That’s right, I’m still alive. I’ve had a busy couple of weeks filled with finals and the start of a new semester, and I’m already behind. I apologize for not updating sooner.
To make up for it, I’ll give you a large chunk of what I’ve missed.

PROLOGUE————–Roxas and the Player’s Viewpoint
The reason for producing a new installment of the series on the DS―― First of all, why make a new title for Nomura’s masterpiece Kingdom Hearts series on DS?
Nomura: The invitation to do so had been received from Nintendo for a while. From making Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories on Game Boy Advance to It’s a Wonderful World*, working with Nintendo had been successful, so we opted to make a Kingdom Hearts title on the DS. However, having seen the advances being made on the preceding title It’s a Wonderful World, we considered what we would do with Kingdom Hearts on the DS.
――Sora is the main character of Kingdom Hearts, why is it Roxas is the hero in the DS game?
Nomura: To start with, since it was for the DS, we wanted to make a game that could be played multiplayer. With the desire to have two or more playable characters in mind, we considered the interesting individuals of Organization XIII. However the part involving the time axis worried me. Since in Kingdom Hearts II we followed the final footprints of Roxas, the story begins from his birth into the world. I think those playing the series for the first time will see the viewpoint of Roxas and will want to catch up on the story until now. If the hero is a common character to the series, it’s considerably difficult to present them abruptly without the player knowing the other works they appear in to some extent.
―― From what we can tell, Roxas’s main point is concluded in the early stages of Kingdom Hearts II. Will the story for 358/2 Days still be enjoyable for fans of the series?
Nomura: In Crisis Core –FFVII- for the PSP, the ending of the story was known from the beginning; however it did not particularly hinder the story. So even if the ending is understood for Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, I think that it can be developed interestingly.

I never intended it to be the american release countdown…this is for the actual release (japanese version). Everything else after that one is just dubbed in another language, barely any time changing that stuff at all, while the stuff released in japan is the real shabang hence why Im doin the japanese countdown.

I have to disagree sorahearts1, for one thing the final mixes have all been released in japan, all the new stuff we’ve been learning about Roxas and even the keyblade knights we learned to be Terra, Aqua and Ven were introduced in japanese trailers, games, etc. and also any game we get from there at most is dubbed and may have some scenes changed (like the scene with daisy banging donald’s chest for NA and Japan daisy was banging donald’s butt 0_0). Other than that I really happen to like the japanese versions of any game, they’re not afraid to use occasional cussing and what not.

@Axel-who knows? I doubt they’d have an extra bit of stuff in this game that we wouldn’t find out in any other dubbed game especially since this isn’t a final mix game either. If anything I would think coded of all the new games would have extras hinting towards a future game.

that’s what this game is all about Zack. We know very very little about the girl other than she was a member at Org. XIII (though the name wasn’t changed to Org. XIV), she is connected to the memories of Sora somehow, and of course because of Roxas has a connection to Sora and thus to Riku. I’m not sure if Riku knows entirely who she is, but it’ll be cleared up anyhow when the game is released in Japan so don’t worry.

You bring up a good point master x. All of the good releases are in Japan unfortunately…probably something the Japanese like to hold over us lol. That brings up another point master x…how much I wish the final mixes would be released in the U.S. lol. We got Re: CoM after a couple years so we can still hope for it.

Ya i kinda of figured so, but is there anyway it could be kairis heartless? Hasnt other peoples heatless turned out to be an actual person? If so, itd be Kairi, Xion, her heartless, and Namine her nobody?
But Xion, without the X, is oni with out the X, which is DEMOM in japanese…Demon…Im stumped on this one, maybe shes just a another one of kairis nobodies…
Should the six other princeses have a nobody and heartless since sora realesed their hearts and opened it to the darkness?

the problem I got about that is that Xion keeps saying “how can two people be the same?”. This could imply many things all together that literally is one in the same person as girl ‘X’ let’s or metaphorically like girl ‘X’. However Kairi can’t have a heartless since she is a Princess of Hearts (no darkness=/=heartless) so that would rule that out. I do believe that Xion could be part of Kairi though because of the fact Roxas communicated with Kairi in KH 2 and thus Sora was contacted. Also in many game trailers its hinted that Xion is connected deeply to Sora and Kairi somehow and we have not seen Kairi at all being confirmed in this game at all. Methinks there is another element that makes a being who they are: heart, body, soul, and ‘X’. when hearts are gone Heartless appear, when body and soul are gone Nobodies appear, but what about ‘X’? whatever it may be that is what I believe Xion is and why she couldn’t be a nobody in the first place.

exactly my point Steve. Namine IS Kairi’s nobody. There was the same debate about Axel being Riku’s nobody before and that was also false too. Also if Xion was Kairi’s nobody, why would she be with Kairi near the end of KH 2 with Roxas? If anything Xion is most likely an unknown element within Kairi probably, not the nobody of Kairi, but perhaps some other element like her memories of Sora and her life or something entirely different.

