nobody… Wait, Ansem from KH1 was Xehanort’s Heartless, meaning Xehanort lost his heart in order for that Ansem to live. But if Xehanort was Heartless or a Nobody already, what heart could he have lost? And what about that name? I’m sorry I can’t postulate any hypotheses, but I’ll just provide a bunch of stuff for Shakes to sort through, okay? ^.^ Birth by sleep must relate to that room. The only thing that comes from sleeping is dreaming, right? And when you think of heart and body, don’t you also think of mind and soul? Is that the theme they are going with here? So many queries and I am no closer to anything that sounds plausible!

Where did the three soldiers come from and where did the old man come from and if only sora riku and king mickey hold those key blades why can the three soldiers also hold them?
on 30 Apr 2007 at 2:02 am 147. Shakespeare
Ven cannot be Roxas (Nomura said that the 3 knights were new characters), and Ven cannot be the E.S., because it doesn’t make much sense for him to call his OWN name when trying to figure out who Sora is. He’s trying to identify him, which is why he first calls out his comrades’ names. (Perhaps that thing he did with his eyes at the end of the video made him blind after the fight?) He calls out ‘Aqua…Ven…’ and when he gets no response but knows that the person before him has a Keyblade, he’s confused. He KNOWS the person there isn’t Xehanort (presumably, Xehanort would just try to kill him instead of letting him talk), but doesn’t know who else it could be.
But now I have to re-read my theory…XDD
OK. Done. Now, considering part of Master Hearts’ other theory, about the Chasers having been trained, consider this: At the end of the first video, they all go pick up the Keyblades used by Sora, Riku and Mickey.
My theory is that they were about to set out and find the ones that each of those Keyblades had chosen, so that they could train them to be the next generation of Chasers. (Xehanort, the fourth Chaser, is missing, and thus a fourth Keyblade, Kairi’s, is missing as well.) According to this theory, the E.S. would have trained Sora, Ven would have trained Riku, and Aqua would have trained Mickey. (Ironically, this would leave Xehanort, the one who turns evil, to train Kairi, a Princess of Heart.)

Wait, is Aqua and Vein both the soilders that the enigma soilder was fighting with in the secret ending?
on 29 Apr 2007 at 11:50 pm 145. sorasbestfriend
omg duh! probably not but this a theory. Birth by Sleep. i know ppl have known that b4 but listen to this 1. while sora was asleep he had a dream about a great battle or something and while he was sleeping something in his heart caused his certain dreams to b BORN. therefore creating the battle and mickey went there ( the battle ) after KH2 and needed help so he sent a letter to riku and sora that he needed help\.therefore BIRTH BY SLEEP. probably not but maybe.

LOL ALSO, did you know that a Chaser is not only a hunter or literally someone chasing someone else, but according to the fabulous Wikipedia, a Chaser is “a person who produces weapons, mainly for war”?

Also, is there a video up of Xemnas and this Chaser armour that belonged to the alleged Aqua in ‘Birth by Sleep’?

OMG Shakespeare, that’s a really good hypothesis. The best I have ever come across, to the point where I believe it to be 97.589759% true. Seriously, you may be on to something, but what of the aforementioned “memory” of Xehanort? Another thing that bugs me is Xemnas at the finale of KH2, where the three meet in that strange dimension. Something tells me that wasn’t the same Xemnas they had been fighting, the same material being, but maybe his ethereal self, as if they had gone to the darkness nobodies are believed to retreat to, the same realm Namine had feared. I am only postulating enough to get under people’s skin and make them venture further into whatever they may believe, but nonetheless, this talk about Chasers and the Keyblade War is intriguing. We can at least assume the ‘Birth by Sleep’ event occurs in the same timeline as KH2, due to Sora’s interaction with the Enigmatic Soldier… right?

according to shakespeares theory the chasers were at one point taught by someone else and the ES had accually passed his hatred of xeahnort to ven
UNDERSTAND NOW?
on 27 Apr 2007 at 11:00 pm 137. master hearts
and the ES is really vens pedicessor

on 27 Apr 2007 at 10:59 pm 135. master hearts
after much study i figured out that roxas is the one you people call ven and that ven is really the chaser with brown hair and aqua being the woman with blue hair

on 23 Apr 2007 at 11:09 pm 130. Shakespeare
Yay, time to chip in my theory!
I still think that the old man is sort of like Darth Sidious (Emperor Palpatine), and Xehanort (the man in the Heartless armor) is his Darth Vader. At first, Aqua, Ven, the Enigmatic Soldier and Xehanort were all working for good (though not all 4 were presumably of the alignment of Light). Perhaps there’s a sort of equivalent to the Jedi Council for Keyblade Wielders…who knows? Perhaps that’s the purpose of the Chasers? To find those who are potential Wielders and train them to fight for the light? For the purpose of this theory, we will assume the aforementioned postulation is true.
So Aqua, Ven, E.S. and Xehanort are the four Chasers, and it’s their duty to protect Kingdom Hearts by training new Keyblade Wielders. However, as we all know, the lure of power is great, and Xehanort, already inclined toward using the Darkness, would be easy to seduce with the suggestion of more power through the Darkness.
That’s where the old man comes in and begins turning Xehanort against the other Chasers. Just as how Anakin was more powerful than pretty much any other Jedi, but was easily influenced, Xehanort and the old man were powerful enough to overwhelm the other three Chasers.
To continue the Star Wars parallel, since it’s very easy to draw (it’s practically the epitome of the Hero’s Cycle, and one of the most well-known, after all), the E.S. is like Yoda. Though the other two Chasers were (presumably) slain (Aqua’s armor is hidden deep under Hollow Bastion, as we can see in the clips from FM+, and Xemnas seems to go there frequently to gloat about his victory; one can practically hear the sarcasm in his voice as the subtitles read ‘Hisashiburi na…tomo yo’, “Long time no see…’friend’”.), the E.S. went on in exile, hidden away in that portal in the Hall of the Cornerstone.
Something even more worrying for the future is this: If you check the translated pages of Another Report, when a Heartless is killed, the heart returns to it’s body. If the body is not available (is a Nobody), then it ‘waits’. If a Nobody is killed and it’s Heartless was killed first, then they recombine normally. If the Heartless is still at large, then the Nobody disappears. This spells an unfortunate end for most of the Organization…but Xehanort’s Heartless was killed in KH1, and his Nobody in KH2.
Logically, it follows that now Xehanort’s Heart can recombine with his body, and Xehanort will return.

ok. You guys have some valid points. But I’m here to state the obvious. First, the crossroads. Southwest Asia is also considered a crossroads. Second, keyblade war. Asia? War in Iraq anyone. My third reason is the lost two. Well one of them is obviously Osama. That’s all I have now but I’ll keep you updated!