The way I took the newest trailer from 358/2 it sounds like Xion is where Sora’s jumbled memories are being stored while Namine sorts them out and gets them back to Sora.

I don’t disagree The Heart with you on that, but don’t you think its a little predictable for kingdom hearts? I mean usually TN and his crew think outside the box and whatnot. Xion being Aqua would kinda ruin the purpose of figuring out who her somebody is and anything about her.

hey everyone i havn’t been on i a while i would but each time i get on i have to put in my name again and it gets very anoying. i am very pumped about this game coming out and does it look like you can get different weapons for the nobody’s in this game because the guy with the syth (idk his name off the top of my head)it looks like its a different one.

I’m not completely disagreeing with any of the other theories, it’s just my 2 cents. I don’t necessarily believe that it would be seen as predictable because it would explain a (possible) relation between the old Keyblade Knights or something of the sort.

Coded is about Jiminy finding a page in the journal that he didn’t write so King Mickey digitizes a version of Sora from KH to go back and check it out. I don’t really know what happened to Pluto though lol…he ends up in KH2 somehow though.

As far as I’m concerned Pluto in KH is like the ‘cockroache’ of any living being. It’ll be a cold snowy in Mexico City before anyone (if anyone at all) will take his heart and make a nobody and heartless (possibly unbirth, but we don’t even know how their made yet :p).

Yeah it will, but not sooner than the American release I’m sure. It’ll probably be this year for the EU and probably Australia, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up.

maybe it’s sorta like the same thing with Sora. In Re:COM his memories made a card of Twilight Town for him to explore and he said that he never remebered travelling to that world. I really couldn’t say at the moment what the connection could be.

It could be possible that Riku reverts back to his original form/look after KH when he meets Roxas before he gives in to the darkness and turns to Ansem without the blindfold.

although I would like to add that the final battle between him and Roxas is pretty much their first encounter though. The scene with Zexion I believe was more or less a vision. I didn’t Roxas at all in COM for the record at all to back me up here, except for the secret endings. Although I will also say that this isn’t the first SE has surprised me and probably won’t be the last.

exactly!! Otherwise he would have known about Roxas before hand. He even said it himself in the cutscenes of the battle ‘you really are HIS nobody…’. Riku would not have said that if he and Roxas met before. Zexion was clearly creating an illusion. Also Zexion is a dude OblivionRoxas. As far as we know now only Larxene and Xion are the only two female members of ORG XIII.

The game is taking place between the end of kh 1 through to the beginning of kh 2 with the events of COM right in between as well. Roxas existed and so did Sora, but they never met each other till much later during the events of kh 2 though. He only went to sleep becuase of his messed up memories. Roxas so happens to be connected because he is Sora’s nobody and has his memories of his former life along with Xion to a certain extent I’m sure.

We’ll see riku #1. I believe a certain part of Ven might be Roxas, but not completely all of him. It would explain Sora knowing about Twilight Town, but not remembering being there in the first place, should Ven have travelled there during Birth by Sleep. The main problem is how did Roxas come to be who he is? Or why MX has similar clothes to that of Ansem SOD? Or Whether or not the DS or Terra is truly the Xehanort we all know (personally I’m one of those rare ppl who say Terra + the DS.)?

Just because Ven looks like Roxas doesn’t mean he is him. I agree with master x that they’re related in someway but we just don’t know how yet. Maybe it’s more indirectly like having to do with Sora who’s nobody is Roxas.
riku #1: Roxas became part of Organization XIII when he came to be a nobody after Sora momentarily lost his heart…that’s what’s shown in 358/2.

No stress if we know now or not. KH Coded, KH BBS, and KH 358/2 days are coming out this year in Japan and momentarily for US and Europe over the course of this year and possibly going into Jan-Mar of next year anyway so we’ll eventually find out. On that topic, I recently got word from a certain kh website (I promised the guy who manages the website to keep the site name confidential sorry) that Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep is in post-production!!!!

actually that date was set up by IGN, don’t trust it, they’re morons when it comes setting Square Enix dates. They said KH BBS would be released on December 31, 2009 in Japan, but that’s wrong too since KH BBS is in post-production and getting ready for shipments, trailers, etc. The only reason that one too has been a little iffy on info (aka the KH Info drought) is one in part of the anticipated release of kh 358/2 days. However, I firmly believe the game will come out in NA sooner rather than later. Why you would ask? They had confirmed a North American release back in December last year. They never bring info like that to the ‘public’ unless the core of the project is finished.

post-production means that production of a certain thing in entertainment is at an end. In other words, the necessary work to get KH BBS ready for release is done and over!! It has not gotten a release date because of the hype with kh 358/2 days in coming up along with Coded episodes due in June. KH BBS has been speculated to be the last one to be released and it has been told to be taking longer than what was originally planned for.

KH BBS I would say would be on its way to release and might be delayed the same way with KH 358/2 days. I would not say it would be dec 31 For 2 reasons:
1. because everyone knows no game company or anything in entertainment at all releases something on the last day or first day of a month.
2. because it is in post-production, the game is ready to be sold in stores, but has been put on hold like a guy with customer service.
You heard it here first with KH BBS too: to be released between September through November 2009!!

I would think those would be reasonable time frames if you ask me. Usually after post-production things go by very fast for releasing movies, games, etc. The only thing that really is a pain in the butt now for kh 358/2 days for the game makers is shipping and handling to make hundreds of thousands of copies of the game. Likely that’ll be the same way with KH BBS and KH Coded (although I here there is a website that you can order episodes onto the mobile phone used to play it on). Also, yeah losing a heart and turning into a heartless are sort of different only if you count Riku who temporarily lost his heart to darkness, but retained his soul, body and heart together. In other words there wasn’t a sufficient ammount of time for him to turn into a heartless.

I guess I said I don’t think she is playable because even the recent trailers showed no playable character in the Story Mode other than Roxas at this point. I could be wrong for all I know, but let’s face it. SE probably would have hinted towards it by now, right? ‘tragic, but brave’ could mean anything you know. What about Roxas’ fate? He chose to become part of Sora once more when his time as a nobody ended, but he didn’t die. Axel was fighting Xion because of what Saix said to him. Clearly something that Xion is doing would have likely destroyed Roxas and Saix made him choose right there what he wanted to do: continue the trio friendship they have or save Roxas. Clearly Xion is going to have a major plot element in the story that has not been revealed to the public.

I thought I heard someone say once that when Tetsuya Nomura says stuff in interviews, its not as ‘literal as you would believe it to be’. Xion was told by him to not be playable. Yet almost half a year later we hear she is an unlockable character in multiplayer of the game. Right there he meant she is not initially playable, but can be if unlocked. I guess my point is we should play the game first and then we can make this interview a thing of the past and get psyked for its NA release along with Coded’s release in NA and (eventually) BBS in NA.

BBS as the creaters said somehow was loopy in the schedule, most likely I think cuz of stupid KH Coded getting released into ‘episodes’. They should have just released KH re: COM like a year earlier and started work on these three games sooner. It would have relieved a lot of the stress upon these game creaters if you ask me.

yeah I think I did see something on this back a few months ago on her name pronunciation. Although its too bad about all this though. It means that KH 3 will likely not be made before 2012 after all, like I hoped. Course then again, I was having second thoughts on its release and figured it would a little into to probably midway 2012 or early 2013.

Yes, middle school in anmerica is different, maybe, idk cuz I don’t know watbits like in canada.
But I have 7 hours of school, monday through friday,
For 10 months.
And some school have 6 classes a day and some have 3 one day, and 3 the next.
Also the standards are high and they try to fail us!
With 3 final exams for each class and a test called the “FCAT”, which is a big fat test given by the state that determines your placement in the next grade that you go to.
And you can only score from a 1-5. If the score is to low, you fail.

wow, and I thought kids in my ‘neck of the woods’ had it tough. We have standardized SATs and what not, but other than that our education system is kinda laid back. Not by much mind you, but a tad bit.

I wish I could be excited right now as you are, but for now I got a lot of stuff to do in the next week or so. Even out on the town there’s still stuff to do, but thankfully I can probably see that new Pixar movie UP and course do the countdown till kh 358/2 days comes out in N. America once we do get a release date.

my predictions about who she was were right, unfortunately for me. This just makes me even more sad to find out what the fate of Terra, Aqua and Ven are along with Master Xehanort and the Dark Soldier too for KH BBS. If I’m right about that one, pretty much the ending for that one won’t be pretty either.

now bear with me on this when I say this riku#1. The kingdom hearts series has captured my interest not just because its fun but it also has mirrored my life almost exactly. Now away from that little tidbit of info., the point to get out of this is that they may not die persay, even though my grandpa did die like thirteen years making a ‘great disaster’ occur for my family in general and whatnot. Anyhoo, I believe that a part of Ven may become part of Sora, I believe Aqua may be hiding out until the time was right for her to appear again to defend the KH universe, and as for Terra he eventually becomes Xehanort (being possessed by the Dark Solider after getting manipulated by whatever is left of Master Xehanort).

It makes sense if you ask me, because in order to save the kh universe, they would have had lock away Kingdom Hearts, but at the cost of each other’s future. With Terra being possessed by the Dark Soldier, whom being already possessed by a nearly destroyed Master Xehanort, would be found by Ansem and the story straight, Maleficent would eventually escape the Enchanted Dominion (after the end of Sleeping Beauty of course), part of Ven would become Sora’s nobody Roxas while the other part would be in the Room of Awakening and Aqua would be in her ‘unknown’ fate as of yet.

wow. me and my cuzin where just talking about how terra and xemnas look the same and how terras eyes turned yellow at the end of the trailer. so maybe he turned into a look alike of xemnas at that point! but xemnas is actually a nobody of xehanort, and if you go to kingdomhearts.wika.com, and search for xehanort, they have a SHOCKING resemblince. but its sad to think of how aqua, terra, and ven were such good freinds. knowing that there fate probably isnt so great. and if aqua is still alive and in hiding, it must be so depressing to think about it.
man im really rapped up in these games.
but nomura and his team make the story(s) so interesting!
oh and sorry about your grandfather. ive never met mine, he died when my mom was a baby, and my other grandfather wants nothing to do with me, or my family. but i have two step grandfathers.

That’s too bad riku#! It’s a sad predicament when a relative wants nothing to do with you. My parents sort of were in the same boat with me as a kid, so I had my own independance as a little kid, but being only 8 at the time (shocking I know) I couldn’t do anything. Anyways, not to weird anyone out, but I got my predictions about the future KH games kindof from my own life and how similar it was. Sora being in his pod for a year, me switching schools and my friends sort of forgetting me and remembering me the second I come back. Or better yet, my constant sibling rivalry with my older bro (like Sora with Riku) and how I looked after my little bro (like Sora did for Kairi). It’s a very freaky thing and to top it all off, Terra has a similar build to my older bro :p.

again to get to the point, KH BBS however is leading up to KH 3 from what Tetsuya Nomura said, so maybe we’ll see Terra, Ven and Aqua again as well and maybe MX/DS or both. We’ll definitely see a complete form of Xehanort (confirmed through Ansem SOD death first and then Xemnas death a year later).

And now that I think about it, my life is like kingdom hearts also, although I think of my self as riku, im constantly at rivlalry with my 11 yr old cousing, who surprisingly is really strong and sometimes seems older than me. (Like riku and sora) and its so strange, at my school there was this quiet gothic girl who was in one of my classes, but at some point she quit coming to school and I nevered thought about her, but last week I saw her walking her dog and all of a sudden I remembered her, but its wierd how she left and I never noticed it, and none of my friends remember her except for one but it took me forever to convince her that she even excisted. I think we all forgot about her though because she might have left after christmas break! But its wierd how my memory was blank about her for all that time. Because she would always stair at me and I kind of liked her…. lol

Also there’s this girl named lakota that me and my best friend really like. But she sort of likes my friend better than me, which keeps me distant from him some times when ever I see them together, it also causes a little jealousy. (Like riku and sora with kairi) but now she kind of likes me more than my friend, so now that we’ve gotten so close, I can’t even see her anymore because she got in a fight with some girl and is suspended. And its the last week of school, so she won’t be coming back, and my other friend is also suspended. (So its Like how sora, riku and kairi were all seperated)
You know I never thought how much my life was like kingdom hearts till now.

To be honest, I never thought about it much until KH BBS came into the picture, with my older and younger siblings being like that of Terra and Ven, I myself (a cross between Aqua and the Dark Soldier I would believe), my dad would be most like that of a cross between Yen Sid and Master Xehanort and my mom a cross between Maleficent and the Fairy Godmother.

I guess its scripting too. Axel before he met Roxas was very serious about his job and everything. Over the course of his time with Xion and Roxas he became a more relaxed and cool dude that we know of today.
